Didn’t Ogle give away possession which led to their goal?
Disappointed not to be able to grace GP with my presence but hoping to catch it on the telly.
Shall get to the next couple at home but then off to sunnier climes (?). I used to follow on IFollow from Spain.
Sigh.I’d dearly love to join a boycott but living outside the town – it’s hard to see how I can buy fewer copies than my present zero.

If pre-season is anything to go by, Beestin goals are gonna be pretty rare.
Supporters do not know what happens behind the scenes nor on the training pitch. It’s impossible to judge when we are outside not able to see in.
There have been a number of players in recent seasons who have not helped the esprit de corps in the club.
Hopefully, the negativist little sweethearts will have all departed taking their toxicity with them.1 user thanked author for this post.
Two big guys up front with CBs added for set pieces – if they don’t score – then surely there are going to be lots of bits and pieces for CMs.
No. That’s not as good as having a goal poacher but it gives some hope.
Just one question post pre-season games – Beestin seems to have been getting no end of chances followed by loadsa near misses.
Anyone think that he might start to get a few on target when the rubber hits the road? You may well be right.
His biggest problem has been the late arrivals of players. Creating a cohesive unit is difficult when new players don’t arrive in time for the start of training and haven’t had much time on the pitch in friendlies.
Have to admit that the quality – as best as you can tell at this point – looks better than I’d been expecting.Good luck.
Paying up contracts is not that simple.
If I have a contract for the next ten months – why should I allow it to be paid up?
It may be in my interests to leave and find some other job in which case the number of months I write off is there for negotiation but …IFA – if we get new owners – the striker situation will have to be remedied as Job Number One.
If they can’t do that – then only shall we have problems. They must know that they have to come in prepared to spend six or seven hundred k in the next few months or there is zero chance of any bounceback.1 user thanked author for this post.
‘Several years’, PLI2?
I know about frying pans and fires but when you get as low as we’ve gone – any move almost has to be upward.

Perhaps they could halve the weight of the ball instead.
Maybe a switch to balloons could be on the cards.
It would then be real fun watching it float away on windy matchdays.Am I wrong about the Bristol Rovers game that Ethan had a real bad un?
In the big picture, the Butterfield signing is quite puzzling. Whatever the circumstances – he must be the highest paid by a large margin.
It is only an educated guess but I reckon that the plan may well be not to waste any money at all on duff strikers.
There is certainly a sense that the club is on the cusp of changing hands. LT (and KH?) must surely have been involved in discussions with potential new owners. Would they have tipped him/them the wink to hold off and wait for proper funding for proper monies to be available for some real signings?
As speculation – this does make some sense. What other scenario would involve not even attempting to bring in some strikers – cheapo ultra longshots from pub teams 0r whatever?
Does KH see him as an RB? Most fans seem to.
I suspect that the two will have to fight it out for the RB spot but Rowe will be someone who covers a number of roles.
(Expect Jai to start working on his long throw!)I would say so.
I am surprised that there aren’t more attempts to convert CBs into CFs.
It is pretty rare these days but a good few attempts were made across the leagues in the 60s and 70s – some more successful than others, of course.1 user thanked author for this post.
There are always those who will hang onto old prejudices.
There are frequently supporters who will rarely give credit to a player that they have already pre-decided is a dud – even when he has given a 7+ out of ten performance.3 users thanked author for this post.
I do so hope you are wrong.
This is the IK end of the spectrum – the opposite to the WG end.
I’m rooting for WG’s view, of course, and always attempt to be optimistic if I can.Is there any possible centre ground here?

I’m sure that he does tell a lot of truth.
Am I missing something?
160 flats at £1k pa = £160k pa for The Iron.
This is so huge a sum that it will leave the club set up for immeasurable future success.
Did I mishear? Are my ageing brain cells letting me down? (Are we forgetting inflation?)
It would pay the annual salary of a single decent centre back. Great. But hardly game-changing, is it?It has to be that costs of forwards are prohibitive.
At the minimum we must have a CB and a striker. But how?
Are we banking on new owners as imminent?
PS is suggesting that is, at least, a possibility and that they would spend on the team.1 user thanked author for this post.
If …
So many clubs get to this point then the deal collapses.
Let’s get excited when the deal is done.7 users thanked author for this post.
Taft was a disappointment last season as we know just how good he can be.
It must have been like a repeating nightmare for him seeing us ship so many goals.
Prediction: I think we are going to see the ‘real Taft’ this year. (And yes – that would be a good thing!)Yet Dysons are still hoovers.
Serious point though, Pat. So many complain.
The T&T lad is impressing. That may work.
Ntlhe covering LB and CB. It may work.
Still need two forwards. One urgently. Both on paper and what we could see in what was, admittedly, a friendly – I reckon KH has earned the right to try managing a squad for what, in reality, is the first time.

Might well have agreed but the matter has now been closed. He’s made a contrite apology and will still be here this season.
Water under Keadby Bridge. Reluctantly or not – time for us to move on.1 user thanked author for this post.
