The conman was after breaking us and making money once we were liquidated and he get’s a slap on the wrist ?.
What a joke.

Do you work in a launderette WG? Some expert advice there lad!
Ha !. No, I can’t say I do. I used to have that happen all the time though as a kid buying shirts when my dear Old Mother used to abuse the washer’s temperature dial.
I also wash trainers few times a year in a muslin drawstring bag with some trainer cleaner popped in each trainer and it’s never done them any harm. They come up very clean and never had stitching come out. Cool wash and pop more delicate items in a bag and it prevents damage when they rattle around or catch on the drum.
If you use that as a mantra you can’t go wrong.
Football shirts are supposed to be washed on a cool setting and turned inside out to protect the stitching of the club crest/badge.
What you’re describing iron414 usually happens when it’s been washed on a far too high temp.
You can also put the shirt in a thin muslin wash bag to further protect it. You can buy them from e-bay fairly cheaply.
Typo there, yes I obviously meant to type Trolling. Awaywego is purely a wind up merchant and are not very good at hiding it either.
The website must be absolutely the worst online user experience ever
I suggest you go and take a look at other fan forums, this is light in comparison.
I think Clunan is starting to look like the Clunan who was playing brilliantly for the 1st half of last season. I personally think he keeps everything ticking in CM and is very neat and tidy. In don’t understand why people would want him dropped. In fact I find it mystifying.
Awaywego is purely strolling as he/it is in 90% of their posts.
Who gives a shite about Scunthorpe Telegraph ?. All the telegraph used to do was print old interviews which you could read several days before from other sources.
I suspect they’ll still want money out of us to report for us and we won’t pay it, which is quite right as I wouldn’t either.
I would watch Whitehall pissing around with water bottles, but I wouldn’t dream of drenching a rival player with a pint of beer, In my opinion you’re part of the problem.

Whitehall is a great finisher as shown yesterday, but the team fitter as it is now with players all over the pitch working harder, Whitehall does stick out now. I’ll be kind and just say he’s the least hard working player.
Beestin with the role he’s playing working as hard as he does and linking up the midfield and attack, I wouldn’t drop him. Carlton can finish and looks a more complete striker than Whitehall going by pre season so be interesting to see if Whitehall ups his game.
Roberts is lost playing this current role, at times in the first half we had absolutely nothing in CM
Same as against Brackley when he was subbed at half time, he doesn’t look suited to that role. From out wide cutting in there are few better at this level, but this central attacking role I’m not sure. I’d be surprised if Brogan isn’t picked before long if he doesn’t improve.
Roberts struggled again in that role, he looks awkward playing in that position. I’d give him a little while longer, but if he doesn’t improve Brogan needs to be starting.
Carlton is interesting, who would you start him in place of, Whitehall or Beestin ?
Whitehall is a strange one because today his all round game was poor, but popped up with an excelled finish. Beestin obviously isn’t a natural striker, but I think he plays an important role in this team as he’s clever and knits the midfield and attack together and he can also finish as shown against Brackley last sat.
Be interesting to see where Butler goes with it once Carlton is back.
Moving on to today’s performance, unspectacular first half, but improved drastically after the break and knocked in another two goals. We look a completely different team to last season in terms of fitness, team shape and overall physicality of the players.
It does make you think that if we had Butler as manager last season with Schofield as assistant with these fitness levels and more robust players, would we have been promoted with the ability of squad we had last season ?

