When’s the Hotel in Blackpool opening ?
Last I read it was now Autumn 2022 as still wanted fitting out.
This will be costing Coolsilk a fortune as it should have been open a long time ago and building costs and materials are going up all the time.Time for more some more protests !
Did nt realise we had already had some !Do you really think he is interested ?
Will put minimum in to get maximum out when we fold !To be replaced by a 19 who’s not played League Football if rumours are true.
Bristol Fan said fee was £50 K.1 user thanked author for this post.
How’s the work coming along on the Ground redevelopment and the new apartments ?

Every Copper in Humberside having a bit of overtime.
There was even a ‘ Humberside Marine Section Car ‘ there !
As for all the Police standing in front of the walls second half , what was that all about !
The Club pay for every Police Officer inside the Ground.
I think Humberside are busing them in to make money.
It’s about time someone looked at what’s going on with this lot !1 user thanked author for this post.
Because they are paying them £2000 -£3000 a week !
Went to the Meeting and Swann totally focused on getting the missing 1000 back.
I m also not impressed with what’s going on to attract people back who they are convinced don’t come mainly from Covid related reasons.
Seem to pinning a lot of hope on this survey but when asked how many had replied no one seemed certain ! Then 400 mentioned but survey still open.
When suggestions put forward to attract new fans there always seemed a reason why they could nt do it. It might have been an idea if one of the Team with Mr Swann had taken notes of suggestions put to them !
Not doing this gives the impression not really interested in what was said to them! Mind you the Meeting was half over before the other 3 were introduced and that was only after someone asked who they were !
They did not seem to grasp or want to that there are a lot of other factors besides Covid that have lost the 1000 fans.
Hill turning this lot into a Football Team seems to be their plan
The Meeting was told by Mr Swann that something is happening at Board Level in the next couple of weeks.I certainly won’t be brainwashed by him that’s for sure !
I ve took him up on the offer.
Should be an interesting hour or so.1 user thanked author for this post.
Swann thinks that the 1000 less fans is all down to performances but despite the bad performances a lot of fans saying that it is due to the issue of Coolsilk taking the land into their ownership and the Chairman.
He just can’t understand it !6 users thanked author for this post.
Was at the game last night.
We looked ok up until Cox subbed Scrimshaw for another mid field player.
After that it was just a matter of time before they scored as we hardly went out of our own half.
Their Keeper seemed reluctant in the 2nd half to kick the ball out due to possible the windy conditions but we allowed him to play it out short every time to one of the wing backs.
No pressure put on them at all and then Barrow allowed to bring the ball forward as our players just backed off deeper and deeper.
Change of momentum down to Cox substitution which let Barrow take control not just of the game but the whole pitch.
At one stage in second half there was an occasion when Barrow had a group of 5 of their players wide on the left hand side in our half without an Iron player near them as we were just backing off.
The Manager then comes up with sickness excuse , makes a change from the usual ones !
The Subs running up and down the touch line in front of us did nt look ill ! So if we really had ill players on the pitch surely it would have been better to play the fit ones !
Don’t believe a word the Chairman ever says and beginning to have doubts about Cox and his excuses1 user thanked author for this post.
These 30 shareholder meetings are to try and split the fans.
These Shareholders want to remember that it was not many years ago he tried to get rid of them all !
You can only judge a person on what they have done not what they say they are going to.
In our Chairman’s case nothing he has said such as new ground , apartments , upgrade of present ground has come to fruition.
The only thing that has happened is that he’s left the Club without a single asset apart from the name since he transferred all the land etc to Coolsilk.
Now to try and prevent any protests etc all of a sudden he says he will give it back !
Seems to me the only thing our Chairman is worried about is bad publicity and the National media getting hold of all this.
Begging fans to return and not going himself speaks volumes !5 users thanked author for this post.
14 Days ! He’s had years !
I think Mr Swann and the Club are that deep in the mire.
