Sheff Utd pre season friendly, already being outbid on players (by Southend who doubled our bid), Swann has turned two offers down for the club, a third potential buyer in talks, season tickets sales around 500 so far, new kits to be launched at the first three friendlies (subject to delivery).

Drinking Wood’s Navy Rum on a sinking ship, might take a hip flask on tuesday to keep me warm.

Grant controlled the game when they came here in August, big and nasty, just what we need. I remember hating him at the time, didn’t he knock Wilson flying as a welcome to league football?

Also covered by Max Bell on twitter, apparently Swann/Rodwell wanted to increase the Telegraph’s payment from 2.5k p/a to 10k p/a for access, interviews etc. As mentioned above Iron Trust & now Simon Elliot trying to sort out a compromise deal.

Their iron-bru equivalent seem to think he is coming back to us this week. Hill was vague about it last interview I saw, would give Rory some competition/back-up i guess.

Of course, Loft doesn’t necessarily have to be moving up the pyramid to increase his income and chance of progression, maybe he is planning a McAtee style move to the cash-rich Vanarama; plenty of teams paying higher wages than we can afford down there and a chance to bag a few goals maybe??

My son ordered me the third kit for a fathers day present (in May). I contacted the club to ask when they were being released, as when they launched the home and away kit there was no mention of it, to be told they were hoping to have them in October. More excellent customer service.

It looks like the players are getting used to the system, and their roles in it. 4-4-2 on Saturday then I expect.

Still not sure if you are a parody account or just a knuckle-dragging moron. Or possibly both… very tedious either way.

He was on the pitch on Saturday Andrew helping with the warm-up, did you not go? What do you want him to do?

Under the embargo rules we are allowed to ‘squad up’ to a maximum of 23 players of ‘a professional standard’, which means they have played at least one first team game. How many of the kids actually made it onto the pitch last season, Jessop, Pugh, any others=?? .Plenty or room in the squad, if there is any desire from those in charge to fill the gaps. If Bunn and Thompson sign are we looking at last-minute loans to bring the numbers up??

Was there ever any concrete figure for how much the budget was going to be cut by? If, as I have read the U-23 set up represented around 20% of the whole budget won’t the removal of this account for the majority of the budget reduction? As Les says, the average wage at this level isn’t huge, and there will be a lot of decent (for this level) players out there available on a free as everyone seems to be offloading players.

Thought I had put the link in there but doesn’t seem to have worked, guessing Abo must have told Look North, and they didn’t clear with the club if it was public knowledge yet. Not very professional all round tbh.

Agreed, Barks looked the part in the u23s last season, got to be worth a look.Jessop at least looked lively the other day, may as well look to next season, find out if they will be up to it now rather than losing points we need next season.

Cassidy I think his loan terms allow him to play for our U23s as well.
