“ The owner of an asset of community value must inform the local authority if they wish to sell the asset. If a qualifying community group wants to buy the asset, they can trigger a moratorium for six months, to give them a chance to raise the money to purchase the asset. The owner does not have to sell to a community group. The asset of community value listing only improves the chances of community groups being able to purchase by providing more time to raise funds. It does not require the owner to sell at a discount.”

I would assume GP is no longer subject to an ACV.

The majority of the posters on this forum should be old enough to know there are two sides to every story.
Swann and Hilton, one is shouting the odds via social media to anyone who’ll listen, the other is keeping quiet which is the way it should be.
Anyone naive enough to believe the one who shouts loudest is the one that’s in the right will be brought down to earth with a bump IMO.
I don’t know how this court case will go, neither do any posters on this forum, on Facebook or Twitter, there’s far too many armchair lawyers and despite many of them claiming to know the law, none of them know the details of the deal that was agreed in January.
They only know what the two parties have publicly disclosed so one of them is a liar.
The judge and lawyers will sift through it and a decision will be made, either way it’s to the detriment of Scunthorpe United and it’s supporters.

Well this is how far Scunthorpe United have sunk.
A burger flipping snack van owner on an industrial estate on a Derbyshire backwater is advising us on how to run our clubs catering.

Some of the members of the cult of Dave are having their judgement clouded.
Judges only deal with the law, not what’s best for football supporters.
As for Mr Loophole, I can’t imagine any judge will be swayed by his tactics.
As much as none of us want the outcome, I don’t see anything other than Swann coming out of this absolute debacle on top.

    Supposedly within weeks in Leeds.
According to Mr Loophole in the non league paper he’s convinced he’ll win and will see the next season out at GP.
I’m not convinced but then I’m not a high court judge.

That was yesterday. We’ve moved on. Today is another day. Today I’m getting a tattoo of DH’s fizzog on my chest. UTI!

Please don’t or we’ll have old man Nally on here offering to put your photo on the cover of Ilkestons match day programme.

I would not concern yourself too much with the catering at Glandford Park, you are very unlikely to ever cross paths with it, as you do not attend games as you are not a supporter of Scunthorpe United!… a supporter attends games, pays at the turnstile to support the club and spends a few quid in there on food and beers.. you don’t contribute one penny!… you are a fan Mr Deereyme.. not a supporter.. unlike some of the people you slag of, who pay good money to follow the Iron.
Just hope you don’t decide to follow Ilkeston with your financial contribution, we wouldn’t be able to buy a corner flag with it! Stop all your crap posts to cause unrest among genuine fans… and give everyone a break from your negative posts day in day out!
Take a holiday somewhere away from your keyboard!

Congratulations, you managed 3 days this time with your last flounce, stating you weren’t logging in again.
At least this time you didn’t start telling how wonderful your son is and how wonderful Ilkeston is.
I have no interest in anything you have to say, you’re only aim on this forum is to divide the fan base you absolute weapon!

Clappers Facebook is full of posters from Bru, not just his posts he answers the questions as well, Bru member asking question on the drinking in the ground and answered very positively, another asking about opening bar in the main stand and he said he’ll have a look. The only promise I’ve seen him make is with the catering.

“ Facebook is full of posters from Bru”, that is massive exaggeration, no it’s not!
“the only promise I’ve seen him make is with the catering”, really?
Are you conveniently forgetting promises about a new stadium being built by May 2025?
Are you forgetting about the promise that he’d bought GP and the surrounding land?
Have you forgot about him promising that the academy would not be scrapped?
    You have memory problems.

An extremely informative post by Hilton on the Clappers Facebook, I’d like to congratulate him on it.
He really seems to be the answer to everything that’s been going wrong since Swann lost interest in the club.
Words are cheap though, we’ve heard it all before!
If he carries through with “ALL”the promises he’s made since arriving I promise to come back on here to hold my hands up and worship him like the clappers on Facebook do.
I must first point out that so far none of those promises have come to fruition.

No access to seats or facilities through the director’s box anymore only in emergencies.

As I understand it there’s an unregistered strip of floor in the entrance but Mr Loophole is consulting with his lawyers to ensure a discount on the price of the stadium.
Until then, signs are to be printed on A4 sheets and sellotaped to the doors warning it’s illegal to trespass according to some law he’s dreaming up.

“Once he has regained possession”? I believe he still owns the ground doesn’t he?