Beestin (when Carlton is back) depending on formation
Beestin will only play in CM if there are no other options available, which going by the number we have is highly unlikely. Butler strictly sees him as a striker/forward.
Anyway on to Braithwaite, he’s training with us, but playing at Gainsborough which is not only handy to get him and keep him match fit, it’s important for development because he hasn’t played that many games throughout his career.
I will say though that if he keeps chalking up the assists for them it will be a matter of time before clubs start to take notice. Before it becomes a real possibility he could be poached by another club we’ll need to step in and offer him a full contract.
However much we all want it to stop it won’t and that’s not just at our club it’s football in general it’s always happened and all ways will
I’m sorry, but throwing a pint over an opposing player is taking it too far. It will be the same stupid stone island wannabee hooligans. The same group of pillocks which look to range from late teens to early 20’s are the one’s that have been doing it for a while. The same absolute spanners kept throwing flares on the pitch in the national league season.
If that group of idiots were permanently banned all the crap would stop.
How does the dual registration work with wages, and who has priority ?
I think we hold more power over him in terms of priority. Butler explained it fairly well and came across as he’s there to get his match fitness and he’ll be straight back here as and when we need him.
No idea when it comes to wages. Made a massive impression there already. 3 assists in his last match and one on his debut. Braithwaite’s a very, very good young un.
I wonder if the money from that land sale will go towards developing Quibell park, or at least put to one side for that ?. There is the simple fact though it could go towards clearing that covid loan that Mr seven names took out.
Brackley shaded it and were moving the ball around pretty well until we scored our second.
Interesting take, In my opinion we dealt with them easily. Apart from that 1 minute spell where Fitz made those two saves and one was cleared off the line, they weren’t allowed to play and showed very little. Calder their pacey FB got behind us once which resulted in a latch ditch tackle coming in.
Absolutely nothing besides that, we were a yard quicker all over the pitch and just closed them down for the full 90 mins. I remember last season us pressing all over the pitch and looked absolutely cream crackered from 25 minutes onwards as the fitness just wasn’t there.
I think the usual BS is along the lines of ‘in between jobs’. Heard a rumour he was in Cyprus, Spain or somewhere but probably just nonsense.
You’ve cracked it. Mr Dean has become an olive picker !
Whitehall wasn’t really at the races yesterday. I hope he improves for his sake because if he doesn’t we’ll be seeing Carlton and Beestin up top. Roberts looked really awkward and out of place playing centrally, it may be a problem trying to make room for him in this formation.
I’d start Brogan there personally, we need him on the pitch right from the off.
Cassidy, if you think that coverage was bad you should have watched certain matches last season. From the one’s I watched or should I say “tried” to watch, it kept buffering and you found yourself refreshing the stream.
The sound was garbage yesterday though, I have to agree there.
On the topic of our ex-manager, has this exciting young manager been snapped up by another club this summer?
No, he’s still gardening.
low volume which they blamed on the microphones
Pleased you mentioned this because I had my earphones plugged in on my laptop and it was pretty quiet. I thought it was my earphones to start with, but twigged the sound wasn’t that great.
Viewing experience much better than last season. I watched a few games on there last season and they buffered a lot, but this time it was smooth. Minus the low sound I was impressed.
I couldn’t really understand the downbeat and disparaging comments as to where we currently are as a squad, with many posters claiming we’d not really do anything this season.
Only one game in, but as a collective unit we look miles ahead of where we were last season. Players are much fitter and we look more organized and robust. Butler now actually reads the game and makes subs, we have more height and strength and won’t be bullied like last season.
Whitehall and Roberts were both off it, but apart from that we eased to victory without really ever getting out of second gear. Also to all the poster who were harping on about Butterfield as if he was the reincarnation of Zidane. Brogan came on and had the calmness and class which stood out at this level.
In my opinion if Whitehall doesn’t pull his finger out pretty sharpish I wouldn’t be surprised if we won’t be seeing Beestin and Carlton up front before too long. One potential problem is Roberts because going by that performance he positionally can’t play centrally. One word to describe that performance was awkward.
Brogan looked miles better and we as a team did as a result.
Kick down those Butterfield shrines folks, he’s long gone. I suggest you get building for Brogan.
Over the moon with the win.

We finished ahead of brackley last season with a manager for the most part who didn’t have a clue and a team that weren’t really fit enough.

With this new striker getting the winner.
Hopefully he puts pen to paper in time. Are we close to signing him or is this just speculation ?

The negativity is staggering.
I’ll for for a 2-0 iron win with Brogan and Whitehall netting.

That player in the training pic is definitely Duffus, so we can chalk the idea he’d be a big marquee signing. I sort of understand why we’ve gotten him on trial as he can play both on the left and right wing, as well as a striker.
I wonder if he’s being considered as more of a sub wide player in case we ever need to change shape ?
Hakeeb still available
Not a striker though, is he ?
Clunan was always nailed on to start as he’s the only real recognized defensive midfielder. If we can get the early last season Clunan and he keeps it going, he’ll be a huge asset.
Looked to me last season that he ran out of steam. Last season was his first full season of professional /full time football and it looked to have taken it’s toll. Also the birth of his first child thrown into the mix which is never easy to deal with.
last seasons matches and a good pre season with increased fitness levels and we may see the Clunan of the first half of last season but spread across a longer period of the season.
I wonder if this striker would be considered somewhat of a coup if he were to sign and this is why it’s been kept so quiet ?.
Regarding Carlton, he scored 16 goals last season and according to Butler his shot conversion rate was the highest in the league and had played as a striker in Ireland.
