Good job we had an astute businessman running the club to use that injury record and only agree to him having a 2 year deal, when most other players were given 1 year deals.
Dewhurst is the keeper from Sheffield United U23s. Played on loan at Boston apparently.
If fans do pay their money, how do the fans know the money won’t get wasted again on players not wanted by the manager? How about the owners turn up?
The club will never move forward as the swann’s relationship with the fans is too toxic. Swann has shattered the fans trust with his mismanagement of our cherished club, alienating loyal fans who have followed the club through good times and bad on the pitch, no longer trusting him with their hard earned cash.
Naming his asking price would help fans decide if he his serious about selling or giving the ground back might be a start in repairing the damage he’s caused.13 users thanked author for this post.
Swann’s rejected offers already, if he’s serious about selling, tell us your asking price so us fans can judge if your intention to sell is credible. Otherwise I suspect it’s convenient for you to keep the ground as security for your other loans.
As for the claims he hasn’t taken a penny out of the club, how about taking 300k a year in interest on the loans to fund the excessive spending and employing a chief scout not qualified to do the job.6 users thanked author for this post.
The head of recruitment did a great job on researching the attitude of these players.

I am sure it’s a perfectly normal business practice and we have no need to worry. After all it’s not as though this astute businessman has spectacularly mismanaged the finances of the club or has spent millions building a hotel that is still to open?

Is this the action of someone who is serious about selling the club?

He might have said it’s not the swann’s fault to protect his job, but he did say he needs total control with regards recruitment and his budget. We all know our managers haven’t had that and it’s cost us in recent years.
What hill said about the bad attitude and culture was the same as what karacan said at the end of last season.
We need to clear out players with the bad attitudes and inadequate ability. I think hill deserves to be judged when he has a competitive squad. This squad would be comfortably relegated regardless of who was in charge.I’ve heard swann’s asking price is a stumbling block. There are a few interested parties.
Witnessing the Harrogate debacle, relegation seemed inevitable, so had months to prepare.
I just want my club back, the sense of community pride in the club restored, no longer being an example of how not to run a club, being able to look forward to games when all 3 results are possible and most weeks knowing we will score a goal, perhaps even 2!
That can all happen in the national League, but it does need the swanns enable a quick sale and clear off.8 users thanked author for this post.
In addition to all the great memories mentioned
Scoring 8 at Torquay, and the vidiprinter writing eight to confirm it’s
Hayes running from half way and scoring against Hull at home.
The 2-0 away win at hull when Garcia made his debut and the Hull fans had a sit down protest in the centre circle
Lee Hodges beating 5 players and firing past Roy Carroll, fans on the Donny road end seemed to jump forward 3 rows
Beagrie beating lots of players, putting a brilliant cross in and Torps somehow missing from a yard when it was easier to score, think that was against Cambridge.
The 2 Josh Morris wonder goals against Charlton, after replacing Clayton Lewis
Adelakun’s injury time equaliser past Pickford at Bradford after were brilliant in the 2nd half.I can only remember the one season we nearly got relegated from the football league under Laws. Towards the end Wharton returned as chairman, reappointed laws and we stayed up. in the summer we signed Mussy, Crosby and Baraclough and that launched the march up the leagues.
Compare that with the professional running the club, nearly get relegated, lets get rid of our best players, sign rubbish players not wanted by any other EFL club within a transfer embargo.
Oh for the club to be ran as a hobby again.2 users thanked author for this post.
A good peaceful protest should help any potential new owners realise the fans are desperate for the disastrous swann era to end and the new owners will receive the full backing of the fans.

We are being informed on here that a sale could take a long time and there are not many people with sufficient funds. Is that because of the high asking price?

Quite right UTI99. If Peter says he is going to do something, we can all trust that will happen.
Can’t think of any bold promises he hasn’t delivered on!11 users thanked author for this post.
How dare fans express frustration or have the audacity to organise a peaceful protest at the massive financial mismanagement of our football club by one family, resulting in two of the worst seasons in the club’s history, going out the league without a fight for the first time in 72 years, and the club no longer owning our ground.

It doesn’t matter who we have as manager, Cox, Hill, Pep or Klopp. None of them would keep us up. This squad would struggle in the national League.
Interesting comments from hill pre match about how he speaks to other players about the characters of potential new signings. Can’t imagine the swann and cygnet have such good contacts based on the players they signed for Cox.1 user thanked author for this post.
