Look where we are now – youngsters on loan coming in. AGAIN!
No disrespect to these lads at all but they aren’t what we need unless we are very lucky.
(Incidentally. ‘lucky’ and SUFC don’t often appear in the same sentence!)2 users thanked author for this post.
Oldham win, I was behind the goal and think I can recall a terrific winner from Barry Horstead.
I HAVE TO SHOUT JUST TO MAKE MYSELF HEARD BY NON-DEAF FRIEND IN THE NEXT SEAT!
TURN THE VOLUME DOWN ON THE PUBLIC ADDRESS, FOR PITY’S SAKE!!!Two loan signings? – Shrug. We’ll see.
Experienced defenderS. Before Boreham Wood. PLEASE!1 user thanked author for this post.
From Wednesday, we have a couple of days to make good the mentioned EFL signings at the closure of their transfer window – before our next Saturday game
Get this right with three trustworthy players in who can cover the areas of direst need and we can muddle through this season.
Fail to do this and it is hard to see any way back.7 users thanked author for this post.
For years, I have repeatedly gone on and on about the Iron taking crosses without any player coming in from beyond the far post to meet them.
If commentary was accurate – we had that situation just ONCE in the entire game, today – when the cross was ironically made to the near post!
Commentators described a a multitude of situations where there was no player coming in to meet the ball across the 6 yard box.
It’s not just KH – this has been the case with at least five out of five of our recent managers.
WHY?3 users thanked author for this post.
Another win to the Cod ‘eds.

Put simply – our squad is incomplete.
Only if we fail to complete the squad build.

Just before their second, I saw one of our lads in an advanced position get, what looked very much like a heavy ‘clop aboot the heed’ with an arm. One second later the ball was in the net.
It never occurred to me that the goal would be allowed.
Was I seeing things coz few reacted?Incidentally, finicky annoying ref. 4/10
As for Beestin coming off – there will surely have been a valid reason. In a decent CM – he is starting to show what he can do.
Nobody’s arguing that we don’t have a major lack of defenders.
We have scored seven in four games – something must be right.
2 decent defenders can radically change this squad.1 user thanked author for this post.
There was no left side of defence at all after half time – and not that much before.
This was a polished side and superior in quality to our team.4 users thanked author for this post.
Is this abuse really necessary?

Yes but he wasn’t the one making all the duff passes. Against Yeovil – it was the best passing seen in yonks.
Second half at Maidenhead showed that it can be achieved with these players.Well, that’s lulled him into a false sense of security!
Besides – what could he possibly have learned?Nige seemed to be praising the tactical changes as a number of players had a right stinker and seemingly things needed to change to kick ’em into gear.
Players who really can pass – lost the ability last night.
Whitehouse. Whatever happened? Carrying a knock? –Gotta agree 100% with WG about O’Malley. Can’t afford to play him as a LB any longer. So much pressure on the defence down our left.
Desperately need a left CB as the top priority.No.
So sad.
Nuttall header. He seemed to climb high, defy gravity and hang in the air for half a second. That is an ability which really could bring us goals from set pieces. First time I’ve seen him do it.
Hadn’t really understood the commentator when he said that we were twice caught between O’ Malley and Taft. Now having seen the highlights …I wanted a quick resolution but never expected one. These things seldom happen that way.

To all those brave guys who travelled in scorching heat – any thoughts on Carver?
Commentary suggests we had the lion’s share of domination but when you go bonkers at the end of the first half and start gifting goals … Sigh.
So. Are all commentaries on the Beeb?
I’m certain that IFollow offered me Audio Commentaries after we’d lost live streaming.
Glad we’ve had no video. After water break we apparently gave up!BBC – ‘broken’. Suddenly commentary.
I thought I’d paid £45 quid for commentaries.
Fizzing loudly. These things can take several eternities.

One benefit from no (outfield) loans.

What is Ogle’s brief?
I loved the role he was given.
Here, there and everywhere. (Ok just so long as we have other midfielders, in the know, and falling back to cover RB.) Funny. I’d thought he was taller. No matter.
This looked a decent team but squad depth is dangerously lacking.2 users thanked author for this post.
