I was trying to show faith 😏
The season tickets etc are sold by the club, the money would go into the club account.
Why would Swann want the club back IB?
He has the assets without the burden of the club bills.
Disposing of the club, stadium and surrounding land as one complete package will have meant an easier and cleaner exit for him. As things stand now, he either challenges Hilton over the sale or he bites the bullet and waits for the club to exit GP which will take years before he can do anything.
Of course but that was then and this is now. There’s no way he’s taking the club back on.
Didn’t notice the wording but I’m sure he did say he’d paid hmrc in full when he first took over.

If that does happen its nothing short of a disgrace.
There are also still unresolved issues like the 1899 club and where that leaves the 50 or so supporters who have handed over nearly £2k each, should the stadium still belong to Swann after 24 May.
They’ve been sold a membership with an option to buy a share in the ground. That share is the main selling point as far as fans are concerned but I wonder where they would stand legally as they haven’t actually been sold a share in the ground.
Some very good points made here lads.
Any left over tinned toms would also come in handy
Wonder what those who choose to make snide remarks about Sharp and Elliott’s wealth or lack of have done to help save the club recently?
I’d be amazed if its costs any of them the thick end of 200k.

how long before we end up playing there as well? with these issues with the ground, if that falls through…we’ll be homeless.
Ikleston and Scunthorpe United Town FC.
thats sad, good their trust can help out to that level – they must have some activities on the go.
Suppose as long as the communication is there and gets to as many fans as possible then it doesn’t matter if its twitter or not. Lets be honest there has been fuck all about anything.
Interesting that Patrick disappeared as quickly as he arrived, after a bit of gas lighting and talk of keyboard warriors.
Surely proof of funds is exactly that, or liquid assets.
I just don’t get the silence.
Rene Artois
I do not know other peoples financial status, but from experiences at Ilkeston and monies spent, with breathtaking improvements to the club and playing structures I think he has proved he is a winner… without doubt!
As for poor communication, we’ll its not is it?… replying, and responding to negative comments from a small percentage of fans, who you would not have heard a peep out of, if the team were likely to escape relaxation is not my idea of good communication.
As I said, let the doubters go to Ilkeston and ask independent fans about Mr Hiltons capability.. and not listen to keyboard warriors. You’re going off course here, probably on purpose.
There has been no response to reasonable questions which are nothing to do with team performance and nothing in regard to his plans for the club / ground / land.
This is a professional football club, regardless of the previous tenure teh fans expect and deserve to be properly communicated with. Not through Twitter.

The vast majority who are criticising are doing so because he’s ignoring simple questions including what his plans for the club are. If he wants a more constructive discussion perhaps he could do something to encourage that?
I’ve not come across any scunny fans that aren’t happy he’s saved the club but at best there is a huge communication issue here. We just want communication.
I’d happily pay this years prices if it was to watch a team competing to win the division.

It’s amazing how some people watch football all their lives but don’t really understand the game.

It’s ok, no worse than ifollow
it look like a life membership to a discount club, you don’t own anything other than that as it ends when you die it’s in the name lifetime ,Surely if you own Bricks and mortar you get to pass them onm or sell them. Also once time opportunity suggest it may get lonely in the bar in a few years, once the smell of lavender and urine expires.Last one out please ask where the shares went
“Lifetime 1899 Memberships are available to purchase via a one off payment with no annual fee or subscription and are also fully transferable”
Calm down Burny, decent delivery doesn’t make him a good winger, he’s a full back that’s not very good at defending.
doubt it, those paying for exce seating ain’t gonna be happy if the fan paying for std seating is allowed in there

Sure Grimsby was 2m. Obviously much less land there although there is a training pitch at another site included in that.
I think 1.25m is very reasonable, let’s not forget any new buyer will be taking on the 2m+ debt and most pertinently for me – he got the club and land for nowt and the only reason we are in this mess is his bad decision making.

I tend to agree with you WG, but on the same score we have no chance of being sold to anyone for 3.5m when the club is also at least 2m in debt. Save for one of us winning the lottery what idiot is going to pay that?
It would be a total waste of money and time, it would also damage the club if by some miracle it lives on – can it afford to lose 150 supporters? That’s just the ones on the pitch i imagine many others will fuck it off if these lads get prosecuted.
That said the police won’t investigate burglaries although usually have plenty resources to waste on persecuting football fans.
