Yeovil: “Owner and his children receiving abuse so is now selling up.”
I never attacked Hilton when he was in charge – not because I had even a single jot of trust or confidence in the man – but coz I was scared stiff of what might happen if he got fed up of the non-stop attacks on Bru from a great many fans.
Best of luck, Yeovil.Sad if a fluke goal scuppers us.

If there had been a bit more sense last Autumn with formations – we’d be looking back now at all of the teams scrambling for 2nd spot – quite possibly the best part of a dozen points behind us.
Still, no use crying over spilt milk.
The penny really seems to have dropped now with AB.
I do not want to change manager.8% ??
Unlikely if he wasn’t even a sub last night.
Iron win 3-0

I yeeeeeeaaaaaarn. Iron take lead in the cup final!
When I first saw Kelly play, on several occasions he played left CM. I liked what I saw.
Beck has many good footballing qualities. It’s been said before but systems have to make some effort to work to his strengths.

They looked to be a pretty decent outfit.
Will the away games v Peterboro and King’s Lynn both be televised?
Neither on a Saturday.Price increase of 50%.
Luke Williams played for a while. How did he look?
Ready to take over in CM if needed?I’m not greedy. I’d take 4 points in the next two games.

My fears pre-match were not realised.
a) We had one of the better refs this season and
b) Alfreton were no worse than any other sides we’ve seen this season.Us too.
Torps quote: “We’ve had enough chances to win three games!”
Both commentators agreed that the freekick from which we conceded was duff.
What is the matter with Scales? – Why does he not just do the obvious thing when he has a shot on goal sitting on his plate?
(Roberts may have missed a few today – but at least he does score regularly.)1 user thanked author for this post.
I’m not making any points at all regarding Roberts – it’s just that, as a team, there has been an insufficiency of crosses.
Brought up on football in the 60s and 70s, I remember a time when crosses went beyond the GK almost every time – and the exceptions were usually at the near post. Remember the terror caused to many defenders when Nolan Keeley covered the near post? – Little back flicks caused chaos. Of course, you needed a corner taker who was pretty accurate.
Ball after ball down the GK’s throat? – Nope.
There were usually one or two big lads about 8 yards beyond the far post who ran in at speed to meet crosses. GKs had a much tougher time back then.
When your last man is level with the keeper’s far post – obviously, crosses are made which attempt to pick out that man. It’s a recipe for giving possession back to the defence.
The flight of that ball gives the GK a chance to pluck it out of the air on far too regular a basis.
It wasn’t so much that GKs were no good at catching crosses back in the day but just that they weren’t fed them over and over again.
Big lads rampaging from the area beyond the far post in order to meet crosses on their forehead frightened defences – and keepers – far more than I have seen in decades.
Ernie Moss never played for us but I remember him fondly.1 user thanked author for this post.
Please Mum – can we keep ‘im?
Wreh and Beck worked together well.

Apologies, IFA. If I plagiarised – it was subconsciously.
I think Fadera might just be the guy to open up defences. I’d want to see him start every game and if it ain’t working – bring him off early.
But if it does work it will be coz many defences at this level cannot cope with pace.1 user thanked author for this post.
Any actual news about Whitehall?
