I think you got him mixed up with sleepy Joe there. He would probably have a coronary if he was persecuted like the Trumpster is being. Trump will fight like hell, and might even use the situation to gain more political success.

I can understand the temporary move to a training pitch, like the one he describes. I really hope, for all our sakes, that the conspiracy theories are all well wide of the mark, and Scunthorpe United will not be merged with anyone. Full stop.
Only joined Bru a couple of days ago, and is already posting this crap. Hmmm…

I have never been to Germany, would like to go. I like beer and sausages!
That is nothing to do with the Codheads though.
He probably did save our club from administration. But with major assets still belonging to Peter Perfect, we are still in a precarious situation.
Lies were also told regarding the facilities that still belong to Swann. Having said that, we should be used to being lied to by now.
They are not our ‘friends’, never have been, never will be.

Ok, so Ilkeston is about a one hour and fifteen minutes drive from Scunthorpe. It’ll be a pain, but it is better than paying Swann to use what is supposed to be our own facilities. I hope an alternative is found soon, or that someone more sympathetic to the Iron takes the land around Glanford Park off the hands of that money grubbing bast**d.
Dark days are getting darker. ☹️
This is why I’m having trouble getting my head round this. In the ‘Grimsby’ Telegraph, Hilton said this. (Below.)
“Mr Hilton said: “I’m pleased to say the takeover has now been completed, and the deal includes the football club, stadium and surrounding land.“
Is that what could be described as a falsehood?
The manager has not had enough time to settle in, nor has the new players. If this is a long term plan for next season in NLN then it is on the new chairman, and very disappointing…
It is what it is unfortunately. But sacking yet another manager is not the answer. How much further must we sink before we learn?
The brutal truth of the matter is that The Iron are seriously out of their depth in this match. I only hope the guys can get their head’s together in time for the York City match on Tuesday.
Just been to Glanford Park and the players were out training. No sign of Chapman but there was Foster and another goalkeeper I didn’t recognise.
From what you did see, was the goalie you saw another kid? Or did he look old enough to have a bit of experience??
The goalkeeper situation is what worries me. Without Chapman we are left to rely on an inexperienced young keeper who is, let’s say, somewhat leaky.
I am usually a glass half full person, so on this occasion I hope I’m wrong…
Mathematically we can still stay in NL. If our last game is anything to go by, we just might do it. A drop into NLN would be a disaster, even compared to the standards we have seen in the last few years.
We really can’t afford to be stuck in that league. I hope this new regime understands how much of a tragedy that would be.
UTBI – Always
3 – 1 to United. Ten Hag is one hell of a manager. Still competitive in all competitions, even without a centre forward. No chance of them underestimating the Seagulls, that is the kind of mistake that you can’t afford to make.
12/1 is fantastic in a two horse race, blimey anything can happen. Gonna get a piece of that!
UTBI
We get a great win, and are rightfully pleased with it. We should celebrate every point we get, because we are badly in need of them.
There is no point in criticizing the team when they lose, if we can’t bring ourselves to praise them when they win…

I was working yesterday, and saw loads of Brighton fans going to and from the match. There was no way they would lose at home to Grimsby, the stakes were too high. They will get beaten by Man United in the semi final. But that is not for this thread.
Terrible luck tonight, I feel sorry for the lads…
Id love to know what my ilk is and why you picked on the Irish flag?
So many leftist support Irish Republicanism.
Does that include the EU flag or would you burn it in real life?
The EU flag is not a national flag and doesn’t count. But yes I would burn the bloody thing.
I think that the junior doctors strike is much more of an issue than a pathetic ex footballer who, let’s face it, won fuck all.
Pay the guys, it’s terrible that people who make coffee get more money.

All flags ok with me, I just think that you and your ilk have the biggest problem with UK and England flags.

So what equates to freedom of speech?
As odious as they are, the govt actually banned a political party because of what they stood for. Don’t get me wrong, I agreed with that proscription. But if there is to be a line we can’t cross, then freedom of speech does not exist here.
I saw the vid of him getting into that car and reiterating what he said. To say that our government, even though they are Tories, are like the Third Reich, is an insult to millions of victims from WW2.
What all flags? Even the Irish tricolour?? Perhaps you’ll forgo that, as long as you get the Union Flag and St George’s Cross banned.
In a way he did. If he wasn’t a BBC ‘lovie,’ nobody would have heard what he had to say.

I think match of the day has served its purpose and is no longer fit for it. Not just because of dick heads using it as a political platform. The amount of live streaming services for football now makes a highlight program unnecessary. The live version should be pay per view. Some of us don’t want to pay towards Lineker’s extortionate wages.
The problem with morals is that everyone thinks theirs are more accurate and acceptable than everyone else’s. Left wing, right wing, both full of hate. Those who describe themselves as Liberals are always leftward leaning.
The political system in the UK is broken. The only way of fixing it would be to introduce election reform. Proportional representation is the only way that the entire population can feel like they have a voice. It’s not perfect, and could well lead to many a hung parliament, but in its purest form, PR is the fairest system out there.
Short term loans like that of Bunker, are often used just to get a player fit. So we have done the job for them, and now they have him back and match fit. Typical.
Try glitter?
Don’t want any Garrys, come on!
