Well as CT typed if it’s 541 after recent improvement playing 442 then Cox has no excuse if it goes wrong. Gives the wrong impression and a boost to the opposition.

It could be worse BLT but we may still match or beat that record in the coming league games. Defensively as a unit we are truly shocking and that has got to improve or we all know the outcome.

I seem to think it was an 11am KO which also had on a couple of occasions that season. Marples always seemed to play well against us when at York so I thought he’d be a good signing….didn’t pan out that way.

I think Marples was sent off after an hour of his debut CT. V Burnley (?) and it was probably Dave Hill who took over between the sticks for the rest of game but MM may correct me.

Does look like 541 unless someone is partnering Jarvis upfront. Maybe Taylor will be an advanced/attacking midfielder. It’s the FB/WB areas that concern me considering how many crosses we let come into our box.

Given past performances of this and last season it’s probably another 20 odd games (I could be being generous) until Watson gives a MOM performance. So before we’ve kicked off the opposition will be thinking there’s goals to be scored against us…..and they aren’t wrong!! Our forwards know they’ve got to score several times to have a chance of getting anything for the game and going on our shot count per game that’s not a realistic expectation. If we concede inside 10 mins it could get v messy. Sadly any enthusiasm for the season has already dwindled away. I think I’ve been positive in the prediction league of only forecasting a 3-1 defeat!!

I know he was involved in at least one incident whilst playing for Crewe which I think even made the national press. It may explain why his game time has been limited this season. It will make him less attractive to other clubs who may have been looking at him, although as Les pointed out it’s been a while since he played consistently well.

Given what signings and exodus of players has taken place, the way the club has set out it’s plan of younger players and the very little bit of action I’ve seen then I’ll go for between 15th-18th. I’ve still got my doubts about a couple of positions and would prefer more experience in the team overall, especially as Kev out for a lengthy period and Clarke’s past fitness record being patchy at best.

I don’t know what formation we will start with but understand what Cox has done pre-season in giving all uninjured players game time. I would like us to not concentrate on opposition tactics too much. Play attacking football and be on the front foot straight from the off.

Harrogate will be playing their “home” games at the Keepmoat whilst they replace the 3G pitch. So for a new ground visit we need it to be a later in the season game.

Sadly we have been here before all too frequently in recent times NI. However if this pending appointment goes wrong then it will leave us in all probability of being a non-league team in 9/10mths time.