With his track record of what he SAYS he is going to do and nothing changes in fact it gets worse year after year then why should this total change of direction be believed.
I think this new change of direction comes to try and stop the protests and boycotts.
Also to divide is to conquer and by having the shareholders to meetings in small groups is possibly to divide the fans.
Obviously the Season Ticket Holders and Fans don’t matter ! We don’t even get a Forum any more.4 users thanked author for this post.
Cox is nt going anywhere for one reason and that’s because Swann has no money to pay him off or employ a new Manager.
Cox will be here until the end of the SeasonIf Swann goes the Club will not last the Season out.
If he stays we are doomed.
Not much of a choice.4 users thanked author for this post.
Lillis is the Assistant Manager and he just stood there on Saturday doing nothing most of the game and McMahon was doing all the instructions etc to players.
So what is the role of Mark Lillis. Was he brought back because previously a fans favourite and full of enthusiasm. Was he brought back by Swann to try and get fans on side.
I m very sorry to say that he seems to have very little input on match days.So the Club go cashless.
Half time on Saturday and a queue at the kiosk in the Main Stand and one of the Card Scanners wanted a new roll of paper in to print payments.
Two young kids serving with one scanner working whilst other lady spent the best part of 10 minutes trying to put a new roll of paper in the machine !
It’s ok the Club going cashless but suggest they train the staff how to use / service the machines.
Nothing alters for the better at Glanny Park.1 user thanked author for this post.
It’s as if the Club are trying to run everything down to make it a match day experience to forget
Not been in the Iron Bar for ages so cannot comment but the rest of the catering seem run down and the state of the ground and surrounding areas is terrible.
May be trying to get the crowds down so they can say we tried but the town is not supporting us.
As it says in the link it will cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to clean the hotel when it opens but they not prepared to clean a few seats etc at the ground. Says it all really.
Even if all this was sorted we are left with a Team that is hardly going to bring fans flocking back !
Supported the Iron for over 60 years but don’t think I will have a Team to watch in the very near future.4 users thanked author for this post.
The food kiosk at the away end in the main stand at half time seemed to have virtually no customers.
The Club seem they don’t want to make money.
I wonder why ?Staffy was a programme seller , turnstile operator , 50-50 tickets etc. Got paid for them all.
Infact he’s been on the Iron payroll in some form since the 60s.
Told he always got free bus travel and free away match ticket.
First time he does not get free travel and ticket he does not go.
Call him a top fan !
The over 400 fans who had to pay for travel and tickets yesterday are top fans not someone who stops going once his freebies are stopped.Have things over the years improved ?
Have things over the years got worse ? Yes
Fans Forums turned in a joke and no one listened too. Only held because of EFL Rules.
Just another smoke screen so the Club can say they meet with supporters.1 user thanked author for this post.
This ‘ Agreed Statement ‘ seems a long time coming !
I hope the Fans Organisations are nt letting the Chairman dictate terms !1 user thanked author for this post.
I hope this ‘ agreed statement ‘ is not one the Fans Groups are railroaded into !
I would much rather and hopefully receive an account from the Trust of what happened in their words !The Trust always update the Members on what has happened.
It is one person representing all the Members.
They are not there as an individual but representing all the MembersSounds like a complete and utter shambles on and off the field.
Seems like some players take no notice of what he wants !
Showed his lack of experience by being interviewed whilst still angry.
Don’t think after this outburst it will improve things as most of them won’t be here next season anyway.I think the Chairman could have handled the reply about the old fan who’s been going since 1948 a lot better.
But does nt this sum up how the fans are treated at Glanny Park and shows the real attitude between the Club and the Fans.
Instead of the reply he gave would nt a good PR answer of been something like ‘ I m sorry how you feel at the moment especially after supporting the Club for over 70 years. Please come as the Clubs guest at the first game back ‘13 users thanked author for this post.
Just as well for Cox and Swann that there are no fans at games.
