Swap him for Teddy Howe.
Yes, enjoyed it.
As I said last year I saw him just before he died looking frail and confused.
Once got chatting to him in a curtain warehouse! When our respective wives were looking at blinds! As he said in the documentary he’d talk to anyone about anything.
Ten days without a game. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you think there’s “surely something to talk over” then why not start a discussion?
Nothing jumping out is there?

Brilliant! Good on the lad.
Rearranged for Tuesday 27th April at 18:30.
Good job for him he was shocking, if he’d been alert Dieng would have been sent off, not Clarke.
Aye! Unfortunately we end up with too many sick-boys!

Yes indeed Awaywego. It’s quite a conundrum.
We could get rid and end up with better, or we could end up with a complete spud!
Definitely. Always gave 100% in an Iron shirt. Hope all goes well.
seemed to catch the attention of Bradford fans aswell.
50+ games on loan at Bradford.
Interestingly he’s scored as many goals for us in his 50+ games than he did in his 130+ previous league outings.
Can’t be done at the low-tech SVS, but at grounds where there is a big screen they want to show the histrionics on a loop for all to see.
That would make them think twice.

Not sure if signing Howe is an option, as he’s only here on loan from Blackpool.
Good performance from him tonight though, so I’d be in favour of bringing him in at the end of the season to replace Clarke. Can’t see Blackpool releasing him if he performs well for us though.
Bloody delighted with the result as it gives me bragging rights over my Bantam mate for a couple of weeks.
Thought we defended well and Cox used his late subs sensibly. Much happier than Saturday!
Who are the owners again?
I think today was more a case of player attitude and application than player selection and formation.
I suspect Cox is scratching his head like the rest of us.
Well done to Cox & the players for keeping us up, not much more we can say.
Rather you’d not posted this for another month at least Ferrite.
Still mathematically possible to go down.
Beestin has touched the ball 6 times and passed it straight out 4 times. Shocking all round.
Good job he redeemed himself!

Just been out walking with my lad. I said, “we should beat Southend tomorrow, shouldn’t we?”
“Hmmm!” Was his reply.
Why would it make sense to bring in a loanee anyway? And once you had, not play them?
Unless Cox realised Clarke’s deficiencies at FB and always intended to move him to CB if injuries necessitated it. In which case Howe’s loan to cover Jai Rowe is a sensible move, and Cox is more savvy than we think!
If they’re as good as O’Malley then bring it on!
Awaywego on a fishing trip?

If McAttee knows Jarvis is getting £78k pa compared to his £31k no wonder he’s got a cob on!

Green & Beestin arrived in the January 2020 window. Just as Hurst was getting sacked.
You’ve missed off Mooney, which is easy to do admittedly.
The problem was bringing in those four “forwards”. Only Loft has had enough game time to warrant a mark IMO. So if you believe the wages thread that’s £150k pa wasted on the three that have hardly featured.
We could have got a decent finisher for that.
Difficult to compare with the 70s as the whole structure of football has changed beyond recognition since that disastrous 74/75 season when I honestly thought I was better than some of those on the pitch.
What seems to have changed for the worse is player attitude, and that’s something you don’t know about until after they’ve signed.
A mate of mine sent me a breakdown of Newcastle United’s wages and it’s very different to the website in the OP (eg Andy Carroll was second highest earner on £75k per week) so I wouldn’t read too much into it.
Well it wasn’t because he was at a nightclub until three in the morning!
Didn’t realise Hammill was back!
0-2 to Oldham. 7 shots for us and Neil to say we didn’t pass the ball well enough.
Well we had around three times that many, with half of them on target, but didn’t manage a goal until deep into added time.
Frustrating stuff.
The Royle Family was set in Stockport. ‘Nuff said!

Gone to a bigger club!
