Prem, EFL & NL should introduce a ruling where clubs are only permitted to sell tickets from the start of the new season… I.e. 1st July.
These EBSTs are effectively just pay day loans to get clubs through the end of the season / summer.
    Needs ending.
Either you’re a viable business or you are not.
Wickes don’t ask me for money up front this year for a kitchen refurb I’m going to do in Jan 2026.
It’s comical, bad management and incompetent.

Years ago Hull brought in their membership scheme where you had to pay monthly by direct debit. I’ve always preferred paying in cash up front, they eventually listened and gave us the option of paying in full again. I again pay (actually Mrs Two buys me it for Christmas, the rotter) up front again.

Looking good for you chaps, as I quoted Steve Bruce a few months ago, ‘the season really starts to matter when the daffodils bloom’. Best of luck for the next few weeks.

Trumps a total narcissistic nut job, tariffs on, same day tariffs off now he’s clobbering us and Australia. If he can’t make the press headlines every day even with amateur nonsense he must break out in a cold sweat. It’s all ” look at me me me ” with him, absolute tosser not fit to lead the US.

Don’t dis the Don, who better to run their economy than a six times bankrupt.

Obviously Reverend Bill’s type of Christian is the founder of his church, twice divorced and six times married Henry VIII, Trump is well on the way down that path. I’m more of a Christian than Trump is, although unlike him I have no criminal convictions.

Fear not Gurney, as Bill keeps telling us the real treat to the world is from the Marxist Left, not the Fascist Right!

He can console himself at the next general election by voting Farage. That’s the serial adulterer, and twice divorced now living in ‘sin’ Farage, pray for him, BPG.

A friend (stop laughing AWG) I went to school with has organised the annual Tribfest at Sledmete House for years. It’s his only job as he makes enough money from it to see him through the year. It’s a three day event, £82.50 per day, or £165 for all three days. As I say he’s done it for years, and it attracts around 4,000 per year, so the best of luck with attracting 10,000.

I agree with BPG, it’s time the church went back to a traditional Archbishop of Canterbury, so a catholic it is.

As Brucie (Steve Bruce) said, the season starts to get real when the daffodils start to emerge. Three wins in a week is blooming good going.

Oh and that reminds me of the old joke,
What’s better than daffodils on your piano?
    Tulips on your organ.

My prediction is that Trump won’t turn out to be as bad as many fear, and he’ll be nowhere near as good as he’ll make himself out to be. As ever time will tell.

A number of my cousins are gonna be fretting.

They need to stop clutching their pearls, then remember that normal business practice is to football what Anne Widdecombe is to fast bowling in cricket.
That level of debt is nowhere near as large as some EFL clubs, and like others it’s dependent on an owner sustaining it. When the Turk came in he stayed it would be run as loss making. Like almost ever single football club owner, I have little trust him, a position I’ve long held and have yet to be let down.
    Abridged version,
    Situation normal, don’t fret.

On a positive note at least Scunny fans who’s second team is Spurs have preference over just general sales with having a ticket history.

Had to register with so many clubs over the last few seasons to able to buy tickets.

Second team? Nope, does not compute.

What was that you posted on t’other side? Something about too many people eager to spout toxic ‘bile’ in our society, 64. Care to rephrase your concerns in a way that doesn’t leave you looking like a hypocrite.

He is a hypocrite, those that say they’re not are liars, and we’re all liars. They’re human traits, it’s just a question of degree.

She speaks the truth,Gurnelista, turn away from a Christian worldview and chaos and misery is the outcome.

Follow a Christian worldview and you can be just as happy as many that don’t. Believe in heaven and when you draw your terminal breath prepare to never know you were wrong.

Breaking news, Butler had invited Turner to personally attend his next half-time talk, that way he can report on it verbatim. Also in his next interview if it’s a bad first half performance, he’s going to ignore a winning result and talk for the full four minutes plus about negatives only.

“A very cynical and uncaring Christian if you ask me.”
If you class yourself as a ‘cultural Christian’ you are not a Christian.
Only a “born again” Christian who declares with their mouth Jesus Christ is their Lord and Saviour is a Christian, but they must have received the undeserved gift of Regeneration before they have the ability to repent and have Faith.
Elon Musk and Trump lean more towards a Christian worldview, but are far from perfect.

Spoken like the parson in Kind Hearts and Coronets, hopefully not meeting the same end.
