The fact that The Iron is playing ‘dross’ football is proof that we are in the right league. I won’t say we deserve to be in this league. As we were continually screwed by two wrong uns, who bought the club and run it well into the ground. But these players and this manager are where they deserve to be. We need a better manager and better players to get out of it. UTI

It’s amazing that as shit as we are, we are still in the mix.
The board will sit on their hands until we’re no longer in with a chance of promotion through the play offs.Yes we are shit, that is why we are in a shit league. The fact that we are still in the mix says it all. Our size and history have made us the team everyone wants to beat. The fact that they are actually raising their game against us, just proves how shit they are…

I mentioned some time ago that an old school mate of mine sees him down the pub from time to time. Says he often mentions The Iron, and that he would like to manage our famous club again.
He’s got to be a better option than what we have right now.

So this went from being a very well run, little club, that often punched above its weight. To being a slightly bigger fish in a shitty little pond, and you think there was never any assets to be stripped away by two unscrupulous club owners?? As for closing the academy.. Do you really believe that was a good idea? We can’t afford to buy any decent players, so let’s get rid of any chance of developing any. The Iron has been right to the very edge of extinction, and it is because of two dodgy chairmen, not any of our managers.

The only thing certain about The Iron these days, is that they everyone will always find a way to blame the manager. Fact is, we are in a crappy league, with crappy opponents. We should be good enough to beat them all, but we are not. But that is why we are where we are. We have been severely asset stripped by not one, but two dodgy owner/chairmen. Now we are where we are, because that is where we belong. To get back to where we were, will take a lot of time and a great deal of investment. We have the facilities of a club too big for this league, but unless we find an urgently needed money donor, we will eventually have to make the club shrink.
Wtf was that? Over 90 minutes of my life I ain’t getting back! Sorry, but that was plain awful. UTFI!!

Bobby Grant is on a select list of Iron players who I actively disliked. Had a tremendous shot on him but unfortunately that was all he ever wanted to do rather than pass to teammates.
I didn’t like him in Brookside either!
I wonder what Brian Robson is doing these days? Captain Marvel would certainly have the respect of the players.
Above and beyond imo. Well done Michelle and thank you for saving The Iron.

Don’t want Buckley-Rickets. Probably bow legged!
I would bet that he is also an Iron fan, he has been about long enough. So come on young sir. Let’s have some passion moving forwards, and keep any future drama out of the dressing room.

Good luck for the future Jim.
Hope to be welcoming Brian back in the non too distant.
Fair enough, just thought I’d point out that he already gets a lot closer to the club than some blokes random boozer in Scotter.
Ok, I understand. But seeing as I’m only in touch with a few of my family and old school friends these days. I don’t get to matches because I’m a night worker and that includes weekends. I’m glad that he still maintains some involvement with the club. Because I think he would be great if taking the reins once more.

Time to get old big hair back. Surely he’s up to this league. A mate of mine who lives in Scotter reckons he sees him at his local boozer from time to time.
That was so f**ked up! An awful way to lose such an important match.
So it’s another season in this stupid division. Bo**ocks!!!
I’m an acquired taste.Snot, if you don’t like me, aquire some taste.
Once you take the head out your a***. Is the recruiter going to be the new manager or not.Something we haven’t had for a long time. Congratulations to the young man. UTBI
And now the gap is 8 points? UTBI!
A non league journey man who couldn’t get into our academy years ago. The thing is, we are in a position now where he could prove to be useful. If he really can play all those positions, he would be a good option on the bench.
I just hope young Jimmy hasn’t promised him much in the way of being in our first eleven.
So Tamworth were 40/1 at the start of the season. Even the bookmakers had no clue. Hindsight would be such a wonderful thing, aye…
Semis at Wembley? lol my bad.
He still got em there…
Old ‘Bobbins.’
A sin bin would be a great way of punishing players for diving, blatantly trying to get others sent off, and abusing referees. Maybe other things like kicking the ball away when a free kick is awarded and instead of booking players for over exuberant goal celebrations. Could really benefit football, by stopping unnecessary bookings.

I think most people have accepted the fact that Tamworth will be Champions.
A lot of people are now fearful of our chances of promotion through the play-offs. Is it currently a 50:50 split?
I think that Jimbob will be here until the end of the season.
I hope that he isn’t given a contract extension.
Torpey for manager?
Harsley for manager?
Butler for manager?
Butterfield for player manager?
Expenditure needs to be less than income.
Ambition requires tethering to the ledger and balance sheet.
I’d rather have a tent on terra firma than an air castle.I’d love to see Torps as manager, with an experienced assistant. Definitely not Butterfield as player manager though. As long as he is able to play, he should remain a player. The Iron are too keen on sacking managers. Don’t want them sacking our manager and best player in one fell swoop!
It is the mark of a good team, if they play a poor game but still win. My glass is still half full.

I got a lookalike in Brighton, sick of getting the blame for all the bad things he does.
Agh, just looked it up. lol.

Shame it’s not run by the club though.
Have the Iron got a walking football team? Apparently there is a lot of money to be made by letting a load of old gits dodder all over the pitch, and it can get competitive.
Just a thought. UTBI
