Got caught, got prosecuted and got sent to do his time.
Ok so the majority of fans on this message board are against David Hilton. But the majority of the football club’s fans are not members of Bru. The Facebook page is pro Hilton, and personally, so am I.
I get the feeling there are some on here who would see the club go down the drain, just because they don’t like or trust the chairman.
It really is quite sad…
Nothing to worry about then, enjoy the rest of the season and look forward to your seat in the new stadium in 2025.
Right so the situation is quite simple if he decides to go the club is finished no money or buyer means no iron, I personally don’t give toss about what his past is I only know he has kept the club going thus far . I also believe he has also got by far the majority of fans behind him so I hope sincerely he ignores the keyboard warriors and continues. I might be in the minority on this sight but who cares!UTI
The situation is more simple than the that. Right now in the present can he pay Swann for GP and pay for all the other stuff that is coming up ?
Clearly, he can’t, regardless of his past or The Athletic article.1 user thanked author for this post.
Is he the guy that is on bail and was banned by Turnbull ?
Insane.

Thanks,I’ll give this one a miss then. Even if only half are true believers that is a lot….
If you view some views from outside Bru you’d think half the town would be turning up anticipating some sort of Swann exorcism conducted by DH parachuting on to the pitch shouting ‘loads a money!!!’
How many members are there of the crazy Facebook group ? I don’t want to attend this match if there is a huge pro Hilton thing going on.
Dear David, this guy actually believes in you and clearly loves sufc, he actually wants to find ways to help resolve the whole sorry situation. I don’t agree with a lot of stuff he has said where he has referred to people that doubt you – David Hilton – as dick heads and idiots. But he is clearly a good, well meaning person and a fellow Iron supporter, are you really going to keep deceiving good well meaning people who just want to go and watch there local team every couple of weeks ?

On the chance that George Taft might look on here at some point – Please do not associate all supporters with any vile rubbish on Facebook or Twitter.
Good luck at Worksop and the future.3 users thanked author for this post.
And where did what he has put in come from ?
Let’s look at the facts. This club has again got a team to be proud of. We was hours from folding. To those with negative thoughts I ask you to go away and support another team. We have alot to thank Mr Hilton for. We all have done things which we later regretted.
Stay Mr Hilton and see this through , dont let the shit supporters ( if genuine supporters ) win. You can be the Boston Strangler for me , but how you have transformed my club in such a short time is amazing. Keep up the good work and good times and memories lay ahead.Yes, let us look at the facts. Where shall we start ? Week 1 when he shafted Nelson, or Week 34 when he admits he actually did have yet another name and was convicted of fraud ?
Who are we to judge, we are just the little people who pay their money to support a football team and pay their council tax. Maybe we have our own businesses and needed prompting by some helpful company to access a government scheme to reduce our rates, which we were also naive enough to actually be paying.
Wakey, wakey my friend, in 6 months time there is a real prospect that this guy will take us down the road to Gainsborough whilst Swann sells GP.2 users thanked author for this post.
We were in big trouble in January and we still are now. Arguably worse with the GP fiasco.
Listen to his statement, we are being conned, he has always got a justification. He had to steal £68k of public money just to get by.
The level of delusion about this amongst some fans is unbelievable. An ex player who hasn’t been payed properly getting grief on social media is disgusting.1 user thanked author for this post.
Yes, excellent post. I understand there is a referee assessor at every game at this level and that one of the reasons all games have to be filmed is for ref assessment. If so surely this ref isn’t going to get a very good assessment….
Unfortunately he won’t be the only ref that poor at this level.Do we really want to play that team again ? Bad enough we have to go to their place.
We are going to come against shite refs and rubbish, defensive teams all season. They were shite but we couldn’t do anything about it. Freak weather at 2 games is unlucky but, take it on the chin, learn the lesson and get on positively with rest of the season.
If it is ordered to be replayed does that mean Scales is still suspended for 3 matches as the Buxton one won’t count ?R.I.P
Very true !!
I based it on the fact that after 7 games we are at the stage where signing Bennett has become necessary….Good luck Richie !
Should do well at this level. We’ve already got injuries and suspension, and we haven’t even started with bad weather, even worse pitches, fa cup, fa trophy etc.
It is going to need a deep squad to get out of this league, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Carver and the other loan lads back at some stage.Good video. I don’t think it was a red card, if you slow it down Scales feet didn’t touch him. Player bought that with his overreaction which a decent ref wouldn’t be conned by. Having said that, why dive in and give a poor ref a decision to make ? I don’t think it was a foul on Whitehall in the build up, slowed down it was a good challenge and Whitehall fell over (again). Alfreton video editor seems to have missed both of the elbow incidents….
Fitzsimons will be disappointed he didn’t save both of their goals. Oh well, this is going to be a very tough season. South Shields game on Tuesday will tell a lot about how it’s going to go.Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from Feb 24th next year. Fewster could be a good signing from Forest. He had a couple of appearances for us last season on loan, not sure what happened to him after that.

