Another WHAM xmas number 1? Last Christmas I gave you all hope, but the very next day I didn’t pay.
“Happy Christmas, I made it up and bent it
Sent a note saying “I love sUfc”, I spent it
Now you know, what fools you’ve been
But if you’ve missed me now, I know I’d fool you again”1 user thanked author for this post.
WHAManory.
Today’s story is read by David. The disparity between the haves and have nots in football is alarming.
Last seasons least well supported team in NLN (Peterborough Sports) were watched by a mere 8,221 people in total over their 23 home games.
Swindon, who sit just outside the play offs in L2 are averaging 8,850 per game this season.
I know that a small percentage of transfer fees are collected and redistributed at lower levels – but, is it time that the big clubs in the premier league & championship paid a ‘football tax’ that is filtered down to non league clubs?
The funding could be ring fenced to be spent on infrastructure, facilities, equipment, utilities etc… not players wages.
As part of their PL viewing rights, Sky, BT and the like should make a much greater financial contribution to non league football.
After all, the pyramidion atop the Pyramid of Khufu (The Great Pyramid) only stood at 481ft due to the many levels below it.
You can’t have a Pyramidion (Premier League) without the lower levels!
Top flight have just signed a £6.7 Billion deal for the next 4 years!
The Citadel of Iron?

Enjoy!Iron is the most abundant element, by mass, in the Earth. There’s more iron than other elements if you include the mass of iron nuclei from compounds or alloys, but by element (i.e. pure iron) it is minuscule compared to oxygen, carbon or silicon. The number of oxygen atoms dwarf iron, but is so much lighter, so iron has a lot more of mass percentage when it comes to the Earth’s mass distribution.
Thanks Sid.
It was early and it was a heavy read on some physicsy/chemistryi site.
It went well beyond my limited O’ Level Physics & Chemistry.Believe that iron is only fourth most abundant element on earth. Hope that isn’t our finishing position
True… god knows what I read earlier – lol
I think that we all believe that it is now most definitely on!
When we return to the EFL, they should make our Queen Guinevere a Dame.
Queens, Dames… panto – luckily we’ve ditched the Clowns!
The feel good factor is back!

A difficult fixture.
They’ve only conceded 4 goals in 8 home games.
4 goals conceded in 720 minutes prior to today.

You reap what you sow.
The keeper could have just launched it to the Barnsley end of the pitch.
A total muppet. How’s Foster getting on at Hull?
New Show Ground.
A new future!Thursday 30th November 2023
Scunthorpe 4/5
Tamworth 7/4
South Shields 9/125/1 and bigger the rest.
A two horse race!
Can you see us being full time next season if we aren’t promoted at the end of this?
Do you think Michelle and co will hand over the ground for free at the end of their tenure to new owners Rene.
Is Swann giving it to them free.
I’d half forgive him if he transferred it in to a supporters group / trust / foundation name for free.
Is WHAM gracing Bru?
I’ve not dropped anchor in their waters for ages – are they still laughing their fins off at us or are they trawling elsewhere now?
Rance is still technically our player and hasn’t been paid off yet
Wow. Just add that to the list of unpaid bills!
Academy staff haven’t being paid redundancies yet either.
WHAM closed it in early August. You’d never keep 11 players on the pitch – they’d be constantly running off to deliver a takeaway or wash a car.
The biggest thing he’s brought in is the feel good factor, and yet people want to crucify him, Simon and Ian who lied to us when they told us they had bought the club when in reality they hadn’t photo included, are held in such high regard wtf comes to mind.
The feel good factor comes with a cost attached and as things stand it is clearly unsustainable as the club is unable to settle its liabilities as and when they become due. That’s not open for debate, it’s a fact.
Essentially you’re applauding a fantasist who has built a house on sand. You keep clapping but keep a safe distance.
So much for Hilton’s sustainable financial model!
Are we losing £100k a month now?
£1.2M (yearly loss) divide by 8 (directors) = £150K each per year.
Hopefully they’ll have us pretty near to breaking even now?
if that means walking away with all the season ticket money that’s a small price we can pay for him at least trying.
Would that be illegal?
Didn’t WHAM say that he wanted to leave a legacy for his children?
He should have invested in a Satnav for his trip along the road to Damascus… he took the wrong turn at the first junction.Did his time and paid the debt.
If anyone has committed theft are they forever branded a thief?##########################
When is a murderer not a murderer – when he/she’s served his/her time?
The victim/s remain murdered. Dead.
So, when is the 2nd article due to be published?
“Show me the not-Hilton alternative“

Well, we’re still here!
Yes WG, he has to sit the game out.
We do tread a thin line.
Sell / move on the higher wage earners? … but, if we are promoted, then we don’t want to be left with just any Tom, Dick & Harrys. What price a clear conscience, to do the morally correct thing, to adhere to the law, to be a shinning example to the pilgrims attending the temple of light known as Glanford Park.
Lest we forget!Pugh was MotM in their 3-1 victory over the Seadogs last night.
