I went there when we played in the FA Cup and it was on a freezing night and it took you all your time seeing because you’re glasses kept fogging up with the cold, nice little ground, I once went to their old ground to watch Gainsborough Trinity
2-0 up and the usual idiots more interested in point scoring, there’s a surprise.
If you’re referring to me, I was being very tongue in cheek (as the asterisk should have made obvious). I don’t want to be serious all the damn time.
Probably referring to the difference between mayo and salad cream myself and ironfromafar were laughing about, some miserable gits about.
thinking of mayo, can you remember when we had May an Hayes up front.
Bobby I am totally baffled, we have had 5 years of setbacks but when you think we have turned the corner and got a decent squad we have problems over the ground, yet we have sold tickets for seating as well as standing, named the restaurant after a sponsor and got a new scorecard, plus season tickets for parking, it shows Peter Swann doesn’t care about the club and supporters, David Hilton has had a lot of abuse whether needed or not but nobody has give him a chance, so totally confused and was looking forward to a better season still in a division higher than starting a Phoenix club

seeing Hilton’s response on the Facebook forum it sounds like Swann is changing the goalposts like he did with Ian Sharp and Simon Elliott
If it did happen there are 6 or 7 days when home matches clash
Hope you are right Pele, but only spoke to Geoff a few days ago, and not at the same time as Jed, that was a few weeks ago, though the ground i believe isn’t owned by Trinity
Unless I was told porkies, both Jed Hallam and Geoff Holmes both directors, Holmes is Vice Chairman have told me Trinity haven’t had any contact with Scunthorpe
totally agree
I think it is the complete thread that has been taken down about the Swann statement, Brassy, I have just looked and I can’t see it.
I thought you would have remembered that if you are a supporter AA
Like I said a few weeks ago a Trinity director told me there hasn’t been any approach from us to play at Gainsborough, and then yesterday I saw Geoff Holmes Trinity Vice Chairman who I have known for many years and asked him, and he said the same as the other director that there hasn’t been any approach to Trinity to play there.
He said yesterday it would be a couple of days Darren
Also didn’t ironinsider say the new players weren’t registered on one thread, well they are on the first team page on the club website now
It was a administration oversight and should show on Company House in a couple of days, according to Radio Humberside

No idea, haven’t seen anything and he is still on the youth team squad on website
He will be a good signing for my home town club.
maybe not recovered from that spine injury yet
Paid mine Matt
And regarding Fans64s comments I asked him myself and he said they hadn’t been approached, whether that is true or not I don’t know, but he did say it would be good for them if it was true to pay for the rent, so not a rumour I have heard in the pub but from a working class bloke who is quite open about Trinity and gets to know a lot about Scunthorpe as well, and not meant to offend anyone on here
Been away this weekend so didn’t read I fully ,now have .
This amused me from Michael Kent “there are a few who claim to know it all because rumours in pubs,”
On Iron Bru ,same person”been talking to a Gainsborough Trinity Director this morning and asked him if we get kicked out of Glanford Park would we be playing there and he said they haven’t been approached.”
Oops.
As for the rest, bunch of snides apart from Martin who has always been up front about his disdain.
It’s quite irksome that people who did nothing to help when it was more difficult to run a site like this with little or no money before the lazy the lazy method(Facebook groups) and start having a pop and calling users on here sad.Worth noting that Michael and Ellis have both been clicking “like” on each others posts since their outing each others usernames on Facebook.
I ticked one post which I agreed with, and haven’t slagged anybody off only saying it isn’t the same since some of the new posters have been here
been talking to a Gainsborough Trinity Director this morning and asked him if we get kicked out of Glanford Park would we be playing there and he said they haven’t been approached.

He is only 22 Burny so not old
But out a month earlier than normal.
To me you have to be patient and give the bloke a chance, too many rumours and you don’t know whether to believe them or not, all this bickering isn’t helping anyone and getting on the blokes back isn’t the answer, and if he walked away you won’t have a club and it could be the fans fault.

There was a picture of Whitehall with his family on Twitter a few days ago at Glanford Park but a lot of it is people putting 2 and 2 together and making 5, Hilton said there was a plan B, but it is a matter of waiting and seeing what happens instead of everyone jumping to conclusions

They were saying it a week or two ago but it hasn’t happened yet.
June 1, 2023 at 6:02 pm in reply to: david pay day was yesterday why are staff still waiting for their money? #263541Really? Call me cynical but that does sound a little amateurish after 3-4 months in. Can’t blame that on Swann surely?
the money was from the EFL and they paid it into the old account, the others are getting paid tomorrow,

Gainsborough isn’t the greatest place for parking especially when everyone is travelling, it needs sorting out for Glanford Park
Didn’t Murdock sell all his shares to Comcast in 2018
