Yes, we need to respect Radcliffe FC, their staff, players & supporters.
However, we have to respect our history, our owners and our long(ish) suffering fans.
We need to maximise the euphoria, confidence and belief that will be running through the club after Tuesday’s game.
Let’s try to emulate the two back to back games last season where we dispatched the opposition with six of the best.
If we want to win this league then we need to be ruthless and punish these part time outfits at every opportunity.
A 3-0 outcome should be the expected baseline from this joust. Anything less and we are accepting mundane mediocrity.
I’ve done 4-0, 5-0 and 5-1
Let’s hold high expectations and demand high standards from our squad & staff.
I guess it comes down to how much the staff & players want it… their desire and passion to be winners… to be champions! The 2023–24 season saw Radcliffe crowned champions of the Northern Premier League Premier Division, earning promotion to the National League North for the first time in the club’s history.
They’ve kept a clean sheet on just two occasions this season.
They’ve shipped 3 goals on 5 occasions this season.
Also shipping 2 goals five times.
They concede a lot of goals late in games (75+ mins)They are there for the taking and we should be able to better their most number of goals conceded this season (Spennymoor 4)
We should be looking at scoring 4, 5 or 6 against these.
Emley 0-3 Cleethorpes
Braithwaite came on in the 44th minute on Tuesday (29th Oct) night and bagged the Owls third goal in the 74th minute.Dave Beeby?
No idea of what I was about to post…
Maybe a visit to the Doctors is called for? With all this constant talk of being brave it feels like lots on here have signed up to the Neil Cox school of punditry.
On a separate note have the club announced the new CEO on the website?
Last season:
24 Oct Spennymoor Town 6 – 0
28 Oct Bishop’s Stortford 6 – 1I actually tipped the 6-1
I might do 6-1 again this Saturday.

I’ll stick my neck out and say we’ll finish at least 10 points clear of them.
I hope so.
Carlton looked a lot sharper.
Ubaezuounu had by far his best game for United, last night (although that’s not saying a lot as he hasn’t played much). He was fast and aggressive in intent and, for me, made a real difference up front.
Of Course Butler can turn it around he started off well enough and there’s no reason he can’t again it’s just doing it is the problem just stop with the over defensive system, started with Fishburn up top again like in the win against Rushall against dropping him on Saturday for Scale’s seemed to work well enough let’s hope he saw the same.
Attack is the best form of defence!
Ain’t it great when we stuff the oppo?
Consistency.
More of the same on Saturday!Have we woken up?
Odds as of Sunday 27th October 2024:
Could Kings Lynn be the surprise team?
Silently, they slip in to second place:
” I know we are under serious financial constraints and I understand why but prioritising a CEO over players I do not understand. ”
Haven’t we just spent the summer recruiting players?
So hardly prioritising a CEO is it?
We still have the spine of last year which failed us ,same pointless/pointing captain and ridiculous child up front . We cannot sack them and only have so much budget, thankfully a few overpaid players left .We could attempt to buy the league and fail like awaywego’s mate did and let the club rot.Summer recruitment provided 1 regular starter and, as you point out, we therefore have mainly last years first XI. If promotion is the aim (and we all hope it is) then do we have the players to achieve that, they didn’t last year. So it’s not hard to argue that additions are required to achieve that and we are told that funds are available, how many points will the CEO win us?
CEO… pretentious and aspirational and has no relevance to clubs outside of the premier league giants.
Operations Manager or Club Secretary sits better at our level.

Obviously I’m hoping for a convincing win.
However, I think it’ll be a draw.
Probably 1-1Home 1/3
Draw 3/1
Away 15/2Change of mind.
We will win 2-1 or 3-0
UTIHOWE about that!
Dec scores Gainsborough’s second in their 4-1 win at Clitheroe in the FA Trophy 1st Round.
They are loving the Cup games this season:
prioritising a CEO over players I do not understand. I hope it’s not Jim, sorry James, Rodwell – surely we learnt from that fiasco.
Rodders took us to the cleaners.
£5K a week… for what?
He soon hightailed it when Swann eventually cut the budgets.
For five years, SUFC was the land of milk & honey.1 user thanked author for this post.
Some right cranky b****rs on here ATM, chill out guys it’s a long season.
PMT: the fear of Promotion Missed Twice could be the reason?

How many goals have we scored directly from the long throw?
Hard to get an idea on the feeling amongst fans as it’s flat on here and it’s the Stuart Maw show over the road.
‘Over the road’… on Facebook?
