Hilton/White needs to look up the meaning of the word “Forum”.
What a circus.

Looks like that’s the fee for Foster.

I wouldn’t have kept him, but to say he’s rubbish is just insulting the guy which a lot of fans seem to like doing. He’s had a career as a professional footballer and I thought in Nelson’s teams he did ok. I’m not going to go back and check but in the games I watched we probably got better results in games he played. A good signing for Worksop.

Good luck Capt C, I’m sure Grimsby won’t be near the league 2 trap door.
The reality for us is that the bookmakers won’t really be interested in NLN, as for the FA cup we’ve got to qualify for the first round….
The Mariners did well to escape the National League without throwing an insane amount of money at it which I fear, if we survive at all, Scunthorpe will have to do.Don’t know about Facebook but the Wikipedia page for SUFC now shows the stadium as
“New Manor Ground”
I really rate him and think he will do well, when you consider the shite team he’s played all his first team games behind he’s even better.
If Hull do send him out on loan let’s hope it’s a league above NLN, don’t want him turning up at a rival….2 users thanked author for this post.
Stop mentioning Facebook,I then go , check and see this garbage https://www.facebook.com/groups/1019664078503060/permalink/1663175277485267/
Thanks for that 64 ..i am a tad anti SM (fb twitter etc) but some interesting reading and a few warbles made me chuckle, not seeing anything too controversial from DH DW.
Yes thanks 64, interesting reading ! If I try look at Facebook it keeps asking me to sign up so I can’t read anything but I can via your link.
Apart from using the name White instead of Hilton, the name he is now known by, and basically telling someone to put up an oil rich Saudi with £200 million or shut up. Nothing controversial at all, reading that link everyone seems very happy, the new players are more interested in the project than the money, and now even Wilson can be arsed again and Butterfields thinking it might be ok.Better to be silent and thought an idiot than to speak up and remove all doubt.

Yes.
Oh well it was a good week !1 user thanked author for this post.
Top man.
Driving home from Halifax away I really thought he’d keep us up…
All the best and thanks for your hard work.2 users thanked author for this post.
Hilton is doing what he’s doing, whether anyone agrees or disagrees,he owns the club so that is that. Unfortunately Coolsilk Ltd own the ground and they are doing whatever they want to do and that is that.
It does seem to me that he is trying to fall out with anyone who doesn’t give 100% support to his way which does make me think he’s looking for an easy way to walk off.
Unless they are all just made up people on social media who don’t really exist 😬For those of us that aren’t registered on either Twitter or Facebook, would anyone post what has been said, incidentally the link to the Twitter thing comes back as an account that doesn’t exist.
Unfortunately I’m not on Facebook so don’t know what has been said. That Twitter link I posted now doesn’t exist, it was the one that had asked Hilton about what was happening and revealed the plan b ground share with a non league club.
The new owner clearly expects you to be viewing Twitter I-A. Get with the programme mate. I’m sure LK would concur ‘your club needs you!’ 🤣
Unfortunately just don’t try to look at the twitter account that “reached out” to Hilton for the latest update….
Maybe should have got the other podcast guy to ask during the reach out interview with Hilton.
The reality is, if Hilton doesn’t complete the GP purchase then Swann has engineered removing the ground from the club and having the ground to do as he wants development wise.
I don’t see how the numbers add up to give up on GP, rent a non league ground and build a new stadium which even at the most basic level will be £20 million.
I don’t know exactly what is going on but I think the fans are being played like a cheap fiddle. It’s unbelievable that aside from half a dozen twitter accounts the majority seem to be unaware or ok with it all.7 users thanked author for this post.

thought i would see what GTFC ground is like .. seems ok , take it open un covered end will be the away end for our “home” fixtures.
Local pubs and businesses can make hay while the suns shines with twice the number of home fixtures being played there.
Sloping pitch is good too.
Transport and parking aside, there will be numerous other issues moving a 3,000 person average attendance into somewhere set up for a third of that on a usual match day.
I think we really need to hope Mr H secures GP in some way.4) So is there a plan B if the GP plan doesn’t work?
“Yes, We signed an agreement on April 28th with a local club which meets league requirements and was approved by the league who have provided a licence for the current season. This is our plan B but is very much a contingency1 user thanked author for this post.
As someone who has visited a number of non league grounds and all the local area ones, get ready for a wake up call if SUFC end up playing at one.
The majority of the capacity will be standing and probably uncovered. A nice summers day for a pre season friendly then great. A Tuesday night in January not so great.
I’m sorry but if plan B playing at a non league ground becomes a reality it won’t be good.
I realise we have to play all away games at such places, but at home ?If we had more transparent updates from DH and the occasional interview with an independent journalist that asks more new questions and skirt round the edges less, Insider’s leaks might be redundant.
Spot on. I know there’s no actual local Iron reporter like the old evening telegraph days but surely Matt Dean or Olly “Bombshell” Turner should be all over the entire sufc story ?

Give in, be grateful it’s so much easier.
Because the said fan “reached out” to him, and he answered. There is no problem everything is in hand so no need for any official statement beyond that already issued 2 weeks ago.
😬

I got as far as “reached out” then threw up .So can someone précis for me
Everything the same as per the fans forum and the club statement that followed with the following additions
1) A plan b – that is an agreement with a local non league club to play there if Hilton’s GP lease idea fails, this has apparently been approved by the league.
2) Someone has produced a stadium design on a Sinclair zx81 and superimposed it on the new stadium site outline. This Twitter stuff is horrendous. Sorry but there’s been enough red flags around Hilton from day 1, my mind is made up that he’s bad news. I don’t see any signs that his reign will end positively, I’ll conserve my energy for the inevitable next bad chapter.
In the meantime another burner on Twitter abuses those asking valid questions about GP and the new land purchase.

I would have put that amount in to actually save the club. A fan owned company that actually owned the ground, securing it for Scunthorpe United to play there, either for ever or until DH builds a new place. But 1899 came across as a timeshare scheme for a seat in Mortz and a season ticket and also raised a number of questions that haven’t been satisfactorily answered, hence the low take up.May 18, 2023 at 10:26 pm in reply to: Is there evidence that Swann doesn’t actually want to sell the ground? #262637Looking at your point 2 it says nominated by Scunthorpe United Supporters Society Limited. Did Swann even know ?
Unless I’ve misheard Waltham on the radio humbs clip, he is saying Hilton might well have had contact with council officers, but Waltham himself hasn’t had anything to do with it and the planning process can’t be prejudged.
To be fair to Hilton if he’s spoken to someone at the council about it what more can he say at the forum ?a lot doesn’t make sense, if he is willing to pay 20k a month rent he may as well pay Swann up and build the new ground and sell GP off himself
Mick the way I heard that bit is that if Swann agrees to sort out the site issues preventing the sale then Hilton will pay him £20k a month rental for that period.
Of the issues Hilton raised with Swann to be resolved the one regarding the unregistered strip of land is the one that could take some time to complete (I think 2 to 3 months was mentioned).
Hilton clearly stated if Swann resolves the issues that were unknown to Hilton back in January then he will pay the £3.5m
They are probably calling each others bluff so we will probably find out the rights and wrongs of the situation when we know who blinks first.
I haven’t seen anyone else explain what he said like that, which seems quite reasonable. The club should make an announcement instead of a basically private forum resulting in more muddy water.
He’s assumed the fans will accept it all so why not……
