Point.
Nothing to see.
Move on.I think Rene is allowed a day off after that first post, his brain must really hurt, lol.
If only he’d take one……
“We are what we repeatedly do“
Aristotle.Real Murcia 1-0 Hercules
Att: 23,000 (4,000 Herculeans)Quite a few Murcians were ejected from the stadium due to their naughtiness… lol.
There were a number of pre-game fracas in the city.We now occupy the last play off place (5th) whilst they go 2nd.
They had a good FA Cup run, reaching the 2nd Round.
A contentious ’offside’ kept the score at 2-1 to Stockport before the EFL team extended the margin to 3-1 in the 86th minute.1-1
Take Roberts & Whitehall out of this team and we’d be in the bottom half of the table.
15th of the season.FFS!
5 bloody minutes!We’re 45 minutes & 45 miles down the coast tonight.
Chorley (8th) v Scunny (4th)
They are 5 pts behind us but with 2 games in hand.
They’ll be looking to throw everything at us today in order to reduce the points deficit and to compound their ‘advantage’.
They failed to score in 3 of their last 5 and in 4 of their last 6 games.
W5 D1 L4 of their last 10 across all competitions.
They are P12 W7 D3 L2 GF19 GA12 GD+7 at home in league games. We’ve failed to score in 3 of our last eight games and have only lost once in that period.
We are P13 W7 D2 L4 GF17 GA10 GD+7 in the league away from home.I’ll go with two:
0-0 @ 5/1
1-1 @ 7/1The shortest priced positive result is 0-1 @ 13/2
Good luck to the debutants.
[1-0 to them is 7/1]
I think it’s anyone’s Championship to win / lose … as we all know, there is no consistency in this league.
Friday 17th Jan
Kidderminster 5/2
Curzon Ashton 5/2
Scunthorpe 5/1Kings Lynn 11/1
Brackley 12/1
Chester 12/1
Chorley 16/13 horse race?
No, no names for him. He’s a young lad who needs looking after. Peterborough have a good academy and hopefully he does well with us and we further his learning & development.
Aye if it’s a 3 man squad
FAF.
Be gentle with him.
He turns 19 in March.
It seems his preferred position is CB.Him or Fitz for PoS.
These were great.
The week that will define our destiny.
Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday home games worth a massive 9 points v Brackley, South Shields and Market Needham all winnable.
When you have aspirations of promotion and lose to teams in the bottom four after being ahead, you need to pick up a result v Chorley to make amends.
Then win those three home games no ifs no buts, that will be pay back for the disastrous November/December with three 0-0 draws, defeat v Buxton and Warrington Rylands.
Brackley – away win
South Shields – home win
Needham – draw4 points.
We’ve drawn half of our games at home. Joint most home games drawn along with Spennymoor.
Brackley are v good away.
South Shields tend to lose.
Needham are a bit hit, miss or maybe and we could win, lose or draw.A trident that could sink our dreams:
11 Mar Alfreton Town A
15 Mar Farsley Celtic A
18 Mar Kidderminster Harriers AHuddersfield lad who supports Huddersfield Town.
Was there no one from Scunthorpe who supports Scunthorpe United to fill the position?
I’m not taking the piss here… how about sending him out on loan?
A short spell elsewhere, where the pressure isn’t so focused on him, might see him bang 4 or 5 goals in and set him up for a quick return full of confidence?

No reserve team in which he can sharpen up, bag a few and build his confidence.
The delights of being skint in the NLN – we’ve a lot to thank Swannster & WHAMster for… not.
Frugality is the order of the day.
No point chasing unicorns, live within our means. And, if that means a decade of NLN / NL football… then so be it.
Carry on, carrying on Michelle & her merry men. It’s all quiet on the Western (ok, NW of Lincolnshire) Front.
In reference to any new arrivals.
Due to Swann & Hilton’s tenures – maybe the sceptical amongst us should form a Mistrust? lol
Regards to Beck – let’s see how many he ends the season on.
21 games remaining.
What psychology qualifications do they have?
How long have they been practicing?‘players can benefit from mental coaching’
‘frequent pops at our own striker’
Remind me who our Sports Psychologist is… he/she ain’t listed on the staff list.
If memory serves, we didn’t even have anyone in that role whilst we were in the Championship?
Ok, you/we could bring an outside person in to work with the players or send them off site to the psychologist. However, those guys don’t come cheap.
To keep costs down, If you identify specific individuals whom need ‘mental help’ then that may affect their confidence even further and isolate them from the other players.
We’ve struggled this season to relay/reseed the pitch, let alone rewire someone’s brain!
‘Striker’ – more non striker at the moment.
I said right from the day his signing was announced that he wasn’t for me – nothings changed.

So you’re saying 31 year old players don’t need coaching Rene? You must have a screw loose. How do you think strikers recover from periods of bad performance? Sit around on their X Box all day hoping the spark will return by osmosis? Potty.
‘He’s passed his use by date.’
He hasn’t. You just like the way it looks when you type it.
At 31, he is what he is. You can’t change him. 28 is deemed to be a players ‘peak’.
Banjo will have most likely being training since he was about 6 years old – so he’s had 25 years of coaching, drills, s&c work, development plans etc… do you think he’ll metamorphosise in to a Golden Boot winner with 4 months (Feb-May) of ‘coaching’ from our novice manager?I’ll agree he was supposed to hit the ground running
It hasn’t happened yet but could do if they coach it in to him
He’s a 31 (2/feb/25) year old semi-pro… not an U11.
He’s passed his use by date.
