Revised odds: realised what a sad shallow pitiful sham of an existence my life is and stepped in my own dog’s excrement this morning – mid table at best playing the most unattractive football ever witnessed in any league, ever.
Thats the spirit DM66 5555 … obviously anti optibuzz is catching, or giving it its proper name realism.
Never see anybody reading a paper nowadays.
Every white van I see still has a copy of The Sun on the dashboard!
SUN Page 3 ..if thats still allowed which i doubt very much , let alone the days of the Sunday Sport and all their in depth sporting knowledge show cased by skantily clad young ladies…
I refer readers to an earlier post .. THE GOOD OLD DAYS !!!!!
Shrewd move. Young player starting have a positive effect in games and will start to get noticed and our investment is protected. It also starts to build the squad for th 2025 – 2026 season.
Agree a good bit of bizz by the board IMO .. maybe some NL L2 sniffers already.
Who else in the current squad do you think is worth an extension ? im assuming with Scales getting a deal maybe others will be knocking on ABs door.
Top 2 finish
Top 12 finish … ok ok the SUFC optibuzz is catching … top 7
Never see anybody reading a paper nowadays too busy head stuck in their phones on SM tik toking etc…is google really my friend ??
Im fortunate to be old enough to fondly remember the days before the internet and all it has inflicted on us and also the days where there were only two birth genders, way less whinging and generally folks got on with each other.
Great start to the season for Scunny and a few others… long may the 3 points keep coming however it plays out.
Reading the prediction thread on the SUFC Fans FB page and as ever most predicting an Iron win ..some emphatic others closer, i went for a draw (again).
Im not sure but i do get the impression SOME fans are either
1. swayed by the claret n blue glasses
2. generally over optimistic when predicting every game
3 assume rightly or wrongly we are better than we are
4 forget there are at least REALISTICALLY half the teams in this nasty league who could win the title ala Tamworth of which we are one.. im guessing the likes of Rushall Petboro sports etc are at best mid table along with others.
5 are on meds
6. forgot to take their meds
7 taking too much emphasis and optimism from the first 3 rather hot n cold performances
8. blindly loyal
9 absolutely correct in their judgement
10 hoping to get lucky as at NM (soft pen and hanging on)Hoping to see Charlton Saturday and twill be very interesting to see how the team line up next 2 fixtures.
Lets revisit the odds after 10 games im guessing there will be 5 or 6 clubs within a the 7/1 , 4/1 , 7/2 range.

Things will become a whole lot clearer as to where we are after the next 4 fixtures..
Chorley ..always decent n there or there abouts come April.
SS .. same as above and our seeming dislike for getting points in the NE
Kiddy .. dropped from NL and 3 wins to start the season conceding only 1 goal.
Curzon .. bit of a bogey side if i recall correct and aslo won all 3 games so far.My two to watch Buxton and Scarboro
Not sure whose place Charlton would take ..he may even come off the bench , with a game Saturday n Monday i would fully expect to see him start v Chorley also Shrimpton has to figure in one of these two fixtures surely.
Shrimpton and Campbell the only two from the whole squad not be involved at all as yet if im not mistaken.
Pleased to see the hype from the first two fixtures has moved more into reality .. in truth yes its a great start to the season but performances so far havent been great and IMO last night lucky to get away with the 3 points.
Im hoping Charlton can bring us more spark up front as didnt look like scoring in open play last night and i hope thats down to the team and formation not gelling yet.Buxton my surprise package won again and Kiddy/Scarboro are looking menacingly decent.
We will know more after the next 3 games and August is done
1-1
I’d take Whitehall over Beestin every single day of the week, if people honestly think that Beestin played brilliantly Saturday then more fool them… he contributed far less than Whitehall did (over the full 90) yet he’s getting a chunk of undeserved praise!!!
I couldn’t award many players more than a 6 out of 10 on Saturday… not trying to be negative but the performance for 60 minutes was absolutely awful.
Rowley in for Clunan and Brogan in for Roberts for me, But I’d ideally go 4-4-2 and switch it up a bit more.
At least we’ve got plenty of options!!Agree
i understand a great 3-0 win against a dogged opponent but im not getting all the hype about the actual performance it wasnt that great, first half except the goal was dire improvement second half way better more dominant especially later on as Marine tired. The preview programming 1400 to 1500 is playing ok here

Sorry Plym, accidentally deleted your post (its gone a bit over sensitive today I think) but I think you shared this one which hopefully works outside the region come 3pm. Thanks
That link is from March D66 ..
Ive got music on Sounds now with local football previews starting at 1400 hrs in 3 mins .. last week via this route the game commentary was blocked and a message not available in your location.
i will drop the direct link if it ok
Anyone found a commentary link for today that will work outside the region please?
On it now D66 ..as yet no , the usual route is blocked.

