    Back to shirt numbers.
Last night I spent most of the game – the first time I’ve seen the lads this summer – trying desperately to identify who was who. I was constantly going online trying to pick out faces. A real pain in the buttocks.
What numbers were Kelly and Scales, anyone? – I know I rated the number 15.

Some super combination moves in the second half but the tackling will be much heavier in real games.
Thought Rance played a decent role in the first half and this was taken over by Clunan in the second half who may have been half a notch better.
Interesting to see Shrimpton get so much time on the pitch.

Having made the all those openings, why so few scored?
Still, last few seasons, we have often gone most of a game looking for just one opportunity.

If that is correct, won’t that mean that Begbies Traynor have acted improperly?

Is the Begbies Traynor firm acting dishonestly? – I seriously doubt it!
Will the judge be easily prepared to effectively; destroy a local asset, hurt a town and cause job losses?
How impressed will he/she be with the gambling history of PS?
If the alleged broken promises made to fans are admitted into evidence – which from a contextual point of view, they might perhaps be – the damage to the PS case from that and assorted peripherals may be significant.
This is well outside my own dealings from criminal cases in Crown Court but judges, by and large, do like to take a broad overview – especially in cases which are finely balanced. They do try very hard to bring fairness whenever they can.
There is more than a chance that, prior to the hearing of the case, the judge may even act as arbiter and make suggestions which both parties would do well to heed.

Look at this from a different angle.
I am assuming that the solicitor’s letter was genuine.
Solicitors take instructions from clients – that’s a fact. But I am not sure that any solicitor would have dared to send that letter without first knowing the truth about the funds for purchase being available.
IMHO – if not so, that would have been sailing very close to the Law Society’s wind (of which it has plenty.)

To answer Point 1, IB – I believe that this may be interpreted as ‘covering the bases’.
If correct, the circles in which I move refer to this as ‘wisdom’.
Point 2 doesn’t look too problematic.
Point 3 – presumably DH is making plans.

    Four questions:
    1) Is it possible to get round ‘proof of funds’ when you don’t actually have them? – If so, how come it’s referred to as ‘proof’?
    2) I cannot for the life of me see what there is in this for DH if this proclamation is actually from PS. ???
    3) DH has already spent a fair bit of money – if this document happens to be correct – to what purpose was all that expenditure?
    4) Why would DH opt to make a public fool of himself?

There has been a great deal of mistrust, deep cynicism and outright criticism; there have been a number sitting on a wait-and-see basis – I must admit, myself included; there have not been all that many saying ‘thanks for saving our club, BTW.’
In addition, there has been a number doing total Cassandra impersonations.
If you had committed as much in terms of: sweat, toil and cash – I wonder how many on Bru would have been wandering around muttering ‘ungrateful personages’ – or similar – under their breath at this point?
(If you crash the cash – you have probably bought a certain amount of entitlement to be thin-skinned, IMHO.)
At this stage, I suggest that fans should not be looking to criticise for the sake of it – but once the season is under way and we have a couple of wins under our belts – fair-minded people must start giving DH the credit – even if it means having to do a complete volte face from where their opinions are now.
We all know exactly why the fans are so very lacking in trust. It is natural. Had there been no lengthy Swann interlude here, I am sure that the inbuilt and historical decency of most Iron fans would have been peeping through.
Okay, myself I am not yet 100% certain, so I’m hesitating a bit but at least, I’m looking forward to being able to give DH my unqualified support.

A friend knows Tamworth well and suggests that theirs are arguably the most hostile fans in that division.
Perhaps there’ll be a strong police presence in case the Iron fans outnumber them.
I really don’t want our brief sojourn in that division to start with a powder keg.

A lot of sense written here.
It’s not just us, though. I would think that a majority of smaller clubs are doing this.

Rance was not satisfactory. We have long surmised that this was as a result of the effects of a previous injury.
Is it fair to judge him at this early stage?
