Not big enough though I agree they are good facilities.
Fantastic 2700 Iron fans turned up to watch v Woking, considering what has been served up for the last few years and the current state of affairs.
It’s a privilege to stand/sit with you all.
Two different but very reliable sources. For obvious reasons I cannot name them.
Talks have been held with Gainsborough Trinity about a possible ground share.
You would like to think so!
But should Ernest not sell, and it’s nearly a year or so since he put the club up for sale and having turned down offers already does anybody believe he actually wants to sell.
So a nice tidy formality, fails to sell, liquidates and the next day the bulldozers move in, because the planning was just that a formality.
Sorry but the club and fans have been stung once too often for something just to be a formality as far as Ernest is concerned.

It’s a timing issue.
In the week the club recieved a winding up order from HMRC, the owner who wants out puts in for planning to develope the assets which he is actually trying to sell.
Any new owners might want a different type of development altogether.
At 73 he deserves his nap.

CMC,I am not sure if that’s praise or not!
I am sure it warmed Ernest to the core! Can anyone shed some light on this?
I wished I had a ‘pot to piss in’ to make a bid.
Yes the bookies do know something we don’t, that’s why they always win and the “mug punters” lose.
Heard recently about a real mug losing millions and not even knowing he had even placed the bets.
I bet when he learned of this folly he took off faster than an Apollo space rocket.

Having read your other post Sir Nic might be a useful Allie too.
Always amazes me it is always somebody else’s job to do something.
Why don’t you NLI’s organise a campaign and get all the supporters clubs involved, and maybe our club president too!
Currently working with Bolton and Coventry.
We are utter crap and going down, you cannot polish a turd though many on bru try.
Our club is rotten to the core thanks to one egotistical non accountable #### in charge.
The players are to a man not good enough, the non takeover will not make better either nor would it make Nelson a manager.
Apollo counter suing Ernest now for another £200,000.
Talk about mug punter. I bet the real winners wear gowns and wigs!
Brilliant footballer and great embassador for football, a true gentleman.
Unlike other South American players one could mention.
Surely there is only one in and one out we all desire?
‘Ernest played by Jonny Vegas or Matt Lucas’
I wouldn’t wish that part on either em!
Googled short, fat, British comedian!

Ernest has a statement out justifying it is not his fault he was vulnerable, right then Ernest OUR club is vulnerable and has been exploited at a difficult time in its life, and still is being.
As you wish to take a stand against injustice, sell up to Messer’s Sharp and Elliot and end a massive exploitation of a good few thousand (was a few more at one time) and ease their exploitation and sense of injustice.
Once you are gone you will have all the respect you crave and will be seldom mentioned nor cared about. You will to satisfy your immense ego however hold a very special niche in the history of Scunthorpe United FC.

or nurses, or ambulance drivers or posties, or driving instructors, or teachers. Or multi-millionaire cabinet ministers.

One should feel sorry for him after all it is a mental illness.
Don’t like to see any addictions whether it be drugs, nicotine, alcohol or gambling, nor do I like to see people being conned.
Nor do I like to see people turn up to work not knowing if they will be paid that month or even have a job the month after.
Nor do I like to see injustice, especially against the ‘little man’ by the ‘big man’.
Nor do I like liars and thieves.

“He is still refusing to take any responsibility”
Never a truer word written, the man racks up huge gambling debts on the never never without ever seeing the terms and conditions, doesn’t know there is a self exclusion clause, then finds out he has been set-up and deliberately targeted as a mug, by a man with prison form who is trying to work out how much commission he should have made out of Ernest.
Ernest then breaks the golden gamblers rule of not chasing debts, oh dear he also bet on credit. Ernest has also paid out vast amounts of money to cover the debts he racked up but never questioned them, bet on anything that moved, and didn’t realise that at any time he could actually say no!
I hope Mr Sharp makes a film of this, with Chris Fairbrass and Vinny Jones as the Apollo people with Ernest played by Jonny Vegas or Matt Lucas. With all the film profits going to buy our football club.
As an aside I hope that a fellow Iron from the legal profession can turn the tables and use Ernest’s legal tactics and claims against the man himself!

Maybe Ernest is holding out for more money to help pay his legal fees and/or gambling debts!
The non-sale saga continues! From a done deal to nothing, so what is the stumbling block?
As if we cannot guess.

We all knew when Ernest uttered the words …..”I want to be a responsible seller” that he would be anything but.
I am afraid it’s goodbye to the Iron, and NCEL as FC Scunthorpe United here we come.
1) So you can decide what goes there in the future.
2) Could be integral to any future ground development plans.
3) More importantly it gets rid of Ernest 100%.

It is my understanding that any deal when completed will be for the whole lot.
Only two footballers at the club for me Butterfield and Nuttall. I would happily drive any of the others to their next club.
Got to go I’m afraid. With a game plan of sitting back and letting them play their passing game.
What a Wally!

Very busy in the GP area, is it returning Iron fans? Magpies or Xmas shoppers at M&S?
Probably a combination of all 3.
Isn’t he sponsoring the ground naming anymore?
It hasn’t been the Sandpit stadium all season, the naming rights were to pay the EFL debt, which the new owners will now have to pay-off also.
