I really hope you are being sarcastic with that last statement.
Ready and willing to eat humble pie regarding Southgate as a coach but going to just hold fire until he beats a good team (or two).
I’m reading between the lines here WG but it would seem most of the assholes are still here.
Really good if ultimately depressing listen if you have not heard it yet.
You can see why the club offered a contract they knew he would turn down. We don’t want that kind of honesty around here.
Can just imagine Harry’s text to his ex Morecambe team mate Alex tonight.
“Today was a bit strange. I thought they would have had us training with the first team”.
Sounds like a solid league 2 performer. Another 7 please including a few forward players.

Hope you’re right Ferrite – I really do.
By the way I’m not moaning about England. Just sharing an opinion on the manager and his apparent similarities with our own.
You called him a “winker”, what would you say if you were complaining?
There still seems to be a large set of England fans who still aren’t happy that England aren’t winning well enough.
I don’t care how we win Ferrite. I am suggesting that the manager’s tactics made the game against a poor German team much tighter than it needed to be. Hummels, Kroos and Muller are a shadow of the great players they once were but if Muller had put away the games easiest chance I am not sure we would have won the game.
Maybe Southgate is a tactical genius. What do I know about football? I watch the Iron for goodness sake.
Hoping to eat my words and apologise to the wizard from Watford a week on Sunday.
Agree any win is a good win.
Thankfully the poorest German team in living memory.
Top performances from the back three and the midfield two. Sterling and Saka did really well. Pickford probably edged MOM for me.
Not ready to eat my hat yet but well done.
Keeper and 7 defenders. Neil will be buzzing.
If he got those results in 3 of the first 10 games it would be a massive improvement on last season.

Isn’t it amazing how all these players apart from Jordan wanted higher grade football but they have all ended up in league 2
They will probably be playing higher level than us the season after.
I would say there are 8 worthy of a 16 man L2 squad. I am giving Kenyon the benefit of the doubt as I don’t remember him from our Morecambe games.
Given O’Malley and Rowe had decent break through seasons from the youths we can optimistically hope for two more to come through that route.
I don’t see any of last seasons failed signings suddenly coming good so by my reckoning we need minimum six L2 proven signings to stand a chance of remaining a League club.
Our first game is two weeks tomorrow so it’s time to get a wriggle on Peter and Neil.
Our better halves are obviously more intelligent than us. Took Mrs MK to Chesterfield about 30 odd years ago. I promised she wouldn’t have to go 2 hours without a cigarette only to find smoking was banned in their old wooden main stand.
She moaned non stop about how poor the football was and not being able to smoke. I remember her asking why the players did not pass the ball to their own team very often.
Apart from a one off visit to the Wembley Orient game that was it for her.
At his age only two things matter. Length of contract and how much each week. The offer from Notts County obviously beat ours in at least one of these areas. Suspect there are at least half a dozen keepers of Sam’s standard looking for a club just now.
Busy night for Germany as they had a cracking performance against Portugal as well.
They were poor and fairly cautious against France but look a different side with the handbrake off. Hopefully England will start to try and win games from here on in rather than try to not lose them.
Surprisingly, Italy are the only team to approach their first 2 games with the confidence to just go out and beat what is in front of them. They have been a joy to watch. Theye can now give their back up players a game against Wales if they want to.
That’s football. Goalkeeper gets the blame for wandering 10 yards out of position. Hardly anyone blames the centre back for trying a Hollywood shot with virtually his whole team in and around the box and a simple ball outside guarantees a dangerous cross.
If I was coach it’s the centre back getting the bollocking.
That’s the rest of the budget gone on medical equipment then.
Seriously though hope the lad gets a change in luck. Agree there is a good player in there. Amazed to read he has played 23 games in 2 years. Would have guessed about 10.

Or could Mr Swann sign a few players and give us all something relevant to argue about?
Racial equality and indeed any other equality has nothing to do with Marxism.
Anyone trying to suggest that England’s footballers or regular posters on this site are Marxists is trying to justify their own extremist viewpoint.
Could we either get this thread back on topic or move it to the extremist/crazy people board?
Perch scored a 30 odd yard screamer in a Tuesday night game at GP
To be fair he scored nearly as good a goal against us a few weeks back.
Northumbiron, if you dont like the subject matter then ignore it. As long as it is a current subject I will use my right to free speech to ask the question weather or not it suits your narative.
If you don’t like footballers making a brief gesture of solidarity against racism then ignore it.
Personally I am delighted that a vocal minority are choosing to demonstrate why anti racism is so relevant.

You will notice Heath I didn’t say Loft was a good player.
Shows how poor we were that he was top scorer and our main hope of a goal except in the handful of games that Eisa bothered his arse.
Poetic licence Mick.
Oates looks good but he is playing up against Webster who made a few forwards look good during his time here.
Certainly not as good as Bob NI.

Based on yesterday the thing he has added is a bit of bite. He was a handful for the defenders the whole game and whilst he didn’t exactly bully the centre backs he certainly held his ground.
Even got involved in a bit of low level “afters” which I like to see from a centre forward.
It won’t be with us Cass because he will cost more than a bag of toffee.

Decent game Les and agree both teams would probably beat our team of last season.
Shame Slocombe made the mistake on the first goal. Played well after that and came off his line to good effect when needed.
Good to see Kyle has added a little bit of nasty to his game. Loft was one of our more effective players last season but on today’s showing Kyle woold be an upgrade on him. He will be back in the efl next season even if Notts County don’t make it.

Never quite understood why racists never ever agree they are racists. Met thousands in my time but never met one happy to be called one.
Same folk generalise and abuse non racist people as Marksist, libtards.
, loony lefties, anti British etc.Time for racists to come out of the closet and have a few racism pride events. Trump and Farage might be available as guest speakers. Might even bring their foreign wives along to feel the love.

Alcy wants me to pay more than the going rate for my ticket then I would qualify to be a core supporter.
Don’t remember claiming to be anything.
You couldn’t make it up (unless you’re Alcazar),
