I think we have reached a point in time when we can’t expect to sack our manager and expect to get someone better. I have to admit I’m disappointed in Kieth after looking at his achievements from before he came to Scunny. But the thought of getting someone even worse really bothers me.
When I was in the building trade Saturdays was always job and knock.
Excellent, NI – sustainable white fish!
At least they ain’t bottom feeders!
I doubt we could shift Swann for less than £11,000,000. That is what he thinks our ground is worth. Shame we can’t rock up with the dough and demand that Glanford Park be returned, and then he can F off!

Last night was a disgrace! Southgate must have had an idea that most of his players were disinterested in that game, and who the hell was that goal keeper?
Trouble is that this competition counts towards the seedlings for future competitions.
Southgate is boring and negative. Come back Glenn Hoddle all is forgiven.
Crap job after crap job, I know the feeling. But they must have seen something in him to give him the job of managing a National team.
They were talking about Ian Baraclough on the radio last night. Apparently he is very popular as Northern Ireland manager.
Whodathunkit??
We had Cameron Burgess, Doh!
Maybe not!
Scott Burgess did play for us once, or am I mistaken for a change?
I’m nearly always doing 2.30 – 10.30pm so just put the radio on my phone. Don’t have a problem with individual commentators. The same with Iron Player, although with that I’m just grateful to get our own commentators and not those of the opposing team.
As has been stated on this thread earlier, plenty of verification from different independent journalists, tv networks plus lots of social media about what went on in Paris but if some people have an agenda about Liverpool fans then their prejudice won’t change one iota. Some people are just a sad bunch.
And you are right. Personally it is no secret that I’m a manc. Moved to Scunthorpe aged 4 in 1970 after the closure of Manchester steel, and my dad losing his job on the blast Furness a Earlham. He went on tho work on the Anchor Site then the Pit Arch Plant. Liked to live dangerously my old man. So Man U are my second fav team. I hate the Scousers as much as I hate the Cod Heads.
Far be it for me to contradict a Manc but for Earlham should that not be Irlam?
You are right, but as I stated earlier we left when I was about four. I don’t even remember living there. I remember living in High Santon Villas (hope I spelt that right.) lived in West Butterwick, and Crowle. Then Scunthorpe itself(good old Jackson Road.)
That is why Scunthorpe are my first fav club, Man U second.
Every United fan is happy that City won the league and not Liverpool, and that they got beat by Real the European final.

They were reportedly complaining about getting squished in the queue outside the turnstiles. Perhaps they were worried about missing the kick off, but that ain’t worth going through all that again.
You would have thought they had learned from Highbury not to rush at the turnstiles. The French police obviously don’t know how to deal with so many ‘fans’ turning up with moody tickets and demanding to be let in.
Typical scousers….
Nah, Peter Swann will never part the ocean. He has enough trouble parting his hair!
I hope you are wrong, on all points.
You point out that Coolsilk are some £29m in the red. Then expect us to use our money to provide, what would be a tiny drop in the ocean, to show what?
It’s a bottomless pit!
So as well as being a completely crap football chairman, he is also a totally inept business man.
So no surprises there then.

“Thick SUFC fans.” Indeed? Is that you Herr Swann??
WELL?
What concerns me the most is the fact that the so called ‘fans’ are attacking players. Back in the 70”s and 80’s I remember running on the pitch, as a kid, and not worrying about any danger. Yes some fans would fight each other, but by and large they left the players and the kids alone.
In my opinion the current situation is worse than back in the day, and the police need to get a handle on it, and quick.

Match day experience at Glanford Park is bloody depressing. Even back in the Wharton days all you’d ever hear is people moaning. Granted there is a LOT to moan about these days, we have been well and truly screwed.
Swann’s a cnut.

I predict that our club will be saved from liquidation at the very last minute, by a consortium of people who started their working life at SUFC. We will probably get demoted too. But we will bounce back from this one.

The Manager is 100% responsible for player conduct and behaviour.
If any player breaks the rules on more than 1 occasion they should be immediately suspended and removed from the squad list. Supporters should be aware of why players are no longer available for selection and termination of contract hearings started.
No wonder there was no chance of survival because they were allowed to get away with it. I would rather have seen non league free agents given an opportunity.
Highlights the shocking mismanagement at the club throughout the season.
I believe our manager was worried that he wouldn’t even be able to field a team, had he fired or even suspended the wage thieves. If that is the case then I expect to see a big old clear out in the near future, I didn’t see enough go in this years ‘retained list.’
Kieth should be able to do his job without constraints, not just from the poss tots in the boardroom, but those here posing as footballers who just can’t be bothered.
Get shot of em Kieth!!

It is a shame we had to keep any senior player quite frankly. They are all shite and the reason we are where we thoroughly deserve to be.
I hope non of the retained were the shirkers who disrupted training and wouldn’t play.
They should be named and shamed anyway.
I agree, please name the feckers!
You know what? I’m fecking sick of managers loosing their jobs because of the turds they were expected to polish. Having to play half decent strikers down the wing, because we have no wingers. Stuff like that is more the fault of those who hold the purse strings, but no one is sacking them.
Give Kieth a chance, because there may well not be anyone better available.

Wow, Madden and Hippo in the same team, I think they have a great chance to get promoted to L2 as well!
I just kept hoping for some kind of miracle, that we would string some results together and retain our league status.
I just recently fractured my elbow, but the pain is not as bad as the Iron getting relegated out of the football league made me feel…
Who’s offended?
