Hopefully an Iron win and the added bonus of giving Dickman another reason to whinge and moan post match like he did at their place .. proper wuss packet wouldnt wanna be on a desert island with him.
They are pretty potent up front so reckon they will score against our sometimes sloppy defense so a tight 2-1 to Scunny would be my prediction.
Love to see Beck and or Charlton Ubu get a goal.
I’d be moaning a lot if I had the name Dickman !

You would think in the modern game you could hire a scout/statto/player recruitment type on a part time basis.

Is that a police interview room in the background ? What the dickens?!
I hear 1500 is here under cover
Yee haw…. love the old guard.
Keep up the good work.
Think Fansy also chose the half time music
Unbelievable Jeff !
In what strange times we live.
What the ?!
0-0 written all over it. A solid away point !
In the queue for his goatburger?

Our last two wins both came from a changed formation.
At least AB seems to be finally recognising the need to change things around a bit.
I must admit that I was rather puzzled by the return of Nicholson and playing Denton on the wrong side of the pitch – but we won and must, hopefully, stand a chance against Hereford.
AB making adjustments has encouraged me somewhat. Was Denton right back as their left winger cut inside quite a lot? I thought he was a decent player and looked dangerous but then got subbed as I assume he tired. The Marine team looked very young.
What about Hereford? What colour is the boat shed?
The guy shouting at Butler at half time left the game during the break…. or at least moved, which was good as he was stood near a father and daughter who was under 10 and didn’t need to hear that kind of language. I agree with Fansy above in that society seems to revel in a bit of hate and chaos which isn’t good for anyone.

The first half was awful. The post match interview was a very awkward listen and Fair play to Olly for persisting. I want Andy to do well, I want the team to do well. I don’t think they’ve stopped playing for him but it was clear to see something isn’t right when you consider we have more quality and depth than other teams at this level. Yes you can argue that the quality isn’t great, but it’s still better than others in this league. The players didn’t look like they are enjoying their football, the subs during the half time break didn’t look like they were itching to get on. The body language speaks volumes. I really hope it changes. I went today with a friend who doesn’t watch Scunthorpe often, his comment at half time was he’s never seen such a poor game of football…. yet the crowds are a reasonable size and the team is not far off the top. Strange times

It’s awful. Only positive is that it’s not raining.
Great picture montage. Difficult to comprehend how 6500 people lost their lives building stadiums for the Qatar tournament, mind bending tragedy.

It’s an entertainment business. 5-4 wins will retain or grow the fanbase, 0-0 and 1-0 hoofball will see the crowds tumble.

Come home Sir Nigel. Walking is great

but if he wins the next 3 he could be December manager of the month !!
That ship has sailed I’m afraid. There has to be an experienced manager who knows this level inside who would want to come, surely ?

Hopefully a good match but talking about nullifying the opponent when playing at home doesn’t inspire confidence. I’m of the Kevin Keegan school of concentrating on what we can do and outscoring the opponent.

Thought this was going to be a story about a new signing, a hardman central midfield enforcer called Anderson who receives a lot of bookings
The problem with a new manager is that they invariably don’t rate the previous managers assembled players. The club cannot afford to terminate contracts so sacking a manager and dispensing of players won’t be an option.
And as poor as things are on the pitch at the moment, the club don’t want that reputation of simply hiring and firing, having no direction or strategy etc.
Kinda with Fansy on this one and just hope he turns it around as he learns his trade and promotion is back on the cards after the next 10 games.
Don’t even suggest it Rene
Great bants…. will he get Lawsy in as a motivator/advisor?!

George Doyle from Golcar United
A lot to agree with on this thread. Think we only need a couple of elder statesman in the spine. The rest should be young, hungry and fit to go. Bolstered by young loan signings a bit like the Buxton lad !
