It was our money that we contributed to the EU that they give us back, and our unions that achieved most of our employment rights alot that are better terms than EU citizens have. If any of our governments decide to water any down than we have the power to vote them out and vote for the rights we want, in football alone the Bosman ruling has done us no favours.

Just a couple of points there, but as it’s you I won’t be bothering. 🤬

Thought that was what racism was all about, telling French gypsy travellers they are not wanted or considered not to belong. Must remember to tell the Irish travellers that next time.NOT well not if I want to live.

Thought wrong, again, although you’re ahead of your time as you seem to be in your own bubble. I don’t give a flying merde where the travellers came from, it wasn’t their land to camp on.
Simple question, travellers turn up on the car park on a Friday with a match scheduled for the next day. What should Colchester United have done?

IITB, you were one of a number of posters who say it should be “All Lives Matter”. I’ll explain why it isn’t.

As in a previous post I’ll refer back to the Suffragette Movement of the early 20th C. Their slogan was “Votes for Women”. It was not “Votes for All”.

Two reasons for this. 1. It was highlighting one particular demographic, the one that was suffering injustice. 2. Men already had the vote. It was about raising the rights of one group so that it was on an equal footing with the others.

We have had 300-400 years of “Only White Lives Matter” or to put it another way “Black Lives Don’t Matter”.

Many white people think that everything is now hunky-dory in our modern, enlightened age, but incidents home and abroad prove that it isn’t. That is why we need to show solidarity.

    Post of the year. 👍

“Unlawful interlopers”, I thought they were French travellers, bit of underlying racism there TW.

    Interloper:
noun, a person who becomes involved with a place or situation where they are not wanted or are considered not to belong.
    No underlying racism whatsoever, idiot.

Colchester chairman didn’t show much solidarity and support for oppressed ethnic groups when he had gypsy travellers removed from club car park in march 2019. If your going to talk the talk at least walk the walk. The Colchesters chairman is not to be trusted. You couldn’t have come up with a worst person to refer to.

He should of course have let them stay, and any others that followed them no matter how many. God alone knows what he was thinking of when he had them removed, how uncaring of him having to use perfectly lawful methods to protect CUFC’s property against unlawful interlopers.

When I have less time I’ll give you the abridged version!

that’s why the problem won’t go away…..I haven’t heard a racial chant at a football ground for at least 30 years

Aye, there’s no racism at football grounds any more!

Lewis Hamilton “stands with” US sports stars boycotting events to fight racism, but does not think him missing a race would have an effect. 27th Aug 2020.

Sports boycotts always go down well, or not. Much like the US boycotting the Moscow Olympics because of Russia’s invasion of Afghanistan. Russia retaliated by not attending the L.A. Olympics. Oddly after that the US invaded Afghanistan!

Shame Lewis isn’t bothered about going to Saudi,Bahrain, and China to race with all their human rights issues, and it would be nice if he and other sportsman paid their taxes in the UK.

Hamilton is in the top 5,000 UK tax payers, and has been very vocal about human rights issues.

Hope lower league chairman shut their grounds and refuse to play until in the appropriate tier, if they stick together not a lot the Elf could do about it.

vader, it’s only partly ‘their money’, SUFC has many income streams that don’t come from the Swann’s pocket. I have little doubt there are many Scunny supporters that, on a pro rata basis, have put far more cash in. Their business, your club.

You can go today in an executive box at Hull and watch the game on telly, so long as the curtains are closed so you can’t watch it in real life, there is even a time delay on the tv so you can’t watch it live. Also a cinema near West Ham s ground are showing the game. But know doubt preppers will think this ok.

Nice of them to keep the curtains closed!
Seriously, it’s an absolute load of toss. Football stadia should be open, with reduced capacity, after all you can’t catch Covid if attending tier seven, and below, matches. Nor can you catch it before 10pm, pub closing time, or if you have a pint with a substantial meal.

nine months into the year and no annual bowel screening for the over 60s.

Mrs NI got hers today, so not strictly true!

Been out today and sat in a pub beer garden this afto with live music and all. Tables socially distanced but obviously more than one household at each table!

The great Northeastern public sticking two fingers up at Boris and Co.

Tell Mrs NI to post her sample to 10 Downing Street! Hull City Council stopped 600 Hull City fans from attending today on a Covid rate of 14 per 100,000 (latest figure says it’s 6 per 100,000) yet Middlesbrough had fans inside the Riverside with an area Covid rate of 40.6 per 100,000 and a manager having tested positive. Tomorrow will see an open market held on the car park at the KCOM stadium, which will probably many more attending but no test and trace there though, barmy. Many have stuck two fingers up to Boris and Co. since drivable eye tests came in.

You should get a message saying ‘Predictions saved‘ upon saving the form. You may have to save the League Cup games, then do the EFL Trophy but it should save them all by clicking the one button.

Having checked, I can see your predictions are saved for both rounds of fixtures.

On another note, all players will be entered into a draw to win a copy of Max Bell’s book. Winner announced Saturday…

Dear Lord, if you exist, please let me be the winner. ;-)

    It’s our time.

    Righto, so that’s 25 points for a correct 2-1 or 1-2 scoreline?! 😜
