Ask him who did Will Swanns annual performance review and how it went

I imagine Derry said “no, YOU come and see me!”. Maybe somebody who will stand up to the chairman
I just hope he draws extensively on the knowledge and experience of Chris Swann with his 2:1 and couple of years on the Deloitte graduate programme, Will Swann with his years of playing Football Manager and of course Mrs Swann. If they all put their best footballing minds to it I don’t see what could go wrong.

Don’t see how anybody can predict a 1-0 win for us unless they anticipate us scoring very late. Of course if we score in the first 60 minutes we will drop back behind the ball and try and defend it, eventually conceding due to law of averages and possession. So I’ll be positive and say 1-1 even though as usual it will be like the Alamo at the end as we desperately hang on.

At least Cox cant talk his way out of this. All changed on his substitutions and formation change

Inevitable. Sack Cox now. He learns nothing

Going 5-4-1 with 25 mins left. What could possibly go wrong

Don’t know if it’s related they’ve had a few winners at the races lately that have been homebreds – so it looks like racehorse breeding is another interest
It amazes me that Cox is still here and that people are using a “he’s a nice bloke” defence to argue for keeping him. He had no management pedigree to begin with and has proven that he is not up to the job. Yes he has been dealt a bad hand and we can’t expect him to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear but neither did we expect him to make it into a mouldy pork scratching. He is as under qualified for the role as Peter Swann is to run our club.
And it’s the last statement that will make the sacking futile anyway. All of the evidence demonstrates that Mr Swann and his board do not have the collective competence required to make the right hiring decisions to run a successful football club. If he had the self-awareness and humilty to accept that then he would not assume the “expert” role for the next appointment. I can’t see that happening and I’m expecting another “nice bloke” duffer who will work for peanuts to come in.2 users thanked author for this post.
Alcazar, I do blame Peter Swann. I intentionally don’t accuse him of something that I cant substantiate

I switched off at the imaginary stand-up argument between Neil Cox and Peter Swann – where Neil barges into Peter’s office and says “You know that recruitment position that you made redundant because the job is no longer needed – well I’ve got somebody perfect for that ‘no longer required’ job. He is a 23 year old guy who has played a lot of Football Manager 2020 and coincidentally is your son. I insist you reinstate the position so that I can employ him”. The scene ends with Neil leaving the room, wiping ordure from the end of his nose.
Presumably there have been similar discussions where Neil proposes recruiting Johnny Vegas to the non-existent position of team nutritionist because he once appeared on celebrity bake-off. -
