Jacob in to spread his experience

Jacob Butterfield is training with the Iron, it can be revealed.

The 32 year old well travelled midfielder was snapped in a training video published by the club.

Butterfield, a regular Championship performer for most of his career last played 19 times for St Johnstone as they narrowly avoided relegation to the Scottish Championship. Crucially, he is no stranger to Keith Hill having worked with him at Barnsley.

Butterfield will be looking to prove himself again to the manager whilst also being able to pass on his experience to the younger players.

One of the younger players includes 20 year old Kevan Kahoussi who is also training with the Iron having impressed recently when turning out for Brigg Town.

The diminutive winger who hails from the USA has represented Trinidad and Tobago at U17 level and has taken the courageous step of coming to the UK to try and forge a career for himself.

It is unclear if either will be involved in the upcoming friendly against Sheffield United but you wouldn’t bet against it as Hill looks to add to his group ready for the National League campaign.
