They cannot do much worse

Doncaster only got 20 points when they went out of the football league it the late 90s, and had a much worse squad than we have now, and that is hard to believe.

I’ve only seen Boreham Wood play live once and that was at my home town Worksop in the FA Trophy and their supporters are the worst I have ever seen at a football match that day, extra police had to be brought from Sheffield that afternoon and what I gather they still have a bit of a reputation, they won that day so god knows what they would have been like if they had lost, but on the pitch they have done well this last few seasons, if I remember properly Scunny played there in a pre season friendly once a few years ago.
The Chairman must have realised that when after we came close to relegation last season he lowered the budget further this season, I am expecting he will say we will have the lowest budget in the National League, but won’t be happy when fans don’t renew season tickets when we have been starved of winning many games the last few seasons.
We will still probably lose.
It would be a good job for alcazar.
Hill will be here, he got a new club car yesterday.
At least last season Grimsby and Southend made a fight of it with us having a run like this season, but we seem to have thrown the towel in, the last few seasons have been a nightmare.

I said last week Cliff I can’t see us catching the team presently above us on their present points, we can’t fluke a result it is demoralising, feel sorry for those going away because we seem to lose every game but we don’t score any either yet the stats don’t give the impression of the score.

Sutton have had 3 shots on target and they have all gone in, Taft is illness but don’t know about the others Cass.

And started the slide from top to fifth on a poor run.
also last night there was a few glimpses that Nuttall was improving and looked a bit fitter.

Barrie I was expecting our player getting sent off just like Pugh for being in the way, anyway players don’t see red against us, well over 100 games now since the Blackpool player got a red against us in the Mickey Mouse Trophy 2 years last November.
110% better than Saturday, to me I think if we give it a good go even if we fail it will still be better than losing every game, like Les says Millen is starting to look a decent player, felt sorry for Thompson because he was having his best game and was impressed with the whole defence tonight, we attacked plenty but their defenders played really well, a lot of positives tonight after that second half crap on Saturday.
Better team tonight but they had three good chances, one was good defending by Millen, Watson got a touch onto the bar and bodies were put on the line for the other, but I thought we played well and that is the main thing until the end of the season, I didn’t know what the attendance was but there was more there than I thought would turn up.

And what can get worse NLI, this is far worse than most of the 70s and 80s

Didn’t he play for England at Youth level while with Leeds at Glanford Park?
it is no wonder the leading scorer only has 2 or 3 when in the second half we never made the goalkeeper make any save and we didn’t even force a corner, but when you are drawing 1-1 and needing 3 points and you make no effort to try to win the game it gives poor value to the fans and makes you wonder if you either want to come back or even renew your season ticket, Pike showed a bit of promise on his debut but now looks like he wants to go back to Shrewsbury, Nuttall yesterday stood little chance because there wasn’t any attacking intent when he came on, all that went when Burns came off.

I think we are already down, can’t see us getting the points to catch the current team above us at the present time.

It is alright blaming the embargo, but seeing most clubs in our division are technically smaller than us they got by without taking the loan, a very costly exercise from very rich owners.

Worst second half performance I have seen for a long while, we didn’t either have a shot at goal we didn’t even try to have a shot at goal, when we got into their half we gave it away or went backwards often to Watson, you don’t score goals if you don’t attempt to, I can accept relegation but the second half today was totally unacceptable, to think we beat Walsall with 10 men and today they won at the top team, we don’t seem capable of getting a shock victory, certainly a contrast to the first half when we played reasonably well.

Probably now, can’t see us reaching 3rd bottom
Part time next season?

You got what you wanted though Mick 4 years ago when swanny let Alexander go, if only!. Oh what lots would give for a team that plays boring football (supposedly) but keeps getting points.
I didn’t want Alexander gone, I wanted to see the football played under him and Lucketti not the boring negative football played under him and McDonald that took us from top of the league down to 5th and we weren’t winning games with probably one of the strongest squads in the division and he started playing players out of position and leaving quality full backs on the bench, now I see McDonalds just seen his latest manager get the boot.

Teams that come back into the League from the National League come back stronger, I am sure we will from National League North in a few years time

Nearly every game follows the same path, as soon as we concede its then you may as well go home or stop looking because it is either boom boom boom we concede more or we don’t get back into the game, certainly it was a awful throw in from Matheson for the first but they got luck we wouldn’t get for the second, the penalty I haven’t seen yet but we don’t seem to be able to get a shock result anywhere, it is going to be a massive achievement to stay up so we may as well just hope we can end the season on some sort of high and we can get a squad to give us some hope next season, but I won’t hold my breath on that but I’m afraid to say it all goes down to mismanagement over the last four years and I hope our owner will be very proud from going from extent to the other.

I don’t think the way White charged into Pugh he had chance to control how he was going to land on to White, White was out of control with the challenge and got away with it and I think the club are thinking that by comments from Simon Elliott and Hill.
And regarding Watson I think it was too close to him to be given handball and seeing it on the night and numerous times on video it is difficult to see whether it hit him on his arm or shoulder but seeing he gave us nothing else so let’s take that one because they got away with two.1 user thanked author for this post.
Darryn it was straight in front of us and what could Pugh do, both players were committed but it was their player who lunged in feet first so was baffled from Hill’s comments, he saw it from ground level but he may have a different opinion when he saw it on screen afterwards.
but then again nobody gets sent off against us.
