Surely the feed back they are getting is “sorry your bid is too low that is why we are turning down your offer”?

We don’t actually have that much debt do we? Previously it was all owed to Coolsilk who took the ground to cancel that out.

From what I hear the money we need to find is for immediate cash flow. Not sure where the 250k figure has come from

Rumour is we owe the kit manufacturers thousands? This could maybe incluedyif true? .

Under 18’s played a Dutch under 18’s team today so could be something in that regarding the London businessman.

One is believed to be a businessman from London (owner of a Dutch company) and the other is supposed to be a local group.

2 separate parties, Matt Ellis on Twitter has put on, seems true about the rumours of needing £250k by end of month which is why they are trying to get it done swiftly.

Rules wouldn’t allow the club to be dissolved so number 4 n/a. Liquidation would mean bringing a liquidator, administrator in who would then try and get a deal to sell the club, taking Swann out of the equation losing control of all assets and club bank accounts, far easier to sell it himself and likely to get more for it. So I would say number 3 highly unlikely at the moment. Hope for number 2 but 1 will do for now.

Does Scunthorpe United have any assets or do COOLSILK own the assets?, if he puts Scunthorpe United up for administration will it affect COOLSILK if that is a separate entity? Would any potential new buyers have to rent the ground off COOLSILK if that were the case?

The role of the director is to represent and promote the opinions of the fans, if enough of us get in touch and express our disapproval at Hill still being at the helm he will have to act, sent my email in already.

Getting quite a bit of stick on twitter this evening.

Was a fairly average game up until the youngsters came on, they ripped the Farsley team to pieces who had obviously tired but they played fast attacking football and looked like scoring every time they got into the last third, was a nice ground with a bar and outdoor drinking area once you went through the turnstiles and a little food outlet which served better food than we have on offer (not hard I know), and the trains were running which was a bonus and bargain (£8.70 return for me and my lad from Adwick to New Pudsey!) Train was full of Donny fans on way back who were fairly upbeat with a point away at Bradford with 10 men for half the game, overall a good day and Keith has a big headache regarding team selection for next week now I think after the youths performance

32 years old, lots of higher level experience, possible captain material?

I like the fact we are getting a bit of experience through the spine, Boyce, Butterfield, Nuttall, more needed though and the clock is ticking.

Oh! and we need a kit to play in (preferably two in case of a colour clash when were away)

Regarding Kit it has been said it will be unveiled at the Sheffield United game.

Being released by Eastleigh doesn’t excite me. If they don’t want him doubt whether he will be much of an asset to us.

Told them he wouldn’t be signing another contract as he wanted to move back up north.

…could be that people are nervous around that, as Oldham fans are.

    I feel for Oldham fans.
Prem to National League in 27 years.
Founder members of the Premier League too.
The very best of luck to them!

I’ve only ever been to one Premier League game and that was Oldham v Everton, I was going to watch us at Chester but got held up at Haltwhistle for 90 minutes because of roadworks and traffic lights not in sync, Neil Pointon played for Oldham and Peter Beagrie played for Everton that day.

Slightly off piste but the last two Premier League games me and Awaywego went to together we saw the first ever Premier League goal and Man Utd beat Ipswich 9-0, absolutely no bonus points for names of scorers in either.

One of the pointers towards a bad season has been when our principal close season signings have been made very late in the day. ‘Picking over the scraps’ is always undesirable. I’d rather spend wages getting 9 decentish players in than paying just as much to get a dozen losers.

The trouble is that all this has happened in rather too many close seasons under the current owner! Acting early – sorta like NOW – would show the kind of determination we shall be needing.
(This has tended to be echoed each January too, of course.)

We may well be able to assess the kind of campaign we are going to be facing by seeing how close the squad is to completion by the first day of training. If we arrive there four or five players short – then we can all be permitted a giant sigh and we’ll also know pretty early that season ticket sales will have been shocking.

It could get even worse if we hear those magic words ‘it is far too soon for the bigger clubs to know if they are going to be prepared to release our targeted players for loans.’

Unless we are talking about loanees who can be true game-changers – I don’t want to see any!

We won’t sign anyone for ages lesgeo, we are starting our annual summer hibernation period of absolute nothing barring the usual “buy a season ticket” “the restaurant will be open this Sunday” “come and join our summer holiday trading camps for under 13’s” and when they do start to talk about transfers it will be the usual “we don’t want to rush in, we want to make sure we bring the right players to the club” I expect the team to be formed fully in the last week running up to the new season when like you say the dregs are left!

If nothing changes and by that I mean Mr Swann is still running the Club then in 12 months we could be about to embark on a new adventure in the National League North.

Not could be, we 100% will be!

    97 appearances
    13 wins
    11 clean sheets
    176 goals conceded

That’s horrendous, time for a new keeper.
