    Scunthorpe United.
    Unity not division.
    He is what he is.
    We are what we are.
    We are where we are.
    We are skint.
We are top of the league.
    Stick with what we’ve got.
See out his contract – then perhaps have a change?
    Give Jimbob a break.
I’d have stuck with Admiral Nelson.
    But… that ship sailed.
    Support Jimbob… Support SUFC.

Are The Spartans scared to face us?
I thought they feared no one?

    I’m mixing my rivers up, aren’t I?
It’s the lads from the banks of the River Blyth not the Evrota River.

Oh well, let’s have a chuckle at Chorley on the weekend.

We used to send the U18s to these games.
    It’s a game we don’t need.
Hopefully we’ll be sensible enough to lose it 1-0.

    £70,000

Philip Haslam (club accountant) received 21 months in jail.

Ian Daniels (club official) was handed two years in the big house.

    A good article.
Haslam (aged 23 at the time) had spiralling gambling debts:

    Chesterfield 6th season.

    Previously:
    Wrexham 15 seasons.
    Notts County 4 seasons.
    Stockport 11 seasons.
    Grimsby 1 season.

An average of nearly 8 seasons in the National League system before returning to the EFL for the above four clubs.

WHAM currently top the singles chart with ‘Last Christmas’.

BAND AID are down in 16th place with ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’

    Who’ll have the Christmas No1?

Last Christmas, we were a broken, bankrupt club with no hope and no future.

This Christmas will see us go in to 2024 on the crest of a wave.

A very merry Christmas and all the very best wishes to our Queen Guinevere and her Knights of the Round Table for 2024.

    Hip, hip!

    I’ve an ear worm…

It’s Christmas time, we had a reason to be afraid.
We let in Dave and said choi to Swann.
In our world that was empty, we were denied the cheer and joy.
Throw your arms around our Club, this time of year.

But say a prayer, pray for the golden one.
At Christmas time, she’s working hard, no time for fun.
There’s a world outside her window, it’s full of fear and dread.
Where the only thoughts flowing, are the monsters in her head.

Do we know it’s Christmas time at all?
    Feed the Club.
Let’s believe in Christmas once again!

What’s the length of his contract?
Is he on a rolling 12 month contract or a two year contract from his appointment?
I think we will have him at the tiller until his contract expires.

Sometimes you are better with the devil you know.

Handovers are extremely difficult and very costly.

When did the USA men’s 4 x 100m team last strike gold at the olympics?

You may be surprised that it was way back in 2000!

A silver, 3 DSQs (1 for doping) and a DNQ from the last five Olympic Games.

Handovers are tricky in athletics and are just as common and disastrous in football.

Sack, Appoint, Clear-out of ‘crap’ players, new players signed on 2 or 3 year contracts – honeymoon over, team struggles, sack manager, appoint new manager…

    Rinse & Repeat.

Do we have money to burn?

From a legal eagle / eager beaver site:

    “Is doxing illegal?

Dependent on the circumstances , doxing may constitute an offence under a number of UK laws. It can amount to harassment, malicious communications, computer misuse offences, data protection. It may also include blackmail and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, if the consequences cause “psychological harm that involves more than mere emotions such as fear, distress or panic”.

Five games since their last home win – losing 2 and drawing 2 of the other four games.

We are averaging 1.5 points a game away from home.

A win on Tuesday would take our rolling average points total over five games to two points per game.

A draw will maintain the 1.5 points per game.

    21/10 a Blyth win.
    24/10 a Draw.
    Evens a Scunthorpe win.

They have a plus one goal difference over their last five home games.

We have a plus two goal difference over our last five away games.

I’m going to tip a draw.

    1-1 @ 5/1
    0-0 @ 10/1
    2-2 @ 12/1

    Head says 1-1
    Gut says 2-2
    Heart says 1-2 @ 15/2

    Interesting.

The teams currently occupying 24th & 23rd place in the National League are the two teams promoted from last seasons NLN – Flyde (24), Kidderminster (23)

The teams sitting in 22nd & 21st place are the two teams promoted from the NLS – Oxford (22), Ebbsfleet (21)

It’s obvious that our Queen has a massive off & ON the pitch job on her hands!
We should remain supportive and thankful that we still have our club and our ground.
Let’s not forget that WHAM almost killed the club!

Chairwoman just been on radio said dodgy d never paid any bills.

Well knock me down with a feather , who would of thought DH could of been lying ??? again .. suppose now GP is safe and both Swan and Hilts are out the picture the folks in charge whom i might ad actually have the clubs best interests at heart may start to reveal a few more details and this DH didnt pay BOMBSHELL 555555 shock is only the first.

Hoping the next Atheltic article isnt to long away …what you say Itonironiron ??? any comment ??

I think it was glaringly obvious he didn’t pay most bills. I never once said he did. What I do know he paid is HMRC until July (left £120k debt according to hmrc statements from Sept) and wages until and including August, he obviously paid some bills otherwise how did players eat, how did phones and internet stay on, how did the grass grow, how did players get to away games on VIP busses, how did we attract the calibre of player without paying agents. If you add up what we know was paid and what I have evidence of then it’s clear he lost money. Thats all I’ve ever said, he did not make money on our club. But he clearly didn’t act correctly and was a terrible terrible chairman.
Whilst Michelle has worked wonders my concern with her is she sounds a little thick, like words are planted in her mouth and she repeats without fully understanding what she is talking about. What happens when the hand outs stop, we can’t have begging buckets at turnstiles every game it’s embarrassing. What happens when this honeymoon period ends and people are fed up with dipping into their pockets? Especially if we don’t get promoted. I know for a fact the £500k wasn’t raised by directors so she’s already lying to us. The foundation put in the majority and Jane Laws charity.
We have a stadium yes which is great news and on the face of it Michelle is a real Gem but does she have the ability to take us forward long term or is she just riding the wave that inevitably dies. I also heard a big big rumour that is starting to circulate (not from
Hilton but somebody inside the club)
This is about Rob Waltham and the real reason he miraculously found £2.5m in a few weeks. Let’s see if that has any legs. But we are still in choppy waters trust me.

Another WHAM xmas number 1? Last Christmas I gave you all hope, but the very next day I didn’t pay.

“Happy Christmas, I made it up and bent it
Sent a note saying “I love sUfc”, I spent it
Now you know, what fools you’ve been
But if you’ve missed me now, I know I’d fool you again”

The disparity between the haves and have nots in football is alarming.

Last seasons least well supported team in NLN (Peterborough Sports) were watched by a mere 8,221 people in total over their 23 home games.

Swindon, who sit just outside the play offs in L2 are averaging 8,850 per game this season.

I know that a small percentage of transfer fees are collected and redistributed at lower levels – but, is it time that the big clubs in the premier league & championship paid a ‘football tax’ that is filtered down to non league clubs?

The funding could be ring fenced to be spent on infrastructure, facilities, equipment, utilities etc… not players wages.

As part of their PL viewing rights, Sky, BT and the like should make a much greater financial contribution to non league football.

After all, the pyramidion atop the Pyramid of Khufu (The Great Pyramid) only stood at 481ft due to the many levels below it.

You can’t have a Pyramidion (Premier League) without the lower levels!

Top flight have just signed a £6.7 Billion deal for the next 4 years!

Iron is the most abundant element, by mass, in the Earth. There’s more iron than other elements if you include the mass of iron nuclei from compounds or alloys, but by element (i.e. pure iron) it is minuscule compared to oxygen, carbon or silicon. The number of oxygen atoms dwarf iron, but is so much lighter, so iron has a lot more of mass percentage when it comes to the Earth’s mass distribution.

    Thanks Sid.
