Do they have a long throw?
Are the players on their bench submariners?
Will Neil Young’s boys be Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door?
Will the Malooka (Angels – Arabic meaning, apparently [?] ) open the door to Neil?
Plastic fantastic or Plastophobia? – what’s our record on artificial pitches this season?
Scoreless bore draw? Will see a hat-trick of 0-0 scorelines for both clubs.
I’m going to say it’ll be a dire 0-0
Will we be reviewing, analysing & reflecting; again?
We’ll work hard to make things better… blah, blah, blah!
The lack of form table:
Not enough fun in football.
Said Mr Coote (?)
Does rene not realise he’ll have various scouts looking at him, while we’ve got no money after signing another targetman ?
That’ll be Banjo Beck!
I hope a Donny, a Barnsley or a Rotherham give him a chance. He’s obviously far too smart for the level he’s playing at.
Hope we win, obviously.
Think it’ll either be a 1-0 can’t be arsed to Marine or a 0-3 if the boys put a shift in.Tonight’s results pretty much went our way and I’m happy that we are still in fourth place.
It’ll be interesting to see what we get on Saturday!
Will the boys put a shift in knowing that it’ll keep them in the mix or will it be a shit show to compound their apparent derision of Stan?
How far in to the doggy doo will the players slip in what may be their ‘quest’ to see Stan evicted from his office?
If the players are trying to the best of their abilities and dripping in blood, sweat and tears in the execution of their duties… and we still continue to slide down the table – well, then we are worse than any of us fear!
Is it Stan or is it ‘the boys’?
South Shields 7 Rushall 0 was an eye opener!
As I suspected, a sending off. It occurred very early in the game; the tenth minute.
Not a penny tonight.
It’s not very often you get a 7-0 draw… lol.
Worst ever prediction!
Have Curzon now slipped the field à la Tamworth.
Sadly Marine couldn’t grind out a draw at Alfreton. Other than that, not too bad a set of results for us.It Musk be love.
Madness. His two goals from Saturday and a belter for Rushall.
Gainsborough 2-1 Rushall … the goals
I believe Gainsborough’s cameraman was blown up the Trent and hasn’t being seen since… lol
Cheltenham Town Eh?
May as well buy the racecourse too.Tuesday 10th December 2024
7.45pm Alfreton Town v MarineOur last v our next opponents.
Marine are 3 games unbeaten which is their best run of the season.
Alfreton are 3 games without a win.Marine have only scored twice away from home in this, their debut season in NLN.
I’ll go with a 0-0 draw.
Short of quality at CB – Boyce is ok-ish, Evan’s ain’t too bad.
Depends on the Boards aspirations.
Content to consolidate (stagnate) and operate with Scrooge-like pecuniary policies… then carry on regardless with what we have.We don’t need to break the bank – but we do need better players.
As many have said before, we also need a couple of decent imposing CMs.

Alexander the GreatWe seem to be a camouflage of chameleons led by a (stubborn) donkey.

Lower Breck Match Report

Lower Breck are in the North West Counties League Premier Division. The short list is:
David White
David Hilton
David Anderson
David MellorsI wonder which one will be chosen?
WHAM
He wouldn’t get opportunities to score under our setup.
Scored 2, had 1 disallowed for ‘offside’, 1 cleared off the line and 1 that hit the post.
Lad had a good afternoon. The love fest continues:
FA Trophy Third Round
Gainsborough 2-1 Rushall Olympic
Declan Howe (12′) – Milan Lalkovic (62′)
Declan Howe (74′)Attendance: 401
Horrible day for football.
Theirs at the moment goes ahead.
KLT 2-0 BoroOxford, Warrington & Farsley are the only teams in NLN to change manager during 2024-25, so far.
Sam Cox at Oxford was picking up 0.67 pts per game – his replacement, Ross Jenkins is picking up 1.36 ppg.
Mark Beesley, Warrington 1.00 ppg – Paul Carden, successor, 1.08 ppg
Clayton Donaldson, Farsley 1.50 ppg – Pav Singh, successor, 0.70 ppg
Their last game in charge was on match day 8, 8 & 6 respectively.
So how far back would you strip it?
Technical Staff
Manager, GK Coach, Asst Mgr, PhysioOffice Staff
Club Secretary, Groundsman (x2), Treasurer/Accountant, Marketing ‘officer’, Media ‘officer’Would that be the bare bones needed?
Regarding P/T – I think Scales signed for 25/26, Beck signed for 25/26 and there might be others. How practical would it be to have a mix of F/T and P/T in the squad?
PT clause written in if we aren’t promoted?
Anyone think the Bored (sic) may just let the clock tick down and see where we are at the end of the season?
No promotion could well mean that we go part time and that we look to appoint a part time manager for next season?
To appoint a full time manager now and to have a ‘part time clause’ written in to a contract would surely make it more difficult to appoint the right man / woman?
Now that’s an idea… female head coach / manager?Under Stan:

A poor manager will keep on pressing ahead with a system that isn’t working for the players he has available. A great manager will find a system that works with the players he has available. Unfortunately for us, it seems that Butler is currently committed to playing the system that clearly is not working.
That was why Michael Nelson should have been left alone, but relegation was the aim so he had to go.
Nelson had just developed a system with what he had and he didn’t have much and sometimes less than he thought. Never mind all his travelling each day was the most organised we had been for several seasons.
Agreed, things were looking promising under the Admiral.
Keeping the current pairing and having a Director of Football with powers to overrule might be a possible way forward.
I’ve heard worse ideas.
Baldrick & Percy overseen by Mr Bean!
In fact, Baldrick & Percy would possibly make a better fist of it than Stan & Jack?

If the Board are ‘happy’ with the club becoming a perennial NLN team… then they’ll stick with him.
If they have any aspirations of promotion to the NL and then an eventual return to the EFL – then he has to go.