I managed 15 seconds watching that.
Why these attention seekers post this stuff on the internet baffles me.
Also, why anyone over the age of 16, especially guys with a fat beer gut think it’s acceptable to wear a football shirt is beyond comprehension.

I’ve not witnessed anyone on here that would rather we become a phoenix club, I certainly don’t want that outcome although if I’m honest I think that’s what will eventually happen.
I can’t possibly see a judge ruling in favour of Mr Loophole and anyone who thinks there’ll be a new stadium on Glebe road in less than 2 years is deluded.
Wether Swann can be convinced to rent GP to the club whilst he tries to sell it once he’s regained possession would be beneficial to both sides, but I don’t see that happening either.
To ground share would be disastrous to the club, nearly 1400 season ticket holders wouldn’t all be able to travel and non season ticket holders wouldn’t go out of their way to either.
Smaller gates and renting of an alternative stadium wouldn’t be financially viable leading to the inevitable walking away of Mr Loophole.

Neither does Hilton receive ‘abuse and insults’ on here from anyone ‘on a daily basis’, as previously mentioned.

I’ve never seen any abuse of Hilton on the forum as suggested by Patrick Nally.
I’ve only ever stated that I’m sceptical, after the antics of the last owner I’ve an absolute right to.
When this owner proves himself then I’ll back him.

Think I will log out here for a good while and avoid silly comments like yours.

He came out with that line a couple of days ago and within 24 hours was back with his patronising drivel about how Mr Loophole has saved us.
He hasn’t saved us yet, the club has no assets, we’re squatting in what was our home and the likelihood is we’ll be evicted in the near future.
That aside, I couldn’t give a monkeys chuff about Ilkeston or the interaction his son has with its supporters.
This is a forum for Scunthorpe United.

Difference between IB and this Patrick character is IB has only one target and that’s Hilton, whilst Hilton best mates dad attacks anyone on this forum who dares to question Hilton, describing them as the “usual suspects” and “not true fans”, a bit of advice pal, stick to licking the back sides of anyone who doesn’t question Hilton’s motives for being at the club.
FYI, I’ve supported the club for just short of 60 years, I’m a shareholder and have been for 40 years, I’ve followed them home and away for years.
It doesn’t make me less or more of a fan than anyone else, it does however allow me an opinion on what is happening at the club I’ve supported since childhood.
As for Hilton, yes I have conversations with him on more than one occasion, do I trust him?
The answer to that question is, I’m sceptical and I’m unsure as to his motives for being here.
Why would a businessman who has no links to the town or the club want to invest £millions in a club that’s losing £millions unless there’s something in it for him?
That’s the question you all should be asking.

Does our local radio cover the Iron anymore?

Not seen anything on their Twitter account about us for weeks. Plenty about Hull rugby league teams and the region’s 2 EFL teams during that time.

Is Ollie still with them or did he fall victim to the recent cull at the BBC?

Only one tweet from him re the late accounts filing since early May.

He won’t talk to Ollie, I’ve an idea it goes back to announcing Dean as the new manager before Hilton/White/Anderson had chance to speak to Nelson.

Hilton chooses Facebook to either admit or deny any rumours and knows he can’t fail as the vast majority are gullible and are members of the cult of Dave.
However despite repeated requests from Humberside and Lincolnshire radio stations he refuses to be interviewed.
The question is why, what has he to hide?
A sports reporter on our local radio station asks difficult questions and has an uncanny way of getting to the truth, Hilton won’t speak to him whilst being recorded, why is that?

Getting kicked out one stand at a time eh?

Many a true word said in jest!
Then again, perhaps Hilton/White/Anderson has done yet another U turn and decided to build this super duper 1899 bar with air conditioning and big screen TVs with Sky that he promised these investors with more money than sense.

SNOT, jingles doesn’t go anymore the ban at Rochdale was the end for him, his brother Steve still goes as does mad Mick, Steve Pearson and fozzy, never went myself with them but my son and his mates did and they all turned into model citizens of today, it was the tranny van iron at the time and an holigan element was associated with it not necessarily their van there were a few Toppo’s for one, it was the telegraph and Humberside finest who come up with Trent valley infantry after Halifax away when someone with a gem marker daubed TVI everywhere in the pub they never did get anybody for all their efforts who useless were they? but the lads did tone it down after that, great lads and landlords of the country loved them always outside the pubs before they opened up banging on the door even as further afeild as Torquay and Plymouth.

