Just been shown a clip of Jimmy Dean on Sky Sports News today. I really feel for him and I think I was wrong about not going tomorrow. I’ve donated to the fund and will be there tomorrow.

Hilton has debased it using Herbert as a mouthpiece.

Can anyone still believing anything that Hilton has said please explain why ?

I already said in another thread that I wasn’t going anymore whilst WHAM is there.
The banning issue just underlines that.
I can’t go and support a team built on not paying debts, ccjs, unpaid wages, pensions, ex players etc.
Scunthorpe United are cheating the other teams in the league and I won’t support that on principle.6 users thanked author for this post.
I think this is the end for David WHAM. He hasn’t got any control over the situation so he’s blasting any ammo he’s got left with these banning orders.
For the record I am 100% in solidarity with anyone banned by Hilton and his simpleton sidekick Herbert.3 users thanked author for this post.
I take it someone has been banned ?
Is this a real ban or a Herbert “come here again and I’ll throw your phone “ ban ?It is going to be a circus until Hilton has gone. The Herbert character is out of control.
It is at the stage now where at least administration would mean some adults entering the room.Joe, you’ve glossed over the fact that all the problems you described are down to Mr Hilton not paying for GP, and all the unpaid bills.
If he’s got the money, he has decided he isn’t going to carry on with his original plans which you bought into.
If he hasn’t got the money then he never had it when he told you he did…..
All because a story has come out about his past that actually you and a majority of fans you described are not bothered about.
You’ve got to hand it to Hilton, he’s pulling the plug on things and openly saying it’s him pulling that plug and he’s still got the full backing of good people like Joe.The great shame is that right now the stadium still exists and Swann does want to sell it, albeit seemingly not to Hilton. If in a years time, GP is being turned into flats or whatever else and we are part time, ground sharing at Gainsborough and looking at a future of NLN and below, or totally out of existence, then this period – Now – will be the point it could have been saved, but it will be too late.
In my opinion, getting Glanford Park secured should be the priority, and should have been the priority over an expensive squad.3 users thanked author for this post.

Quote from the fans forum statement in May – “ A new training facility has been secured, however its location at this stage cannot be disclosed. It was described as an excellent facility and a further £2m has been set aside to enhance the current facilities to provide everything required away from matchday. This is to include a gymnasium, players restaurant, medical facilities and, hopefully, temporary player accommodation. A state of the art 4G surface will also be installed along with several grass pitches and LED floodlighting. ”

Vultures circling already then. Wouldn’t surprise me after that directors statement if players were allowed to leave by any means possible.

Yeah, I agree, it’s basically don’t give up on us.
The reality from DHs final statement earlier in the week – “We have no home, as the previous owner refuses to now negotiate and demands vacant possession, and prior to that refused to accomodate a standard conveyancing process.”September 21, 2023 at 12:46 pm in reply to: So. Either DH Has Put Loadsa Money Into The Iron or He Has Not. #272995Don’t hold your breath, I doubt that money is touchable for such things….

I could be wrong, I ain’t no businessman, but that’s how I read their accounts on Companies House.1 user thanked author for this post.

My principles tell me not to go anymore as he is deliberately not paying people who are owed whilst paying for a team, which on paper, should walk the league. I don’t want to go and cheer that team, but if I don’t, and if lots other people don’t then the money dries up even faster.2 users thanked author for this post.

I’ve just been reading the Scunthorpe thread on The Fishy (I did skip the middle 200 pages !), I have to say that barring the few understandable “feck ‘em” views it is a very balanced debate on what has actually been happening here, and Hilton has been suspect to all on there from the start. The whole sorry saga has been summed up perfectly by Mappers. The general consensus on there seems to be we are finished, I just hope that turns out to be wrong.Credit where it’s due, their second goal is good.
September 20, 2023 at 9:21 am in reply to: So. Either DH Has Put Loadsa Money Into The Iron or He Has Not. #272861Apart from Iron Insider/Ironeye, I haven’t seen a single post on here actually calling for him to go at any point. Even IB just posts stuff about Hilton and doesn’t call for him to go. I don’t know If there are people saying that on Facebook and Twitter, I’m not on them.
If you read his statement from yesterday he stopped paying for almost everything except the players and coaches 7 weeks ago. People haven’t been paid, deliberately. Sorry, but that is wrong. How is this fair on the other clubs in our league ? It is basically cheating, and in my opinion is absolutely shameful and an embarrassment to Scunthorpe United.
Nobody is making him go down the road he’s taking, except himself. Stop being conned by all the bullshit talk he keeps spouting.
He says he’ll keep the club going until he sells, and not say anything else, good I’m happy to leave it at that.5 users thanked author for this post.
Hopefully not !!
premier iron, what on earth are you talking about ?
Things are now as bad as they could be, it is a time for unity not petty nonsense.2 users thanked author for this post.
Thanks. Oh dear.
I’ve caught up slightly and seen his statement on the club website now.Is this unfolding on Facebook and X ? Nothing happening on planet medium wave that I inhabit.
No I haven’t. But if they saw any of this coming then they smoke weirder shite than me
One from the trust wouldn’t go amiss, but then again they were missing yesterday at the corner.
It seems to me they are like rabbits in the headlights. They could never have imagined all that has happened and is happening.
Brackley guy thought it was a good game.

He’s done very well to get the noisiest supporters on his side. I think more of an issue for him is what did he tell the other directors and JD to get them onboard ?
Like it or not if this carries on l dont think we are going to have a club shame really but some people will be happy
If what carries on ?
Who will be happy ? -
