    Thus far only draws.

In the league before someone pounces on the cup defeats!

Seems to be some doubt on other threads about the teams performance since Keith Hill took over.

Thus far only draws, but the players can play for 90+ minutes are physically and mentally fitter, with those who do not wish to play for the Iron being left on the side lines soon to be departed.

Those negative types no longer dominate the dressing room. As Jai Rowe said on RH the squad is a lot happier playing under Keith Hill.

Hopefully the damage by that noodle Cox can be undone and we can stave off relegation.

Thought we had enough strikers (using the word in the very loosest of senses) who had questionable injury records?

    Reference Cameron Wilson,

I have spoken to sources inside the club and Wilson is a very good prospect, apparently Mr Cox wanted to start Cameron Wilson but the cap on players due to the EFL embargo meant he could not start a game as we have used up the quota of those considered to be ‘established players’.

I might have been tempted to give O’no Neil 2 minutes game time to double his season total then sub him immediately for a youngster of our own!

Every one keeps banging on about Wilson, I saw him play the first half v Man City and he did not strike me as anything special. Other young lads in that game aquitted themselves much better.

It was against some of the countries best youngsters what do you expect?!

    Dear Steve

I was referencing him to our own youngsters v Man City and was watching keenly due to the hype he generates. He also failed to impress me in one of the pre-season friendlies.

I might be proved wrong about him (and hope I am) but when many others make claims and demand he be played in the first team I expect something special.

Kilmore, Cowling, Pointon, Cox, Hall Alexander were all 17-18 year olds who came through our ranks and had that something special.

Loft thinks he is better than he actually is.

Hill is demanding high standards in training and told shareholders some players would resist his regime and they would be weeded out.

Look Simon stood on the terraces as a supporter long before he became a director. Made his way in business and actually wants to come back on the board.

Well done Simon and Mr Pawn for making the appointment.

His head is in the lofty heights of thinking he is a good footballer.

That may be true. But is he a good professional footballer?

Does his return of 2 goals suggest his talents lie elsewhere? Does he create, does he finish?

Does his name, nay will his name appear up there with Torpey, Green, Lumby, kilmore, Gayle, Flounders, Daws, Sharp, Keogh, Hooper, Cowling, Cammack.

    Will it ###k

Mick the problems were apparent last season, but nobody was looking less those who subscribed to i-player.

Then in the summer any iota of talent was shipped out. Whether it was finances or the worst manager ever being unable to manage them we may never know.

We finished very poorly last season and the summer transfers did not spark any enthusiasm except from those who would find plusses with a 3 legged donkey in a claret and blue blanket playing upfront.

The minor revival last season was when those creative players produced the goods. We no longer have any creativity.

All we are left with is poor players who cant even make up for being shit with hard graft and enthusiasm.

Old keiths task is a mammoth one of gregarious proportions. Our only hope is the January transfer window and somebody who can put the ball in the net.

I would rather see one of Tom Eaves old boots with a sawn off broom shaft sticking out the top and a sock on it than watch O’no Neill meander around the grass area like a Neanderthal cow on a double dose of diazepam washed down with gin.

Concept idea when it started as the Associate Members Cup back in the OSG days was to give lower league clubs the opportunity to reach a Wembley final.

Once Premier League clubs U23 and U21 sides were allowed in it killed the reason for its own existance and the move has not benefitted EFL clubs one iota.

Its now sponsored by a fast food take away company and thats what they might as well do ……. Take it away.

Unfortunately after watching on Saturday v the worst Doncaster team I have ever seen the Cox legacy will take a long time to eradicate.

We have no goals in the team. Poor keith faces an up-Hill battle.

Cheered myself up writing it whist hurting over the Colchester 5th minute all 11 in the box goal and subsequent defeat after 14 mins.

    The replies made me chuckle!

Been a bit miserable being a scunny fan of late then PS sacks the manager and suddenly …..It was Mr Cox after all.

The next un-masking will either re open the theme park or take us on a mystery machine tour of really strange places.

Add another 26 years mate and I agree about the lowest point.

We need somebody who wants to play attacking football and gets the players to go out onto the pitch without fear of defeat and lets them play.

We ain’t done yet!!!!!…. and like the mob down the road who blindly and lovingly followed Hollowbrain into the abyss we haven’t done that with Coxy even though he is one of us.

I would support any manager who gives it a go and we might as well go with a bang not a whimper.

    Up the Iron.

Far too negative. Had to go. We would never have survived playing 11 men in our own box and having 20% of the play.

The worst manager since Dickie Rooks 74-76.

Stuck doggedly to tactics that will never work even for the great Sir Alex.

Nice but dim. Got to go Neil you are a massive negative and you play in your own 18 yard box, nobody but nobody scores regularly from inside their own half.

You have taken negativity to a new level we do not defend in our own half, WE defend in our own 18 yard box, a bit like pinball wizard.

The best form of defence is attack………………turn your drawings upside down we might see an attacking team.

5-3-2 presented as 3-5-2 descends into chaos. The opposition always have an overlap as our 2 wide wingbacks feel it is their duty to cover the 3 centre backs who are usually marking 2 forwards between them (very badly I might add).

Thus leaving us deficient in midfield. Away at Barrow the ‘Boys own tactical handbook’ handed out with Topper magazine in 1974 suggested at halftime to bolster the midfield by reverting to 4 across the back and pushing the 5th defender or substitute into the midfield area.

Lex Icon read it upside down taking a striker off and adding to the midfield thus creating 5-4-1 and playing all eleven men in the box. Loft pushing right out to the edge of our own ‘D’.

Subsequently Topper has been replaced with a more upto date 1976 version of Warlord who highlighted a bad case of the shits which cost us the battle of jing jing whoooo during WW2 when 100,000 Allied troops surrendered to 10,000 Japanese maurauders.

A bit like the Iron at Barrow give or take a few facts.

Lex Icons 4-3-3 would have 5 defenders covering the 3 midfielders just in case one of the 2 strikers was having a bad shift and did not look like scoring.

A poor display away at Barrow with a second half capitulation, virtually every player less the home side goalkeeper in the Iron box when Barrow equalised.

Robbie Gotts and Ollie Banks took the mickey and were not closed down all the second half. The statistics say we had possession for only 19.5% of the game making 167 passes with a 46 % accuracy, Barrow meanwhile made 691 passes 87 % accurate in their 81 % possession.

You cannot win games without the ball. If the squad is good enough as Ernest believes it wont be with this manager.

    Cox has to go NOW…………….

Should we exit the League with one of our own in charge our club would be more of a laughing stock than it is aleady.

The players are running around like headless chickens and cannot do the basics and I mean the real basics like defence, midfield and attack.

That is down to the manager and coaches.

The poor football and focus on the manager is taking the heat off the diddlydonk in charge.

The same diddlydonk who is deliberately running our club (yes its ours again apparently) into the proverbial.

4-0 down at Harrogate after 30 mins.

Its gone from embarrassing to heartbreaking 46 years plus of support and this is the lowest point ever!

Got to go NOW! . He shouldn’t even be allowed to manage the second half.
