We can’t have our cake and eat it unless someone keeps buying us a new cake every time.
We aren’t that big a club but too big to survive down here or in the national league full time without efl money and more away fans etc.He did well today I thought, some good first touches.
No doubt from a legal point if they don’t want him there he has to be told in writing and I would imagine the new stadium guy, Hopper, is doing that so he can then call on Humbersides finest to help remove Mr Goat as a trespasser.
It just doesn’t sit right banning people unless there’s a threat of actual physical violence or damage – if that is the case then fair enough but if not, what are they worried about if they are right and he is wrong ?
Also I agree with Rene, ban that Zanetti clown by the same token.2 users thanked author for this post.
Praise be to Rene !
Maybe a return for Whitehall at some point ?They put their money in to keep the club in existence, and are trying to keep the whole thing on the rails and get us promoted out of this Dodge City league. This Sundays shenanigans are just that, shenanigans, lessons no doubt learned along the way.
After the unmitigated car crash of Hilton, the current board and Michelle in particular still have credit in the bank with me.4 users thanked author for this post.
I think Swann and Hilton haven’t helped with the way they went on, it is something that Michelle and Co could turn around.
For many reasons I’m not on Facebook or X (I mean if you’re still on there after Musk started doing Nazi salutes then you’re never coming off).
But one of the reasons is that you are sharing a social space with literally every person who’s got sufficient reading ability and a smart phone to create a login. If once you’re on there and someone whose views you disagree with starts disagreeing with you or being threatening or aggressive then you need a thick enough skin to take it or don’t go on there in the first place.
Personally I wouldn’t cope so I keep out in the same way there might be certain pubs I wouldn’t go in.
Gareth does his videos and uses X and Facebook to promote them so he’s sailing his boat on the Cess Pit Sea and can’t be surprised if a few sharks jump out when he makes a mistake.1 user thanked author for this post.
Apollo that is spot on.
The fc100000 guy did show an absolute lack of understanding regarding football fans. Actual football fans, like the core at Scunthorpe United, who will turn out again despite whatever disappointment occurs. Yes we will moan and we’ll complain but in the end we will keep supporting .
Are the 100,000 subscribers (assuming they could be found) going to keep paying if we finish 17th one year, are they going to cancel if some player misses a penalty in a playoff match which ends the season ?
One thing this whole debacle has shown is that Scunthorpe United have the number of actual supporters who could make a difference if it’s steered in the right direction. He certainly went in a blaze of glory then. If the club had let him have some burger vans outside on community day, we’d all still be non the wiser ….
When you read the fc100000 website, there is zero mention of Ebbsfleet or my football club.
To quote their website it says “Will Brooks & Michael Brady first discussed FC100,000 in late 2023, excited by the idea of creating a more sustainable and inclusive way of running a football club. “Will Brooks is the Ebbsfleet/myfootballclub guy which is glossed over as “crowdfunding experience”.
A red flag if ever there was one.

Firstly, thanks 64 for the information.
Secondly, I’ve just read about the whole Ebbsfleet saga and cannot believe Scunthorse United would entertain this idea for more than 1 millisecond.
FFS will the shite ever stop ?3 users thanked author for this post.
That Zanetti moron managed single handed to breach the fa rules the club was fined for. Reminding supporters about behaviour then letting some idiot loose on the pitch with a microphone to yell provocative abuse at 1500 opposition supporters was an embarrassing disaster.

Typical NLN game we’re all used to seeing now. Kiddie have learned to embrace the dark side since we played them earlier in the season. A 0-0 won by a stroke of luck. Pity Butler took the bait and got sent off.
Safe as prefabs then…..
Come on Rene, you don’t have to drop to 64’s horrible level.
Beck put a shift in today and it was acknowledged by the crowd when he went off.Isn’t it tonight ? I working this evening so can’t go but if it’s tomorrow I can.
I don’t know Apollo, most of the teams in the top half of the National League get half our attendance we should have the wherewithal to at least stay up if we can just get out of NLN.

