Was a talented player. Superb passing and movement off the ball. Did well for himself in the USA playing and then when his playing days ended very abruptly, career ending ankle injury.

The message was delivered and even through the walls left you in no doubt who it was said to.

    Pulled no punches.

Read Neil Cox’s post match in Scun Telegraph – not a happy bunny at all !!

Did hear this morning that outside the dressing room it was very plain only 1 persons voice was heard and it was not complimentary regarding the input of certain players efforts and attitude throughout the evening.

Bartonscorpion ! This is the last time I will answer such a stupid assumption of yours I never have wanted 1 up top, never liked 1 up top. I have repeatedly said 4 4 2 that means exactly that 4 4 2.

The line up indicated Loft and Hallam as 2 up top, it then went to a 1 and 1 – didn’t like it then or anytime in the future. It is more of a negative formation that sets up to deal with the opponent. As opposed to making opponents dealing with what we do.

Finally I would rather watch a team of battlers than witness some senior pro’s let down others who are working for the shirt.

Yes he is there. He actually greeted the players when they entered the pitch for warm up.

Nowhere in my comments have I said I like 1 up top ! That is why I advocate 442 – check back.

I don’t like team selection based on the opponents line up ! These says defensive attitude. What I did applaud was the efforts of the players who battled away to keep the lead – how is that endorsing 1 up top ?

A teenage black lad from inner-city London trying to find his way in north Lincs. needs consistency from someone with the talent to manage his.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get it here, and from age 16 he’s had about 9 managers in 8 years, most of whom were struggling themselves. Plus, some ‘fans’ were quick to get on his back when he did make a mistake.

Not good, especially in the early years – as any teacher knows.

Just turned 24, he still has great potential which McCann has evidently seen and can bring out at Hull.

West Ham let him go from their academy and they helped him move by cancelling his academy paperwork and we took it over.

You need to have a chat with his agent before blaming managerial changes.

No change here. Same people who give no latitude.

    Watson 10
everyone else 9 – why, they never quit. Never stopped helping each other, worked their socks of for the shirt. Last season we had seasoned pro’s who didn’t give a sod ! With them we would have lost yesterday.

Perhaps it wasn’t pretty, it was 3 pts. Issues I have is selections are made to deal with opponents. That is a worry for me.

My nephew is a Rotherham supporter and said haks was just beginning to show some real form before the shut down of the last season.
Hopefully if he gets a full season at hull he can rebuild his career and finally show the talent he undoubtedly has upto now we have only seen this talent occasionally

Sadly he still has the same agent !!

For me just like Josh Wright he moved a season too early, but it wasn’t down to him.

14 games since he left. What a waste, yes being earning the money but he always said “He just wanted to play”. Hope it works out.

Back to basics. As many as square pegs in square holes.
    LESS passing sidewards.
    4 4 2
That will be a good start.

We have a very inexperienced set of players we have to give the time. But I do expect them to work hard when out of possession.

Hornshaw is playing as a wingback 0r right back he is neither he is a Centre Mid. But this 3 across the back makes him a wingback and I do see some not getting involved.

No player should leave a job to someone else !

Said it so many times play our way, make opponents deal with us !
Again square pegs in round holes is a recipe for disaster and then 3 5 1 1 compounds it.

The goal not all Hornshaws fault as a lot seem to take delight at having a go at him. When you look at the footage. What was the CB doing then what was the left sided CB doing when the ball came across ?

4 4 2 and if we can’t win then do not lose.

Quite pessimistic this season. All the changes of personnel, concentrating more on bringing our own through make me quite reserved would have said 1st but I will go for 3rd !!

Well done. Last pre-season game out of the way. 6 changes from saturday and another formation used.

Sounds as though 90 minute fitness levels still not there but sounds as though a lot of positives.

A cup game – yes. But more of a pre-season fixture that is important for the season start.

Will be several changes as we all agree.

All wins are important in normal times. But this isn’t ‘normal’ – need to be ready for the 1st league game. That is when the word UNBEATEN has to be the aim.

But best to them for the next 2 games.
