The one manager whose departure was wholly indefensible.
Without incoming replacements to cover critical areas – and soon – there is very little chance of survival in the NL.
Today, two things wrecked us. A referee by not disallowing their first goal after a foul; referee who doesn’t know that smacking someone in the face is not a yellow card.
Secondly, we fell into a trap which has beset us for more than a decade ie) putting every man behind the ball for the last half an hour of games ‘to prevent us conceding.’
Question. Hasn’t Daws been around for all of that period? Has he not seen what happens whenever we opt not to take the attack to the opposition?5 users thanked author for this post.
I suspect that you may have a good argument, DI.
Well. If he’s an honourable man – I can’t see why people are getting so bovvered. It’s not as if we have any reason to disbelieve what he says.

It’s an effort for me to attend – I need an incentive. (In fact have needed one for five years, I suppose.)
Had planned to come to the Notts Co game as the early K.O. suits me but …Happily, Vader – I was not there in person.
Still. As long as we know that the football club will be in good shape when the owner eventually steps aside – surely, all must be well.
Irony apart – the abject misery of the last five years is not too far behind bereavement in the way it leaves you feeling.1 user thanked author for this post.
Team has obviously worked hard. Commentators said so. But- it’s been all hell and no notion. Otherwise known as – headless chicken syndrome.

I think we may be talking at angry dolphins here, NI. (Sorry. I meant cross porpoises.)
S13 is full of squirrels and magpies. All my walks from six years ago which were filled with birdsong are near silent. Same numbers of cats. Same numbers of rats. Very few pesticides. 600% (give or take) increase in grey squirrels and probably more than that with magpies. 2 + 2 doesn’t make five.Must point out that killing vermin is legal but you’ll struggle to prove your case, NI, with the sort of Magpies you are referring to.
May Alan Knill-kill many more! (Could he also learn to eradicate magpies?) Signed, Supporter of Songbirds.
Just seen highlights. Reckon that Wrexham would take the top slot in League Two and, with the same side, would perform well in League One.
This confirms what I saw from them last season.Number One son had a Jag from new – the worst car he bought since that First Picanto.
Family friend makes similar disparaging remarks about ’em.It made me shudder.
Our Nige seemed pleasantly surprised by how well we played – and, as usual, spoke about the few negatives with a degree of wisdom.

Two sides of Beestin:
1) What a super through ball for our goal!
2) Ogle tried hard but struggled to clear in our box and Beestin watched the guy shoot unchallenged. Am not saying that he could have necessarily got in a tackle to prevent their goal but an effort to just narrow the angle might have given us a different outcome. Is that really fair, WG – the lad’s been at the club for years?
The trouble is, BS – none of us is sufficiently confident to gainsay what you’ve written.

Too many CMs of the wrong type.
We can’t get past the fact that three positions are not adequately covered.
(Imagine the shame and humiliation for some team when they become the first to fail to score against us! – It could even happen this season!)
Am turning the commentary off.
Have a nice afternoon.
This is the only thing I can do to help. If I don’t listen they’ll probably play well just to spite me.“They look like they don’t have a clue!” Ollie.
Lee Hodges seems shocked by the fare on offer! The conservatives certainly haven’t covered themselves in glory. Sorry. Meant Tory!
Whatever happened to Cribb?
The most overwhelming reason I’m now a rare visitor is that I’m an old dude who can’t face driving back to Sheffield in the dark – especially when so many road closures of the M180 send you onto farm tracks and D roads.
Also can’t easily face bad winter weather – my arthritis kills in the cold.
You’ll still see me in July to September and late March onwards.
Mind you – if I can bum the occasional lift from Number One Son, who now has other Saturday commitments, I’ll risk the cold but only if the lads are trying.
Conclusion? – Probably six or seven games a season.1 user thanked author for this post.
Already doing that. It helps a bit.
I get it, IA.
I’m now trying to develop that sense of detachment that I can usually put together to get me through whenever I have to attend a particularly tough funeral.1 user thanked author for this post.
We barely have a team and two subs. When injuries, suspensions etc take their pound of flesh – of course we aren’t going to be able to compete. No Butterfield, no Apter – oh, dear.
Where CBs are concerned, we are nearly running on empty. Breaking up of play in midfield is largely absent from games when we do have ‘a full team’ on the pitch.
There are question marks over the GK.
Apter will leave in a couple of months. We are still paying Marsh’s wages, presumably. Hallam remains on the sidelines – as ever.
Gotta say that beating SS always looked a longshot.1 user thanked author for this post.
What a good day.
We have not lost any league points.1 user thanked author for this post.
Rien.
The second goal conceded was the one which troubled me regarding Dewhurst.
We need a CM destroyer.
