No, but the torn muscle across the right shoulder blade makes me say ‘aaaagh!’ – and worse.
A propos of nothing – which of our games is on BT sport?Pugh looks much better now that Nelson has taught our lads the importance of movement off the ball. His passes usually find a man now.

Ah.
Nil desperandum Hallam will soon be back.
A fascinating listen.
Interesting emphasis that PS has not taken a penny out of SUFC.
Good to hear that there are investors around too.
For the first time in a month – I have a tiny tinge of genuine optimism!3 users thanked author for this post.
I suspect that he may well be pretty good.
Not everybody would jump at a 15% saving, besides all you need is to make it necessary for developers to sell undervalued. That’s where the win kicks in.
Unlike Look North not to offer him a chance to defend himself.
Perhaps we may assume that he refused to talk to them.
Nice one, Matt Dean!1 user thanked author for this post.
Irish, IA!
I think you must have read my piece but not the heading, BS.
I also wrote that all the Chesterfield players were better than all of ours.
Just how optimistic do you think I am?
The underlying theme was that we are heading out of the league BUT with new owners – there is something solid we can build on.
Positive – moi? – Only when I hear that Sharp and Elliott are in control.1 user thanked author for this post.
Teams in our League need two experienced GKs.
It will have been expense of wages alone that saw Rory sent packing. In his last season, with all backs to the wall, he showed the maturity that we’d all been waiting for.
He did end up a decent keeper. The signs had always been there, of course.
Keepers generally mature more slowly than outfield players. It’s not called ‘irony’ for nothing, 64.

This is all so unfair.
What we need is someone to list all the promises that Peter has made – and kept – to the supporters of the Iron.
A second list showing – if there are any – ones which might, arguably, have been broken could also be compiled.
With this comparison in place – we’d all be able to see precisely what the truth has been.
I am sure that this would bring an end all the unreasonable attacks made on Peter.
It would surely be a great relief to him and to any who have made unjustified comments on Bru who will then welcome having the opportunity to apologise.1 user thanked author for this post.
To be fair to Nelson – I think that the whole appearance of this lot as a team has improved under his stewardship.
I would go as far a to say that I don’t think we’d have been in the bottom four if he’d been in charge since KH’s departure.
His side looks as if: clean passing has not been abolished; there is some kind of organisation; there is an actual plan; he attempts to get players going forward; his team looks the hardest working we’ve seen in quite a while.
I think he quite probably has earned the right to stay in post in the unlikely event that there is a takeover and new bodies are brought in.
The easy counter to this is to point out the lack of wins – in which case I’d point out the fact of him having so few real defenders to work with.4 users thanked author for this post.
I can think of a way for him to atone.
It is popular in some quarters to abrogate all personal responsibility from addicts by using the word ‘illness’ which is dangerously incorrect.
The fact that some people have a much greater propensity for self-harm via addictions is not in dispute, however. It may not sound much different – but it truly is.
In all forms of addiction, sufferers have to ‘own their problem’ before they can eventually beat it.
I have considerable experience over years in dealing with people who are addicts of one form or another.
At the moment, I work closely alongside the CAB whilst attached to fronting a foodbank. Addicts are heavily represented amongst our customers. Just one situation amongst many where I have had experience trying to help addicts over years.
They need: love, encouragement, warmth, advice, practical help, referrals but the one thing I refuse to do is utter the deadly words “You are not to blame.”
I talk in depth with many over a year. I can’t think of a single person who is prepared to share their problem who does not admit that, in the end, they are the ones who have to tackle it.
The ones who do not/will not “own their addictions” are the ones who, generally, tumble into the abyss.
So very tragic.3 users thanked author for this post.
From a moral perspective – it is certainly true that he should bear heavy responsibility for his own profligacy but … nobody and nothing can force that point.
It’s not as if he made promises that weren’t kept.(Of course, I meant – LB.)
Gotta agree about Rowe getting suckered on their first goal.Hmm. Everyone still wanting Dewhurst on the bench?
Terrific stuff. Daniel at RB all season would have transformed our position in the table. Both CBs looking much more comfy with him in the side.
So many noteworthy performances against what is effectively, a top league two side – or better.
Shrimpton and Beestin looking good and best from Butterfield in weeks.
Keeping possession; good passing; intelligent runs and covering. I was pleased with just about everything but the result.Nelson appears to believe that we are just waiting for the starter flag to drop and a load of players are coming in – probably in a large batch.
Sir Ot – it only mentions a trio of gifts. All else is guesswork.
Where does it say that there were THREE Wise Men?

It’s the hope that kills you.

The reason I opted for Parkin was coz he’s the type of player you can build a team around. His influence covered forwards and midfield – always back for set pieces. Tough. Could be a bit mean.
Lavery looks decent in a poor team.

Is there snerr (sic) in Scunny?
It doesn’t really matter. Freezing temperatures likely all of Tuesday so little prospect.
Suits me.NL is a step up for Carver which, maybe, he could make.
However, we do not have the time to find out.
We need a Jon Parkin. Trouble is that getting one – you’d probably have to bring in someone well over 34 – and we all know the dangers of that. The return of Jordan Hallam very soon will surely help us climb the table.
Maybe under instruction from Mussie, Foster was expected to let the CBs clear if that was possible – and he was not to come out unless they were unlikely to win the header.
Dunno. Just casting around for an explanation.A few postponed matches throughout December might work in our favour.
