Oh goody, another book review.
I wonder what he’s got written on his rainbow armband?
Firstly you can forget about the Admiral. He’s got a better job back here in the NE.
Secondly I’m with RB on this one. Michelle gambled on Butler back in the summer. He was already on the payroll, so was a cheap option. Maybe he was given a certain number of games to get us top of the table with the promise of a renegotiated contract? Just a guess, I have no idea really.
But he was part of the coaching staff under Dean, so in effect part of the problems we had last season. The appointment of Schofield now looks to have worsened the situation rather than improve it.
Add to this the fact that we have lost our kingpin in midfield and two other decent players in Elliot and Ogle and it’s probably not surprising that we now rely on Roberts’s goals and Fitzsimmons’s saves to earn us points.
Butler is looking like he was the wrong person for the job in the first place, but hey-ho! Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Butler losing the support of the fans doesn’t particularly bother me. It’s losing the support of the players that’s a concern.
If that’s true of course.

Hill & Dean had no previous links with the club.
Laws, Adkins & Alexander all did!
Not an exact science.
Wilcox n Cox also
I was just listing the successful ones IFA, although you could argue Wilcox was successful up to a point. Certainly Knill and Cox struggled and Butler is currently making a complete dog’s breakfast of it.
IMO our best managers have always been motivators. Don’t think we’ve had anyone who fits that description recently.

You need to buy a jar of Horlicks!
19 people? Wow! That really is unanimous.
We’re bound to be crap lining up with only 9 players!
What at least since the late 70s.
At least we were still a Football League team then!

Were there boos at the final whistle or had everyone fallen asleep?
Aye, doesn’t fill me with confidence.
We were like a pub team in a pub league playing on a rugby pitch! If we have any intention of getting out of this division we seriously need to up the ante.

“You are unbelievable”.
That’s a different band, dickhead.
Religion – the great scapegoat!
Had a very attractive wife if I’m not mistaken..
Yes, impressive video from Leamington. Must be Movember in full swing!
Weather forecast suggests that the Darlo game will be on. Conditions okay.
As they were for the original game last season!
Old news.
Job done!✔️

Another brace for him, so it’s a positive that he’ll be head-hunted in January.
Hang on a tick! Could this be 4-4-2?
IRON: Fitzsimons, Kouogun, Evans, Clunan, Beestin, Whitehall, Roberts, Brogan, Beck, Denton, Barrows.
IRON SUBS: Nicholson, Kelly, Rowley, Ubaezuonu, Scales.
Aye, we don’t win on Saturdays do we?
2-0 defeat.
The club have really showed their greed this season is beyond doubt.
You don’t have to shell out a penny if you don’t want to. It’s not some new form of taxation.

Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye, aye!
Happened across a YouTube video showing all of our 94 goals from the 2016/17 season (3rd in League One).
Bloody marvellous! Top scorer Morris with 20, but during the season we had the likes of Paddy Madden, KvV, Tom Hopper and Ivan Toney to call on.
Dreamland!
1 (one) point in the league and a Mickey Mouse Trophy defeat from a part time team a league below.
A defeat on the cards on Saturday.
Where do we go from here?
Is it down to the lake I fear?
Wonder if the French were uncomfortable with their weapons bombing British soil in the Falklands?
