Good Interview from their manager.
Can’t say I’m too disappointed today. Just went to show once again how glaringly obvious how lightweight our midfield is. As CB stated and shown in the past a physical team will do a job on us.
I personally think we are far too predictable and was on show today that there management team had played their hand perfectly for a cracking point and nearly three.Countless time folk were begging for forward passage than sideways or even backwards. Think it was first half beestin if I remember rightly had a good run left centre for him instead of having a crack to go left for it to die out.

That was our worst home performance of the season by 100 miles, apart from a couple of good saves and a melee in their six yard box how they somehow kept us out we were pathetic, even Callum was out of touch today, then play the latter stages without a striker says it all, be fair to Radcliffe they didn’t look like a team at the bottom end, and the only plus was Fitzsimmons penalty save
Was it the worst performance though? We didn’t have the guile to beat them by a long way.
We created very little due to them muscling us of the ball.
The turned up with task in hand and tbh dispatched it perfectly.1 user thanked author for this post.
Can’t grumble about today tbh. They were the better team.
Could pass the ball to the same team which is a starter and easily nullified our front two.
Whitehall would have been sent off today so best he wasn’t playing.Carlton and Fishburn sorry but I really don’t see them making the grade. Headless
‘Sharpen the passing’ This will be a topic for the season

Out fought & Out thought
Iron couldn’t handle there physicality.
Well done Scunny flipin typical not being able to make it tonight.
Hopefully follow up on Saturday.
Tops sounded more impressed than Saturday

Nicholson he’s worthy of giving a goal away a game tbh.
Are we looking anyway nearer champs this season than last season?
For me not a chance tbh.

Obviously nobody does listen to the Bru but it was pretty evident that we were set up more attack minded focus for the evening even if it took 45 mins to shake the slow play off our backs.
All I go for is some endeavour and excitement and 2nd half showed that it’s possible.Low crowd seeing as though it was half term. Maybe some on there jollies.
1st half was poor. Lots of sideways and backwards passing.
Nicholson passing was woeful at times glad Fitz was sharp on one occasion.
Goal couldn’t really tell who had scored tbh.2nd half was much better playing with pace and a attacking mindset which is what we are all craving.
Plenty of chances too.See AB it can be done just be a bit more adventurous!
If we are not set up to give these a good pasting and follow through with a good score line then I’ll sit and go back to picking a choosing games I attend.
Totally getting cheesed off watching dull non entertaining football. Same with England so dull to watch.

Frightened of losing
Frightened of attacking. We’ll struggle to attack.Brings us a more defensive approach.
Not been for a while due to work commitments.
I do hope I’m coming away on Tuesday night thinking that’s more like it.2-1 Iron
3,911Good point I suppose but it sounded awful esque of the displays so far this season.
Torpey didn’t sound too excited by the display. Sounded as dull as dishwater.
Maybe some feedback on those that went may explain.Yep had a listen. Nothing new
Good idea, I did the Porto tour just recently £15 with museum and ground tour, museum was amazing and the tour of the stadium sitting in Presidents box, and the manager dugout, chance for picture with Champions League/Europa League trophy. Scunny could do similar, just swap out CL for Lincolnshire Cup,

Which port house tasting was the best in Gaia?Is the Pep way stale? Lots of goals, some of the best players in world football playing for City, ah yes they don’t wear a red kit kit and talk in a silly Scouse accent, just remembered in time.
No by far from stale and he’s always had the best teams/money at his call which helps.
But I don’t want to see it tried/tested by inferior teams/players. Just think football is more engineered now than actually seeing a flowing game.
If we was to witness a slightly more direct of play than the sideways stuff we do maybe the games would be more exciting. AB seems to be more wanting possession based games than actually going out and giving someone a good hiding. Saying that we were all thinking at some point the team will click and do exactly that but!!
Fingers crossed they prove me wrong Saturday,Yep not watch England for a while neither as its boring watch. Similar to Scunny ATM
Not sure whether it’s me or not but football has become stale. Why is every manager want to play the Pep way?
I go to the match to be entertained, same as if I go out for a nice meal I want good food.
If the requirements aren’t met then I lose interest. Find it difficult to watch players/team keeping possession for the match for the ball barely to go over the halfway line. Sideways and backwards drives me crazy. The need for goalmouth action is a must.I really hope AB shakes things up a bit and we start to play a better brand of football but I have my doubts especially with what is on offer.
Michelle stated we needed to get of this league this season, I just hope this next two months we don’t start to lag behind because attendances and the feel good factor will drop off and cause damage.I hope for the souls that go to Chester on Saturday come home with some good news and 3 points. But
The position I’d be strengthening is in midfield.
Dixon from Warrington. Hard to knock off the ball, great feet for a 6ft plusI’ve seen fishburn tbh he doesn’t look upto much. Carlton rough diamond but not sure who will show him the way.
And then it leaves Whitehall.
If he cut his bloody Antics out he’d quite possibly get a move to a higher club.
But as someone wrote a fox in the box! Hmm would be great.
My opinion we needed two in before Chester to shake it up a bit and make a few ears prick up.Ah.’If we win home games.’
Yes. There’s the rub.Well yes it is which was my point about players missing nailed on chances they should bury with their eyes shut, not Butlers fault whatever the brand of football produced on the day.
The Brand of football has been the same has it not? And that’s down to the management.
Players missing nailed on chance’s think that may go with territory of only plying there trade in this league.
Same as the passing.
But either way they shouldn’t be missing sitters as you stated.
Wasn’t at the game and don’t see all games.Love the Iron but I find it difficult to go to games and watch absolute dross.
For sure fans including myself will not go if this lack of entertainment continues.Didn’t last long. Was this the chap from HKR?
Joking aside I do hope this topic doesn’t gather pace because the effort that many have put into the club don’t deserve another season missing out.
So Come on AB lets get those wheels straightened.
Anyway see how they get on today. A win and top performance would be great to set up a big game next week.
Only if we arrange a friendly!
Apologies for that but you could be quite right organize a friendly with some new faces would be a start and plan B formation.

Hands up if they would rather see a striker and a nasty midfielder instead of contract extensions so early in the tenure.

That made me chuckle
Not there today but too be honest I’ve not been convinced. Some kept stating when we play well someone is going to get a pasting.
Don’t think we are good at all.2 users thanked author for this post.
I thought we should be looking more short term as in making sure we are go up.
Which looking at things the squad needs an extra body or two?
As you state it shouldn’t reduce the playing budget but as we can all see we are short.
Anyway see how they get on today. A win and top performance would be great to set up a big game next week.
Yes indeed a strange timing for a new contract/extension, lets hope the results don’t continue in the same vein as the last two games. Or else things will be rather sticky.
Just need to trust the board as they have done a decent job so far.Surely using that contract money on the playing side would have been more advantageous? As many have stated a striker would have been more beneficial than a contract extension.
Take ETH at MU getting an extension in summer for them just to be absolutely DS this season.
Do wonder why mediocrity gets rewarded in todays life. The wheels are still buckled yet to be straightened.
Stated a while back that Dixon was it? that ran the Warrington midfield for the majority of the game would give us something different.
We need a bully in there someone difficult to knock off the ball whilst the others lightweights feed of him.2 users thanked author for this post.