Paul lives in Burton upon stather last I heard.
Long trips we used to pick up the van Friday and away early for a Saturday match.
We never missed opening time at any town we were playing in.
As for Halifax, that was some day, if memory serves me right, we kicked the big double gates in and all went in without paying.
As for model citizens, we all were and still are.

    Jingles …. that name rings a bell…

i recall TJS just odd Scotter bottom was one rental place and i drew the short straw to drive a shitty old white Leyland van away to either Darlo or Hartlepool.

Didnt one of the Scunny fans at that time win the lottery ?? Simmo a bin man if i recall correct.

I forgot about Simmo, yes he did, had a fairly substantial win.
Seem to remember he was in court for the the war against the cod’s in town.
Nearly certain he didn’t go down for it like some of the others did.
I also remember a match, close to Christmas that got called off about 2:45 because of torrential rain.
We were all on the way to the ground in taxis from the Poacher when it was announced so turned the taxis round and went back to the pub.

Not seen Skelly for a year or so.
Those were the days, picking the van up 1st thing Saturday morning from Ready rent a van and off to wherever the Iron were playing.
The likes of Jingles and his brother Steve, ship and his brother young ship, big Aidy who famously fell asleep in the snow and ice on the open terrace at Belle Vue cos he’d had a few.
We called ourselves TVI, it stood for Transit Van Iron but some wag came up with Trent Valley Infantry for some non existent hooligan element, we found it amusing.
Home matches we all used to drink in the poacher and order a fleet of taxis for 2:30.
I remember playing Darlington at home and a load of there supporters rocked up at the poacher, one group lost the deposit for the van as Jingles put an empty beer keg through the windscreen.
Turning up at the Earl of Crewe for an early session at the play off game that Steve had organised with the landlord because we’d behaved in there a couple of weeks before, only for the word to get out that he was going to open up early for us, when we got there, there was dozens of Scunny supporters had beat us there.
Many more memories, always a competition on away games at motorway services on who could come out with the most stock but pay the least amount of money.

Starting to get annoyed with this Patrick’s rambling and accusations on here.
There are no Swann fans on this forum, in fact the opposite is true and I take exception to your baseless accusation.
We have usernames on here because the forum demands it, we don’t have them so we can hide from the likes of you that has no connection with our club other than worshipping our current owner.
Is it coincidence that you’ve come out with the same comments as Hilton did when he was trashing us I.e, we all being Swann lovers and if we don’t agree with closing the academy then to pay for it ourselves?
No coincidence as I’ll take an educated guess that Hilton gets to know what’s posted on here because Patrick monitors the forum constantly and reports its contents to his friend Hilton, hence his unwarranted rant on Facebook against this forum.
Congratulations for the hospitality you showed towards our supporters yesterday, stick to acknowledging their thanks to you on the Ilkeston thread.
Your interference on other threads bad mouthing any supporters who don’t agree with your sons best friend’s decision on the academy, describing them as “The usual suspects” and accusing them of not being true supporters is neither warranted or deserved.

How long has this Patrick0811 been a member on irnbru, since March this year. I guess he knew Hilton was going to take over our Club name. Who is he related too? Fair questions I think. Seems he doesn’t think questions should be asked or opinions had. Up to know Hilton hasn’t proved himself in my opinion as to what his primary interests are with our Club. If he really wanted success for our club, surely he like any owner whose heart was in the club, would not be squatting in our stadium and refusing to pay what he has previously agreed on so we do not lose our home. He has done so many uturns and all this uncertainty is not good for the footballing side and in my opinion will not create success.

This Patrick character is the father of Andrew Nally the chairman of Ilkeston and business partner of David Hilton.

A post unashamedly copied from a Scunthorpe United fan on the fans Facebook page, I await Hilton’s reply.

“David White whilst rationale makes perfect sense, how about you review the situation properly before make statements (or rather non official social media posts).
Firstly you scrap the youth, then a week later the kids are relieved that you have listened, now, so far down the line they will likely struggle to find a club now you have U-turned again.
How can you expect fans to be fully behind you when you don’t do your homework first and stick to a decision. We as fans are clearly going to have trust issues after the previous regime, and you are hardly endearing yourself to a large proportion of fans with the amount of on the face of it back tracking and changes in circumstances.
Oh and by the way, if you would rather invest to try and get us back to the league asap, why would you employ a manager with half a year experience at the level we find ourselves with no proven record, it’s almost our very own Ted Lasso when you think of it…”