It’s NLN, it is shite. Butler or Guardiola the players are a certain level. We are lucky that the club is paying league level wages to a few players so we occasionally see some good stuff.
Enjoy the beer on the terraces at away games whilst we’re here !But Butler reckons Boyce heard something pop. Conflicting accounts.
Anyway, what’s Butler doing, being all articulate and happy in his interview? He should know by now he has a stereotype to fit.
I think Butler said it was Clunan who felt something go pop, could be wrong but I thought he was referring to Clunan coming off in the interview I heard on RH.

Exactly Siderite.
Also, Roberts and Whitehall are the racehorses in this team. Any other position you can reasonably quickly get loanees in, so he’s got to be a bit careful with those two.2 users thanked author for this post.
I think the fact he left Whitehall on against Farsley, (he was on for a hatrick and why not let him try for it and go for top goalscorer as well), and he then picks up an injury and has to be subbed probably influenced the decision making against Brackley and Shields.
I think Butler probably would agree with your point Awaywego.1 user thanked author for this post.
He took Whitehall off on 75 minutes against Farsley at 4-0 up.
9 points, and let’s face it we will probably beat Brackley, draw with Shields and lose to Market. will only keep us at pace with Kidderminster who are 4 points ahead and a game in hand which they will win.
Stan will play three different line ups with out any forethought or planning
A week is a long time in football. Beat Brackley, beat Shields and 6 points so far, same starting line up both games.
Whatever we might think about substitutions the manager has to consider game time for the whole squad, injuries, fitness issues, playing loanees and getting the whole circus successfully to the end of the season. If Butler had left Roberts and Whitehall on and there was an injury or they weren’t fully at the races in the next game he’d be criticised.
Horrendous as that Rushall defeat was, I think it was the best kick up the arse this team could have got. None of the teams in this league are just going to roll over against us however big we might think we still are, and hopefully now they’ll treat Needham with enough respect to get a result and make it 9 points from the destiny defining week.
And Kiddie are bottling it !1 user thanked author for this post.
Presumably we can recall Shrimpton and Brogan as required and both will have been playing regularly which is at least good squad management.
It’s a thankless task.

It’s an easy issue to bring up but it wasn’t too many subs that caused Boyce to f*** up and gift them the first and it was just switching off that let them in for the second, I’m just glad we have won the last two games and we’ve seen 10 goals, great entertainment.
I don’t know if anyone else saw it but it looked like Boycey threw up on the pitch just before the match kicked off, I wonder if he was ill and hence subbed at half time. Blackett certainly couldn’t believe his luck with that header…

I don’t know, what are the murmurings ?
I’m not in the know and no one stood near me in the DRE murmured anything except when Beck and Evans came on.2 users thanked author for this post.
Sounds like a storm in a teacup. I had zero interest in Maw after his video performances in worship of Hilton and insults to anyone questioning where Hilton was taking the football club. If he wants to start some sort of new group then fine, go ahead, I am not interested in joining it or taking part in any of its fundraising activities.
I am quite sure it’s existence will be of no consequence to The Iron Trust, an organisation without which Glanford Park would doubtless have already been bulldozed.Your opinion is not fact,no matter how hard you try make it so
I listed 5 things I’m reasonably confident are facts.
I’ve given my opinion, it can only ever be that – a personal opinion or belief, I can’t make it a fact and I’m not trying to.That’s hilarious coming from you 64.
Ok, let’s stick to facts then :
1. Ross Barrows has ruptured his ACL.
2. The pitch has been ruined by a substandard renovation and is covered with sand.
3. There is a lot of that sand in the area where Ross was injured.
4. He wasn’t tackled by another player, in fact there was no one near him, but he started to turn as he ran and dropped to the ground.
5. This a forum on the internet supposedly for people interested in or maybe even supporters of Scunthorpe United Football Club to exchange views and opinions relating to said football club.My opinion, drawn from those facts led me to answer Yes to Ironawes question as to whether the “dodgy pitch was to blame”.
If anyone wishes to post a different opinion then I will respect that.
I was stood in the Donny Road end, saw it happen and knew straight away it was bad from the way I saw him drop to the ground. All the best to Ross Barrows, it is a serious injury but from what I have seen and heard from him he has the character to come back from such an injury.
