Of course he’s not experienced, it’s his first managerial position.

But you don’t let a learner driver take a double-decker bus with no brakes and a dodgy clutch down a steep hill!

Barrow to lose their last three games and Cods to win two and draw one would do it.

I’m pretty sure the idea of relocating to a brownfield site has been discussed on here before (probably pre-Swann). And several were identified. I’ve always liked the idea, as I felt the club lost something when it moved out of town. Although a lot’s changed in thirty years.

It would be great if it happened, but it won’t.

I’ve been of a mind to give Cox my support, knowing all of the problems he’s had to deal with in a season far from normal.

Yesterday’s starting lineup was probably the strongest he could have put out (possible exception of Eisa in for Green).

Walsall at home was arguably the easiest of the four remaining fixtures.

So to roll over and die without a single shot on target, then taking off the one player able to produce something out of nothing, was totally unacceptable.

If he has lost the dressing room then he’s neither use nor ornament, and should go.

However we know what would happen should he jump or get pushed today/tomorrow. The Pawn would stick Russ back in charge for the last three games.

I do feel sorry for Neil, but then again I feel sorry for anyone who has to come in and work under the present ownership.

We look unlikely to score another goal this season, so we’re reduced to cheering on Exeter, Port Vale & Cambridge.

Just two points about that NI. One, it won’t happen, two, it won’t happen.

Whilst fans aren’t allowed in the stadium it won’t.

How about a dozen of you local lads getting down to the training ground tomorrow, Man Utd style?

Suggestion for a banner – “Scunthorpe United’s Swann Song” and the inevitable “Cox Out”!

Can’t disagree, but what good would a poll do?

Swann says every time that he’s “tough enough to take it” and he’s as unhappy about the results as any other fan. Fine rhetoric of course but nothing seems to get any better.

A few thousand fans baying for blood may cause him to think again but, he’s got away with that for over a year now.

The stark reality is that the team is toothless and spineless and the fans voiceless.

As for Cox, just a yes man given an unbelievable opportunity considering his CV in football management. He was never going to challenge or argue against the decisions of the board and that’s why he’s here!!

We know what happened to the last manager who wasn’t a “yes man”. He could well have the last laugh.

But depressingly whilst the present incumbents are in the driving seat we are only going to get “yes men” as managers.

That’s why I can’t see anything changing for the better.

Well he’s not talking about the ESL!

Completely agree with WG. Swann has got of lightly this season. Had fans been in attendance he’d be in no doubt as to what they thought of the performances.

And if Hurst pulls off this minor miracle then Swann is going to look a proper silly beggar for sacking him last year.

Second Saturday in a row that everything that could go wrong did go wrong.

Surely the Cods can’t win at Exeter can they?
