Having just watched the National League game on BT I think we are in for a rude awakening without some significant investment.

My Dad remembers this game. There was a welding apprentice who was there at his first scunthorpe match and he saw him get carried away on a stretcher after been knocked out by a flying brick from a millwall fan I believe.
Trying to look for the small positives. My nearest game next season will be away at Torquay which should make for a nice weekend. I do keep having moments of giving up on Scunny but when it’s in your blood it’s impossible. Be far easier for me to support The Pirates (local rugby team) but it just doesn’t give me the same feeling.

We don’t even have a scoreboard at the moment so the likely hood of us assembling a squad of players is questionable.

What did Mike White say? Couldn’t bare to watch or listen to it. 72 years of history ruined by one man in 9 years. The worst thing is this was completely avoidable. What did the powers of be think would happen consistently getting rid of our best players and recruiting ones of a substandard quality. If he was in that much financial trouble why has he waited until now to step down and make the effort to find a suitable buyer it should have happened before it came to this.

Very strange line up and 3-0 already. Shows how weak this squad is. It will have no chance in the National League.
Any further news on this? Need something to cheer me up after the last 4 seasons!
With out significant investment and a major overhaul of players for next season we are in serious trouble. We can barely compete with any teams in this league and I suspect it will be the same in the national league with this current set up. I was so happy when Keith came in but have been left dejected. We have become as easy to beat as we were under Cox. All I can hope is that there is a master plan in place for the next phase of scunthorpe United but I’m not confident.

Again what is going on at out club? I think we deserve answers. Will Hill be next to go? Will the club even play another game after this season? Really worrying times that were totally avoidable.

I’ll be there. Wembley victory to a final day relegation at Bristol. Got to take the highs with the lows I guess. Might be the only time my little boy sees scunthorpe play in the league.

Is there actually any players we should keep for next season. It gets worse every week, losing 5-1 to a mid table team in a poor league 2 when fighting for your football league status is appalling. I think we need a complete clear out and reset. It all felt very promising when hill came in, now’s it’s following a familiar depressing pattern. If this squad of players can’t get 30 points in league two then achieving anything in the national league is a pipe dream.
Even with a big points deduction I still think they’d finish above us. We are utterly abysmal!
Not in his plans despite that fact he seems to have been played in nearly every match when fit and sometimes not fit. Very odd decision. I think now we are looking considerably weaker than at the start of the transfer window. At least I’ve got Torquay away to look forward to next year if we don’t go bust.
It’s like watching Cox’s team again

Just cancelled ifollow. Today in reality was last chance saloon and they blew it with that utter garbage in the second half. I can’t bare to watch anymore ruins my weekend. Not convinced the new forward line is in reality any better than loft and he was poor at best. Sad, sad days how spoilt we were in the adkins era.

Hoping it all clicks for the boys today and we get a nice 3-1 away win. Burns and Nutall on the scoresheet for a big boost of confidence. UTI
I wonder if we give away fans a free cup of tea or coffee like at Exeter?
Well done lads. Hard fought victory tonight!!!

Sounds like players not wanting to leave may be causing a problem also.

Maybe not announcing nutall until the last possible moment for tactical reasons 😂
Tickets booked. Expecting it to be very low on away numbers 😀

A great appointment for the current situation. I was excited about the idea of Adkins but could see it all going wrong, this is not the time to gamble. Hope this can steady the ship and give us a strong platform to build from.
Looks like it’s Hill. Betting suspended at Bet Victor
As an iron fan living in a foreign country, if I subscribe to the season ticket on ifollow do I get both home and away games? I used to just get the occasional game but see it has gone up to 11euros now.
With Jem playing for us I was wondering how many players who have played for scunthorpe have also played in the champions league.
Brilliant news! Any ideas on the un named striker?
I’ll be watching down in Cornwall. You never know when a win might pop up 😀
Do we think this will free up money for us to bring in some reinforcements? Also it took Hurst a long time to get us firing and if Holloway couldn’t make it work with that squad up the A180 I’m not sure Hurst will. either way we need a big win on Saturday! UTI
First game I’ve enjoyed in a long time. Everybody put a shift in and KVV’s quality shone through. To be fair Oldham were pretty terrible and if they had a better finisher it could have been a different story but I’m glad to get an excellent 3 points on the board.
Our keeper must think it’s like a manager of the month curse. He gets in the team of midweek then loses his place (long overdue).
