I think it’s unlikely we’ll score another goal let alone get another point.
The club is an absolute car crash. Given the quality in the NL we will struggle next season as well, that’s if the club still exists.4 users thanked author for this post.
I suspect he posts on here often enough but is anybody really bothered where he is ?

Thanks Cass, sorry hadn’t seen that one.

I think it’s all over bar the shouting and we are going down, due to the lack of activity on this board over the last couple of weeks I think most posters do as well – even the Bru team seem to havee stopped the podcast.
I think most teams in the NL will “do for us”
The squad we have now would be pulverised in the NL, most of them would struggle to get in a team in the top half.

I bet Cox has a bit of a smile on his face, a bit like Robbins and Alexander!

Is this in addition to “The Mintoe” (Nuttall) ?
The board is busy tonight looking at the numbers online ( and slow speed|) Mr Swann should take note, there is interest in the club !

The thing is if it all works is there enough games for them all to gel and win enough games, but at least its starting to look like the Chairman is making an effort so some on here may need to eat their words-at least until the trapdoor opens.
There have been murmurings of a gentlemen’s agreement made with Bristol so that he doesn’t play. Then again, this is Joey Barton we are talking about.
It was suggested on here that we should have got this in written into the sale contract hopefully this isn’t where you heard the “murmurings”, if you heard it elsewhere there could be some truth in it.
Unlikely anyone would want a two year contract without a get out clause to leave if we go down, perhaps we might want that as well.
Perhaps there’s no money left in the kitty and all the chairman’s funds are tied up elsewhere?
KH did say yesterday there was no moneyLook at SST’s post, seems like there was a replacement lined up but he decided to go elsewhere.
If this was the case it appears it was a mistake letting Loft go before the replacement deal was signed and sealed. But we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes and we will never know, the same as would be the case at many other clubs.Comments from Lee Turnbill on Hullberside were interesting “KDT not good enough” along with other comments he didn’t make but alluded to.
Easy to see why KDT hasn’t been near the first team, touched the ball once and tripped over his laces, and McAttee scored a blinder for the cods you couldn’t make it up.

Disregarding Wilson, its difficult to dispute that there have been plenty others who appear to have shown an indifferent attitude on the field, especially when they have wanted to get away.

You haee to wonder why we get so many players who end up with a question le attitude. I could have a good guess.

January 14, 2022 at 10:26 pm in reply to: SWANNS Last Chance to Save Our Football League Status #221659It’s sad when you think back what quality players we have had in the last ten years compared to the shower we have now.

Looking back I think this game was pivotal to the season, had we won we would have been out of the bottom two with a points gap and increased confidence from back to back wins, as it is Carlisle have now moved away from us, we are rooted in the bottom two and confidence especially amongst the supporters is low. It was a really bad game to lose.
The loss at Carlisle is also proving costly.I’m as frustrated as anyone at the lack of incoming personnel but historically most of the action is often towards the end of the month (although I think that may be too late for us) but unfortunately due to this its premature to comment on the chairman’s aspirations until the end of the window before then it is just speculation. I do think though that if there are no incomings then this may well give an indication to the future.
Not sure it really means anything, the club twitter account says they were recalled by parent club, not sent back by us.
No point in sacking Hill it’s not his fault and no other manager would do better. But I agree with WG that if we don’t get new players I wouldn’t be surprised to see him walk.

Hill seems to me to have a strong personality, if new players were part of him accepting the job, if he doesn’t get what he considers to be needed to have a fighting chance he will probably walk away at the end of the window, and who could blame him. The end of the window for new arrivals will probably be too late anyway, we will be cut adrift by then.

Unless there is significant benificial additions to the squad I can’t see us getting more than 38 points. Without strengthening why would we suddenly start winning games.
OK Hill has improved performances but there is still a lack of goals.
Going down I’m afraid, which is sad after 50 years watching the iron and introducing my two kids to them with championship football. Just hope that I’m wrong.
The fat ladys alarm went off a while ago, she is now gargling and warming up.I assume that any money spent would be another loan, is there any collateral left as security?
It wouldn’t suprise me to see Hill walk at the end of Jan.
WG, I do hope you are correct but I fear you are not. However it was rumoured there may be 4/5 incoming so who knows but I could see Hill walking if there isn’t.

Walk in the club reception area and the picture on the wall shows how far the club has fallen, the scoreboard in the picture shows “SUFC 1 – Newcastle 0”.
Loft clearly didn’t want to be here so he as well gone, although given past players tend to come back and score against us I hope there is a clause in the contract that he cant play against us this season.

When the EFL offices open surely Loft must be the first transfer to be processed, closely followed by our incoming replacement.
The sooner he’s gone the better, clearly his opinion of himself is higher than his actual capabilities.1 user thanked author for this post.
Seems like he has attitude, well rid.
