Had tickets for the group games at Hillsborough but, as others, the final on TV at home in the front/sitting room in Scunny.
I went to the Argentina v Switzerland and West Germany v Uruguay games at Hillsborough and the Final at home.

You could guarantee if it was 1-1 with 4 minutes to go who would score the next goal, and also when you miss a chance for an equaliser in injury time the other team would score a third, also it doesn’t help when you sub your best players unless they were injured, same old story of the last few seasons.
Where have you heard that
The biggest compliment I will give Altrincham is it made a change seeing a team come here not diving all over the place trying to con the Referee.

didn’t Richards-Everton join Yeovil in the Summer as well, I thought Shields looked quite lively when he came on.
I enjoyed the second half performance, 2 goals and a fighting performance, and we didn’t deliberately sit back, I don’t think they had a real effort on target all game, though the first half wasn’t brilliant it was still better than Saturday, Smith and Everton-Richard’s were excellent and Ogle played well and Leake didn’t do anything wrong, but it was great the way we battled in the second half and if we could do that for 90 minutes we have a chance, and our first ever win over Altrincham at the sixth attempt.

May it continue
Hard to take today, penalty would have been ruled out with VAR, he had his hands down his side, I think they only had one other effort and the keeper saved it with his foot, but we had no ambition until the last few minutes and that was against 10 men, but all this going backwards and inter passing at the back when we are behind must have wasted 20 minutes, apart from the last few minutes we didn’t look as if we would score, no tempo and little fight, very disappointing and a relegation certainty now.
Wilson, Elliott, McDonagh and Shields should be first name on the team sheet and give it a real go, change of system can happen later in the game, our current system seems to be leading to a slow death.
even if it is a day late as long as everyone is paid does it matter, I assume they would have been told.
what forward line Les, one striker and a winger making his full debut and he isn’t up to speed with the division yet, if he is going to play one upfront in our current league position he should have played Wilson or Shields.
I am always happy with an away point, but in some ways we needed a win and played one upfront, to me it’s a lost opportunity.

I thought we would have played with Elliott and McDonagh, also Wilson and Shields on the bench, god knows what our intentions are going forward
Same with Shields, and he isn’t on loan
I can’t affect it anyway, so not thinking about it.
I heard McDonagh and Shiela got knocks in training.
I think today we competed as a National League team and didn’t get outplayed, even if we go down by having a real go over the remaining games at least it gives you optimism for the NLN if the worst thing happens, hopefully the players keep the winning feeling.
Bunker, Butterfield and Beestin were excellent, I thought they reckoned Richards-Everton was crap, any of those four could have been MOM

A versatile defender when he was at Barnsley in their juniors and reserves
but good reviews from Barnet supporters
The main thing Bill is we still have a club to support whatever happens at the end of the season, but if we go down we will have to find our way back.
Well how many goals have we conceded from set plays and crosses this season.
I think he played here for Bradford City
Ben Richards-Everton from Yeovil on loan 6 feet 5 inch defender
It was when we were doing well
I hope it isn’t like a few years ago when Mr Ironbru Matt had everyone excited all day expecting a new signing and it was the new Irish Iron Shirt the club was going to use.
Probably hasn’t been updated yet, it’s only 3 weeks
Isn’t that 9 months old
And that is the owners problem how he wants to run the club, I think we have to leave those ideas to the people running the club and the management, remember we are not a league club anymore so there is going to be some trimming in certain areas, just be grateful we still have a club to support and it needs totally rebuilding whether we go down or not, but I expect if we go down there will be every effort to get us back to where we belong.
