Based on the positive feedback of people on here and on FB (I know!!), I thought I’d support TSG & the Club by purchasing a burger.

After queuing for 10 mins I was handed a foil wrapped burger. It had no heat in it at all.

Rather than leave the area, I unwrapped it at the kiosk – and it was stone cold (and I do not mean luke warm). I returned it to the youngster who had served me. He threw it in the bin and said I’ll get you another one. This one was wrapped in front of me, but was still not piping hot and was far from exciting.

The result is that I have, yet again, stopped buying in the ground.

I can not be alone in this decision. How much is the Club losing to external suppliers?

Les didn’t say anywhere that Fitz hadn’t co tributes this season. He has.

However, he does wander around his area a lot and he often loses out, or makes a mistake, when he shouldn’t. Definitely room for improvement.

The hefty profit would have gone to Swann not Michelle, now that wouldn’t do would it. Selling Sharp and Hooper benefited you in what way Ironii.

However you look at it, the money would have gone into the Club. Whatever happened to it after that was down to Swann – and there’s a man that lost a lot of money on his “investment”.

Also, if we had bought Toney we might not be in the situation that we are now, and yes, I know that is mere speculation. He certainly would have made us a better scoring team.

The wall was only 7yards away from the ball. That’s cheating too.

I really wish that we had signed him as we would have received a hefty profit on our investment.

Can we stop with all this “get a grip with reality” and “let’s be happy that we still exist” nonsense.

A bad performance is a bad performance. The players and the manager need to sort themselves out and find a consistent level at which they can perform. They have a long way to go still.

We are all aware of what could have happened, but it doesn’t excuse what we are currently seeing on the pitch.

    “The EU wasn’t all bad”

Allo Allo…. Ornott and Lesgeo repeatedly told us it was!
They did a lot of “careful research” about the “evil empire”, ordered everyone to post it on Facebook, told us we were “taking back control” and pushed the country into a position of epic and often violent stupidity.
Now, we’re all disadvantaged, not least your deaf friends.
It’s time you trumpeted that from your café soapbox, Rene.

We suffered more and more, and paid more and more, the longer we were in the EU. Give it time and we will benefit big time.

It’s bloody terrible isn’t it? I’m not even on the same continent as the team, and I still can’t stream it. The league sure does work hard to make sure there is limited to no access to the teams to watch. I’ll have to catch the highlights later on.

Maybe there’s a challenge to be contested here.

Is this practice in the publics best interest?

If you paid me £100 per game, I still wouldn’t go to watch a Sheff Utd or Nottingham Forest game.

Should football be run by the cartel known as the Premier League or by the FA & EFL?

It’s a restrictive practice. It’s censorship. It’s controlling what should be a free market.

    The EU wasn’t all bad:
“They may also hold back innovation, put companies out of business and deny consumers access to a wide choice of goods and services at reasonable prices.”

    https://competition-policy.ec.europa.eu/index/whistleblower_en

If we want to watch Brackley v Scunthorpe on NLTV… then we should be able to.

Denying us the opportunity to follow our team isn’t going to encourage us to drive all the way to Sheffield or Nottingham to watch Premier League football.

I’ve absolutely no interest in that type of ‘fake football’.

There are many of us whom no longer live in the towns or even in the country of the clubs that we support.
There are many of us who are disabled and aren’t able to travel to watch our favoured team.

If I was deaf, then I wouldn’t be able to listen to the match commentary on the radio.

Doesn’t that breach the Equality Act of 2010 – discriminating against disabled people?

This restrictive practice is detrimental to the finances and very existence of small clubs like ours.
It cuts off a revenue stream and disassociates people from their team.

Maybe the matter requires the Competition and Markets Authority to peruse it?

Why not post on the fishy forum?

I hope that Fitz gets replaced.

He has no idea how to intercept a cross and wanders around the penalty area with no idea where he is when he needs to get back in position. Added to that, his kicking is mainly poor. We need better.

Nobody is asking him to change the way he plays apart from the bit where he throws himself to the ground for no apparent reason.

He may then have a ored over 30 goals so far, and yes someone may come and buy him, but at least we would get some decent cash in.

Everyone can improve, especially at the level we are at.

When we eventually get our ducks in a row, we must look at investing in ways GP can generate money 7 days a week. Soon it will also become a prerequisite in sustaining an EFL club.

I think that’s what Mr Swann intended to do. Let’s hope we are more successful next time.

Maybe you’ll get a reply once new staff are in post? Isn’t James currently undertaking 4 or 5 roles at once, including SLO?

Based on the lack of response, he seems to be doing 4 jobs and ignoring the SLO role?

In an FA Cup game away at Pompey in 2004 – we lost 2-1.
Torps in for us – Sheringham in for them.
Torps was awesome that day – won just about every header and knocked it towards an Iron player.
Sheringham won every challenge he faced – every header straight to the FEET of a team mate.
    Some great footie.
    Sigh.

We deserved more out of that game Les.

Best away support I’ve ever seen that day. We were awesome.

As we are all aware there will be a lot of money saving next season! With that in mind thought I would look more closely at the opposition players from now on with all teams still to play again.

Today thought chorleys no7 and no33 Johnson I think look good and in no 7’s case as good as if not better then we have for a midfield player that gets forward, these players will be on half or even less then then we have now so Would be worth a punt IMO

You can’t assess the quality of a player on a single performance.

Chairwoman just been on radio said dodgy d never paid any bills.

Well knock me down with a feather , who would of thought DH could of been lying ??? again .. suppose now GP is safe and both Swan and Hilts are out the picture the folks in charge whom i might ad actually have the clubs best interests at heart may start to reveal a few more details and this DH didnt pay BOMBSHELL 555555 shock is only the first.

Hoping the next Atheltic article isnt to long away …what you say Itonironiron ??? any comment ??

I think it was glaringly obvious he didn’t pay most bills. I never once said he did. What I do know he paid is HMRC until July (left £120k debt according to hmrc statements from Sept) and wages until and including August, he obviously paid some bills otherwise how did players eat, how did phones and internet stay on, how did the grass grow, how did players get to away games on VIP busses, how did we attract the calibre of player without paying agents. If you add up what we know was paid and what I have evidence of then it’s clear he lost money. Thats all I’ve ever said, he did not make money on our club. But he clearly didn’t act correctly and was a terrible terrible chairman.
Whilst Michelle has worked wonders my concern with her is she sounds a little thick, like words are planted in her mouth and she repeats without fully understanding what she is talking about. What happens when the hand outs stop, we can’t have begging buckets at turnstiles every game it’s embarrassing. What happens when this honeymoon period ends and people are fed up with dipping into their pockets? Especially if we don’t get promoted. I know for a fact the £500k wasn’t raised by directors so she’s already lying to us. The foundation put in the majority and Jane Laws charity.
We have a stadium yes which is great news and on the face of it Michelle is a real Gem but does she have the ability to take us forward long term or is she just riding the wave that inevitably dies. I also heard a big big rumour that is starting to circulate (not from
Hilton but somebody inside the club)
This is about Rob Waltham and the real reason he miraculously found £2.5m in a few weeks. Let’s see if that has any legs. But we are still in choppy waters trust me.