i was hoping Braithwaite would get signed full time as IMO he had done enough .. suppose this dual gig (however it works) is a better option than loosing the lad to another club in NLN.
Obviously Duffus didnt cut the mustard and turned out to be a Duff ..us , ILL GET MI COAT!!
Marine are a decent side well organised enough to beat Macclesfield in the playoffs
New kits are great home by personal favourite.
All the work by the volunteers around the club needs applauding.
Hopefully we finish ONE place higher than last season UTIAgree entirely ..
hope the volunteers are announced by name before KO or at half time.
Kits are all awesome…home also my fav but the third is a very close second .. strange really as the yellow was the last shirt i bought and wore it at Wembley 99 before emigrating.
Fingers crossed the Iron can nail top spot ..its gonna be along hard season and IMO the NLN is increasing quality wise by the year so every missed year makes it harder.. i think there could well be a coupe of surprise packages this season in the mix with the favourites already predicted by many.
I have watched a few YT NLN prediction vids and most have Scunny top 2.. except one rather strange chap Rams?? who has Needham Mkt as champs and Scunny 18th and the reasons he gave for this low place were astounding , obviously knows naff all about the current SUFC as opposed to the old version turmoil n all, even reckons AB is out his depth !! .. we shall see.Hope all attending have a great day , always special first home game of a season fingers crossed for another 3 points come 5pm.

With 99.9% of SUFC fans predicting a big win tomorrow ( some crazy scores on the Fans FB page)
i hope the Iron dont under estimate Marine as they are an excellent well organized outfit… it seems the manager is drilling this into the players and must say another balanced interview by AB.Looking forward to see the starting line up tomorrow and also if necessary his in game system and adapting of tactics depending on how Marine choose to set up and play.
Over 5k would be great but cant see that , and im sticking with my very unpopular tight 1-0 win.
All 3 kits are fantastic…well done to all involved in their creation and launch.

be carfull .. 2 tier SUFC
What about the kids who want photos with players??
Totally unknowm i reckon we will get turned over 1-0 .. which will selence a crowd of over 4k
Just watched their highlights, how did we win that we were never in it apart from two or three group huddles.
Made me chuckle only showing the goal celebrations not the goals ..
i did notice Fitz seems quite portly , chunky , after training pint n a pork pie fetish perhaps.. no worries if he keeps playing like that all season.
Brackley TV … a tad one sided perhaps
Ar yes forgot about Mr H …. just the pool player then LOL
I wonder if Mr Sharp has ideas for a new short film?
A Takeaway owner, An Accountant, A Pool player and a Drug courier befriend a Convicted Criminal and a Used Car Salesman.
Could Rival Welcome to Wrexham.
I’ll start the crowdfunder…
LOL … i can see an Oscar nomination in the future.
Whose the Pool player and alleged drug runner ??? lost me there CMC
Goal highlights for anyone interested.
On the topic of our ex-manager, has this exciting young manager been snapped up by another club this summer?
If/When things go pear shaped at Peterboro Sports im sure JD will be back there in a flash.. unless hes snapped up before.. Remember the England job is up for grabs he may be in the frame for that also.

Talking about subs I just remembered something I noticed. All subbed players interacted with Butler when coming off except Whitehall when he and Butler seemed to ignore each other. Trouble at t’mill? I hope not.
good spot cass maybe sulking cos got subbed. Another thing i noticed take a look at the players on the pitch at the end celebrating applauding the fans on the club FB page .. it seemed like Fishburn went to high five Roberts n both awkwardly pulled out.. just seemed odd.
Whitehall wasn’t really at the races yesterday. I hope he improves for his sake because if he doesn’t we’ll be seeing Carlton and Beestin up top. Roberts looked really awkward and out of place playing centrally, it may be a problem trying to make room for him in this formation.
I’d start Brogan there personally, we need him on the pitch right from the off.
Whall has had a poor pre season, some saying he played ok yesterday other stating otherwise.. hope his heart is in the club and the season to come.
Seems from reports the whole team played well … though its very pleasing to see the newbies all being singled out for praise and doing so well, hopefully Charlton will do the same now his surprising suspension is done which according to AB came out the blue via a Friday phone call…never realized they carried on over a season.
Re the “last two – Dean n Hilts” i think its pretty much guaranteed for whatever reason and there were some players that just didnt want to be here and play jimmy ball so lets hope everyone is on the same page this season … it certainly does look as though they are.
