I’m starting to worry!
I’m behind Hilton and I want it to work out but the… ‘trouble makers & rumour spreaders’ keep turning up good info… we’ve been told the deal for GP is done for weeks and it now appears that’s right!!
The 1899 club isn’t worth anything as we are planning to move ground??!! So was this actually the way Hilton had hoped to fund his purchase?? By fans essentially paying for it on his behalf??
The Fans forum was pencilled in for today and then we had 2 signings a day for the past 3 days in the build up to the meeting… the timing is unbelievable!
Looks like a deflection technique… if you think that way.I want Hilton to be the man who saves us and makes everything ok but I’m really worried he’s not.
Why can’t we just have a fully transparent owner with nothing to hide who genuinely wants to sort this out??

I absolutely prefer iron bru but if we are truthful the pods haven’t been regular!! Which is annoying!!!!
I like the fact the new pod is filmed, just my opinion.
I don’t like their laddish approach, ‘doing bits’ etc etc… these men are not in their 20’s but they seem to be trying desperately to be ‘on trend’.
They seem to know very little about football… the pod when we went down they constantly referred to NLN teams as builders and brick layers etc…
As if none of the lads at that level are any good… what an absolute disgrace!!
Plenty of players at the level are better than what we’ve had for years and years!

Pathetic second half where we’ve offered absolutely nothing going forwards.
I think I’m finally accepting we will turning out on the playing fields of many national league north clubs next season.

The local York Commentators have said this is the worst 45 minutes they’ve seen their team play and if they were playing anyone half decent they’d be losing…. Says absolutely everything!!

Jimmy looks out of his depth… I want to back him but he keeps giving me reasons not too!!!
If he takes us down the minimum requirement will be league winners next year and that WONT make him a great manager it’ll simply address the disgrace that is this season.
He’ll only be considered worthy of great recognition if he gets this club into the play offs or automatics in this league and potentially leads us back to the football league.
I think there were better options available including Nelson but it is what it is.

Like I said Steve, there’s been 51 points to play for (start to finish) since Jimmy took over and unbelievable backing of the new manager so let’s see how the final part of the season plays out.
I’d love him to turn it around, his passion is great!
However…
We looked to be turning the corner under Nelson with good football being played, I’m not sure I’d say the last 6 games have given the fans the same optimism???17 games to turn it around IS a realistic chance for a new manager especially backed so brilliantly!

If he is in charge until the end of the season then, Including the Barnet game, Jimmy has been in charge (PICKING THE TEAM) for 17 games out of 46
Half of 46 is 23, so when I said he’s got just shy of half the seasons fixtures left I wasn’t wrong!!!!
Before he arrived we were top 10 in the form league!!
Nelson had just taken 7 points from 4 games if memory serves me right.
Jimmy has 4 points from 6 played so far.If we are being fair…
What has Jimmy had that those before have not??(1)A budget to bring players in
(2)A chance to work with a competitive squad
(3)A stadium packed with accepting/supportive fans
(4)Little expectancy or pressure – apparently we’re already down… idiots!
(5)zero outside negative noise!!So far he’s proving to be the wrong choice and potentially he will have to accept his part in the relegation…. It wasn’t done and dusted before he arrived!!
It was crap!!! Of course it was!!! It was the lowest point in our history.But he’s been playing with a much better deck of cards than those before him!
17 games provided a maximum return of 51 points… he’s on track for under 10.
I’m sorry, but he’s got to start doing better or you lot need to accept that he’s the problem and needs to go before next season.

He massively messed up the Barnet home game with his team selection thinking he knew best…. He didn’t!!
He’s now having to massively back track and make amends with Butterfield who is clearly above this level.
Knowing you’ve F**ked up and learning from it is a good thing so credit to him for that.
Personally I don’t think he’s the answer and I think he’s the first mistake the chairman has made.
Nelson was working with absolutely nothing and for the first time in years we got the ball down and outplayed teams…. What could he have done with the opportunity to bring more players in and have a competitive squad??Dean has got just shy of half the seasons fixtures to play with a much improved squad, he’s also got an atmosphere and fan backing (thanks to the new owner) not seen at glanny park for years!!
The reality is if we don’t pick up and potentially stay up then he’s failed.
It’s nonsense to suggest we are already down and if he keeps us up it’s a miracle… look at the backing he’s had on and off the pitch… that just doesn’t happen normally.

Lots of winnable fixtures left so let’s not condemn this squad to the NLN until the maths tell us it’s over.
The squad is much better, we have options and competition.
Elliot has proved he can score goals in this league… he didn’t play yesterday so for someone to say ‘there’s a reason BW let Elliot go’ is ridiculous.I had to have a word with myself after the Barnet game, I’ll tell you lot what I told myself… Get behind the team and stop the negativity!

So Jimmy gets his first maximum, thank god he saw sense and got Butterfield back in the team!!
Anyway with 15 left to play, this is how I hope it goes…
(1)Wrexham away – they are unbeaten at home and have the best home record in the league.
Verdict = Lose 0 points(2) Boreham Wood away – their home record is 17th in the league with most games drawn.
Verdict = Draw 1 point(3) Maidstone away – worst home form
In the league and second bottom of the form table.
Verdict = Win (Must win) 3 points(4) Eastleigh at home – their away record is 17th in the league 3 wins, 3 draws and 9 defeats!
Verdict = win 3 points(5) Altrincham at home – Their away record is 18th with only 2 wins.
Verdict = Win 3 points(6) York away – 3rd bottom for home form in the league with 4W/4D/7L.
Verdict = Win 3 points(7) Solihull away – 16th in the home form
Table 5W/5D/6L.
Verdict = Draw 1 point(8) Wealdstone at home – 10th in the league for away form and 9th on current form (last 6 games).
Verdict = Draw 1 point(9) Notts County away – Top of the form table and unbeaten at home.
Verdict = Defeat 0 points(10) Torquay at home – They are 19th in the league for away from only 3 wins and 2 draws with 9 defeats.

The issue is the extra 2,000 fans (not seen at GP for about 4 years) probably won’t be rushing back after that performance.
It was lazy and unprofessional, just slamming the ball up front isn’t good enough!
Dropping the best footballer in the squad to the bench and then ignoring him is almost unforgivable .
Jimmy Dean may well have a good record at low (low) levels in football but he’s at a level he probably wouldn’t normally get a chance at (if we were not such a car crash after Swann) he’s not got the luxury of time!!!! He needs to sort this out asap!

Looking forward to the post match interview….. oh wait…. I forgot BBC radio humberside don’t really care about SUFC and have given up on waiting for his post match despite saying they would bring it to the fans after the game!!!
