If the support is vocal it should be directed towards the team & players on the pitch. Cox questioned their passion last Saturday, having the fans encourage them for the full 90 might remind them what they’re playing for.

I fully understand & admire the idea that a football club should be self-sufficient but until SUFC can get to the point of being competitive & self-sufficient then as chairman, I expect Peter Swann should put his money in and bridge the gap.
Hopefully this development work does go ahead and our income increases alongside it.
What he does in January will answer a lot of questions for me.
Few things I can’t understand –
Why was Beestin on the left wing?
After Jarvis was taken off and replaced by Hallam, why did we then get the ball out wide and put loads of crosses in?
@iron_stats tweeted something along the lines of we’ve not won the last 46 games after going 1-0 down. Yes, his hands are fairly tied but that for me is down to the manager, he doesn’t react or change things quick enough. Why can’t he be more positive or take more risks?
Perry sits in the middle of the pitch and goes no further, if we’re losing, get him off and bring an attacker on.
“Also as per the official statement on the clubs website there’s an agreement that the club is protected for 99 years at least.“
Yes – this club, ‘Scunthorpe United’ have the right to play at Glanford Park for the next 99 years but IF the club ceases to exist, the agreement is irrelevant?

None of us are asking Mr Swann to spend silly money, which we all enjoyed in the first few years of his tenure but we just want him to accept he’s not doing a good job & to do something that shows that he cares about the club.
If he’s running it at break-even and not prepared to invest any money, then what is the point of him being here?
I would like to get his views on attendances, the squad & the real risk of relegation and whether he accepts that he is responsible for all 3. No more harping back to the League 1 play-off seasons, it’s all about now and it’s a disaster.
Radio Humberside are normally pretty good at finding him, maybe Mike White could give him a call.

They had more energy & desire than I’ve seen all season from our lot.
Every time they won the ball, regardless of where they were on the pitch, they had numerous players sprinting forward, with purpose, to join in the attack.
We win the ball & I don’t see 1 forward run or anyone looking interested in wanting to score a goal.
Lack of fitness, motivation, desire, energy, willingness, confidence, skill? All of the above, probably, except that you don’t need to be skilful to run.
Watson – 5 – Made a couple of decent saves at 0-0.
Thompson – 6 – One of the very few who didn’t give up, constantly up and down the wing.
Taft – 4 – Doesn’t look as commanding as last season before his injury.
Davies – 3 – Awful.
Rowe – 3 – Never in the right place, put in a great tackle 1st half.
Millen – 2 – Please don’t play again.Perry – 4 – Ineffective.
Wood – 4 – Ineffective.
Hackney – 4 – Ineffective.Bunn – 6 – Good on the ball but no-one to pass to, or no-one getting on the end of his crosses. Not his fault.
Scrimshaw – 5 – Ran around all game but miss-hit his only 2 chances.Dreadful.
It was nice to hear some genuine positivity for the first time in a while.
Just hope the form continues and the September editions are just as positive.
Staffy seemed confident that the 50:50 would be here for Swindon game but wasn’t sure if he’d be given a card reader or accepting cash!
I thought number 4 was Perry, which according to the teamsheet was trialist A.
If he was the number 8, he did okay except for trying to scoop pass twice in about 5 minutes.

No 16 who came in at half time on the left wing was Nick Clayton-Phillips, 21 year old released from West Brom, I was impressed.
We do look very light up front though.
If we signed 1 (or both) of the CM trialists, the left winger & then a couple of loanees (1 being a striker) then I’d be happy.

Bunn did look good. I’d be offering him a contract tomorrow I think.
The trialist striker looked pretty young but I was fairly impressed that he kept on the shoulder of defenders and made runs beyond them. So many times last season we just had players standing still, wanting the ball to their feet. I’d give him another game at the weekend but feel like he’d be a decent squad player as opposed to starting every week.
Pugh impressed me with his work rate, especially in this heat!
Manny was solid and will be a massive fans favourite if he stays fit, I really hope so.
Main worry is upfront, Loft looked lively but such poor finishing in both halves.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised.
Now very worried…

Loft has had a total of 2 shots on target in the last 5 matches, it really is poor how bad our attacking play is.
Bored bored bored.
It was mentioned in the meeting between the club and supporters groups. Obviously Max Bell has tweeted details about it too.
It is currently the board’s plan for the club’s land to be assigned to its parent company, to attract a loan funding the wider development.
The writing off of existing £11m+ loans is implied, but the club would no longer own its own ground and instead pay rent to Coolsilk. pic.twitter.com/6vb2Hscd3m

Another shocker from him today.
BS – 5 for Taylor?? Very harsh, he set up the 2nd goal and was involved in most the attacking play. Also didn’t stop running.
Howard: 7 – good penalty save and caught a few dangerous crosses.
O’Malley: 7 – Good defending but also like the fact he gets involved going forward.
Bedeau: 7 – Was busy all night and did pretty well.
Cordner: 7 – Much better from him, decent passing too.
Clarke: 7 – Put in a great tackle to prevent a goal.Beestin: 8 – Always in the right place at the right time. Kept it simple, won the ball and passed forward to start the counter attack.
Taylor: 7 – Carried us up the pitch at times, got an assist and never stopped running.
Gilliead: 7 – He’s a workhorse and CM is arguably better suited to him than right wing.Hippolyte: 6 – Thought he could have done better for their goal. Decent finish for ours but room for improvement in general.
Loft: 6 – Fair play for continuing through the pain barrier, did okay but nothing spectacular. Not sure why he smashed in to the keeper either.
Green: 6 – Bags of pace and looks dangerous at times. Needs to improve his end product.Watson – 5
Howard – 6
O Malley – 6.5
Brown – 6
Clarke – 6
Bedeau – 5
Cordner – 4.5
Onariase – 7
Hornshaw – 4.5
Vincent – 5.5
Taylor – 5.5
Hallam – 5.5
Turan – 4
Jarvis – 4.5
Loft – 4
McAtee – 4
KVV – 7
Eisa – 5.5
Gilliead – 7
Hippolyte – 4.5
Spence – 7
Beestin – 7
Green – 6
Rowe – 6.5
McGahey – 7
Butroid – 4.5Disappointing – Butroid, Eisa, McAtee, Bedeau, Turan, Loft, Jarvis, Hippolyte.
Impressed – Beestin, Spence, Clarke, McGahey, Onariase, Rowe, O’Malley.
Gilliead in the main has done well, however he’s been fairly non-existent in the last few games.
BS – No one is claiming there is racism in F1 or even in football grounds. The sportsmen are simply using their position of influence to highlight the need for racial equality in all aspects of day-to-day life.
“fifty-pence, why should non beleivers in anything come out and look at these things that have no interest to them.”
Well, if you’re a ‘non believer’ in this situation, you’re simply a racist.
How can anyone support or justify booing an anti-racism gesture?
I’d be horrified and distraught if anyone did this to our players.
You only have to read the comments from the Millwall players to realise how badly it’s affected them.
