As for the owners tour of the stands yesterday, you can fool some of the people some of the time.
As for Awaywego, I’m highly amused that I’m living rent free in the old fools head.

As I stated earlier, he wasn’t hacked!
He has already confessed to someone that works at the club that he was responsible for his “picture” requests on X.
That is why he temporarily deleted his social media accounts and went into hiding until he could think of an excuse.

Maw has admitted to people at GP that it was himself that was responsible for the requests of nude pictures of young girls, that is why he disappeared and closed down his social media.
I have spoken to people at GP that he owned up to!
Why is he now claiming he was hacked, perhaps it’s taken him a few weeks to think of it.

As the three people who are pushing this Unity Group are associating themselves and the group with Scunthorpe United.
The club should come out with a public statement either associating or disassociating themselves with the group.
The new CEO could perhaps earn his wages and enlighten us all as statements from the three group owners mean nothing to me.

    Couple of points.
I can’t be arsed to go through the thread to see if these points have been asked before.
The Christmas party, am I right in believing that at the last minute Maw stepped in with £500 from the bank account from his fund raising, my question is why was it in his bank account and not in the clubs bank account? as he claimed all funds raised were for the the club.
Secondly, Maw along with his two partners are to restart his fund raising, not for the club but to subsidise away travel.
As a coach holds around 50 supporters, why is he expecting the fan base to subsidise 50 supporters bus fares?
    Sounds dodgy to me.

I do hope Stewart Maw won’t be putting himself forward.
No room for his type should be allowed in any roll of responsibility in any organisation associated with Scunthorpe United.

Those that bought season tickets with fistfuls of £20 notes when the fraudulent con man was at the club, were they genuine fans?
Mugs, that’s what they were, he never got a penny out of me.

New to them as well but a reset is needed.

I know little about pitches and how long they need to be left before use but one month seems a bit soon. Or is that the standard time, if it’s decent quality?

No, usual time is a lot longer but when a cowboy firm claims they have “miracle quick growing seed” and customer falls for it!!!
It hadn’t been relaid the season before because Hilton wouldn’t pay for it so IMO it should’ve been turfed instead of scraped and seeded.

    The pitch.
An ex,ex,ex Director recommend and engaged the cowboys that relaid the pitch last close season, one of the reasons why he got his 3rd ex.
The cowboy firm claimed that from laying to being suitable for use was a month, the reason that the club carried on letting out the pitch up to 3 times a day for a further month after the season ended.
As it became clear that the pitch, a month after being laid was never going to be ready a new team was brought in to attempt to salvage the pitch forcing a pre season friendly to be cancelled.
    Whose fault is it?
An ex,ex, ex Director for engaging cowboys, and the club for believing him.
Will the pitch last the season?
    I very much doubt it.
Was the pitch the reason for Ross Barrows injury?
    Certainly a contributing factor.
All we can do as supporters is wish him as speedy recovery as is possible.

    Spellcheck Sidey…
    Earl is an ignorant sod

The only person on the forum I’ve come across that appears to have a problem with Jerry Mahoney is you.
You have some weird obsession which says more about you than it does him.
    Seek help.

He’s now taken to reporting to the police anyone posting anything on social media that he doesn’t like.
In return the local police have taken to tracking down, visiting and issuing Community Resolution Orders.

Vanity project for Maw and he’s roped in Mahony who’s partial to a Freebie or 100. Go away FFS and support the team from the Terraces like everyone else.

The same Jerry Mahoney that’s volunteered at the club for the best part of 50 years without ever taking anything for it.
Wow, you really are a bitter man!

Anyone notice Simon Elliott has reappeared, how long before he is “invited” back into the boardroom

It will never happen, not during the tenure of the current owners.

I’ve just watched the YouTube video that Maw has posted.
Demanding Ellis is removed from the board of the trust before playing the mental health card.
Bloody attention seeker, but not as big an attention seeker as our local wannabe Prime Minister Max Bellend.

Doesn’t matter what the poll says.

As I’ve previously stated, he wouldn’t be my choice to lead us next season.

In case anybody didn’t see it further up the thread, he’s here for the foreseeable.
Not what I would’ve wanted but the board do.

So who is the jaw-dropping new appointment you’ve been telling us about?

“Jaw dropping”, where did I state that?
The words I used was “impressed with”.
I’m impressed with the appointment, obviously awayyago isn’t but then the only thing that impresses him is his bullshit.
As for when you find out,it’s obviously when it’s announced.

    OK I’ll bite.
I’ve spoken to Simon Elliott at length, I’m not now and never was a fan but I’ll leave it there.
Ian Sharp, spoken to him on many occasions, 100% genuine and put his money where his mouth is, I haven’t a bad word for him, he’s Scunthorpe United through and through and doesn’t deserve the bad mouthing from certain posters on here that have never met him and wouldn’t have the bottle to say it to his face, if they did he would just laugh at them.
As for Lee Turnbull, yet again there’s those on here bad mouth him but wouldn’t have the bollocks to say it to his face, not that Lee would give a shit anyway.