Yeah. A handful of pretend ‘supporters’ who joined just after Hilton took control away from Herr Swann. Always spreading malicious falsehoods about our new chairman and posting prophases of doom and gloom.
Seems they revel in any bad news, whether it is true or not.
UTBI
Unfortunately the only people pretending are those such as you Kitchener. Pretending everything is ok.
I’ll do you a favour and keep quiet until the shit really hits the fan.August 23, 2023 at 2:06 pm in reply to: 17/08/23 – County Court Judgement – £14,591.00 – Case No. K1QZ9Z77 #270100Ok then IB, apart from 2 CCJs, a court case next week to be evicted from the stadium (which in the meantime has a capacity reduction), closing the academy, seriously reducing the staff, and referring to this site as vermin, is there anything Scunthorpe utd supporters should actually really worry about ?

Yep….
Does anyone know why Habib Mankanjuola who was signed as a dual registration between ourselves and Ilkeston was playing for Gainsborough trinity tonight?
Yes, his dual registration has been transferred from Ilkeston to Gainsborough.

Should help offset the horrendous losses of that pointless academy.
August 18, 2023 at 11:04 am in reply to: 09/08/23 – County Court Judgement – £1,547.00 – Case No. K5AA1W08 #269760My car has cost me £1500 this month (MOT, service new exhaust and timing belt).
If I didn’t pay the bill the garage could conceivably take me to court to settle the debt.
Could be any supplier of goods or services. I’m guessing it happens to other PLCs not just SUFC.
Having had my own small business in the past I can confirm non payment of bills is a massive problem.
Also NI, I’ve applied Hilton’s logic to your car costs this month and unfortunately it is completely unsustainable for you to run that vehicle.August 16, 2023 at 10:19 am in reply to: 09/08/23 – County Court Judgement – £1,547.00 – Case No. K5AA1W08 #269568It doesn’t say, Ferrite. It is just against sufc. From what I can work out it is online claim. The club have 30 days to pay or dispute it.
Judgement has been made. The club has 30 days to pay it and if they do, they can ask for the CCJ to be removed. If they don’t pay it within 30 days of the judgement it will remain on the club’s credit file for 5 / 7 years.
If you say so IB, I’m just a bloke who watches football, I thought applications could be made to set aside such judgements ?
Not that it matters if the club can’t pay 1500 quid.August 16, 2023 at 9:44 am in reply to: 09/08/23 – County Court Judgement – £1,547.00 – Case No. K5AA1W08 #269560It doesn’t say, Ferrite. Is it from Swanns time or Hilton’s ?
It is clear Hilton doesn’t want to spend money on anything he doesn’t feel is necessary – academy, groundsman, ticket office staff, stewards etc.
Personally, I don’t like that but maybe this is how Hilton does business, maybe it is all part of sorting out what’s left from Swann.
A board of directors is being assembled of business people and apparently experienced legal people, why are they happy to get involved , why hasn’t Turnbull run a mile away already ? How have Dean, Plummer, Butler and all the players been convinced to be at the club ?
Something is happening and we can only hope it will ok.
I’m not remotely convinced by Hilton yet, maybe he doesn’t have £3m, maybe he does. The club will have 30 days to pay the ccj it or dispute it.

Cracking game, we were just too strong for them. Whitehall probably did want his hatrick, but as Iron-awe says, the subs were spot on. Darlo couldn’t cope with Sembie Ferris and Elliot coming on at that point. Elliot could have had 3 himself in the last 10 minutes.
Credit to the Darlington fans who made it feel like an actual league game. Darlo’s keeper Taylor took some stick in the second half but to be fair he applauded the DRE at the final whistle.3 users thanked author for this post.
I won’t pretend to understand what is happening. Are we in The Twilight Zone or are things looking up ? Presumably there would be a major conflict of interest if the court action is going ahead ?
