Can i assume from the many toilet talk comments not many grounds actually have a sit down WC FOR A NUMBER 2 ??? let alone quilted scented tissue for those sensitive spots.
As info.. here whilst we may be slightly behind the Western world in some ways every water closet has a water bum blaster gun so a very clean end product after which its just a gentle dab and yer on yer way.
** APOLOGIES IF ANYONE IS JUST HAVING A SAUSAGE BAP FOR BREAKFAST
The complete disaster would be not gaining promotion, did for Jimmy last season should do the same if Butler fails this season.
After the last months performances today’s decision offers what assurances to fans exactly,
Already proved by giving jimmy his extension a lack of judgement you win f all in January, reward success of course but why anything else.IMO this decision is a tad premature especially looking at the recent unconvincing performances.. YES i know we are top ov the league BLA BLA BLA but if we dont change things and shape up we wont be there much longer.. desperately need a coupe of signings one has to be a striker as couldnt hit a pigs arse with a shovel at the moment.
I also tend to agree with 414 re LT .. signings havent been good to date and if his salary was production based he would owe the club money.. job for the boys ???
Wait to see how AB lines up at home today … more so players reaction to last 2 games which have been abysmal.
Att 4,726
score 1-1All this toilet talk only mentions urinating … what happens if one desperately needs a number 2 ??
Yes but the players trained well this week … i have never heard any manager say … we have had a terrible weeks training.
There was a time when playing Newcastle, Oxford, Peterborough meant we actually played Newcastle, Oxford, Peterborough
Good spot IA.. nowadays is more likely to be
Horncastle
Sleeford

not good scenes at the final whistle .. but to be expected after such a poor performance against a team in a lower league and with 10 men for a quarter of the game… could well effect attendances both home and traveling fans time will tell.
Another un convincing display v Oxford on Saturday and bad vibes will spread … im sure Roberts may well be on his toes EovC if things go pear shaped.
Real shame 748 away fans in a crowd of circa 1300 going home well n truly let down and pissed off.
i see all the “concentrate on the league” crew are in full swing on the FB pages 5555555 .. as if we will win the league performing like the last few games.. dreaming

change the thread tile OUT THE CUP
VERY POOR SHOWING so endeth the scunny fa cup run … cant beat a 10 man Guiseley side ..WTF has happened to the team that beat Brackley and Kiddy ??
Excellent GR commentary enhanced with a live chat .. something SUFC should copy if contractually allowed ..

Like your set up IFA but doubt Butler will.
Having learned (I hope) from the Newcastle tie I expect Fitz to start. Nicholson (ex Guiseley and long throw) in for The Fish and we might not be far away.Yes my bad i should have found space for Nicholson .. possibly for Kelly who is coming back from another injury..
What about a score prediction Cass ??
Whilst your list may be true AWG, I believe that board have acted with the best interests of the club at heart, in terms of trying to boost income and raise as much cash as possible to clear the debt mountain and we shouldn’t criticise too harshly.
For me their biggest mistake make so far is the failure to appoint a proven manager and settling for the budget option when perhaps a little more should have been invested into what’s arguably the single most important part of our entire operation. Though in their defence, I’m sure they were guided by Lee Turnbull, head of our recruitment, who is lucky to still be stealing a wage and our latest recruits are proving why he’s well past his sell by date.Possibly a tad harsh on AB and cant fault what Michelle and the Board have and are achieving …otherwise a true and accurate assessment especially re LT .
I tend to treat the sponsorship sales in a more light hearted manner , it does smack of piss taking but collecting the donors dosh and smiling is great if they are happy to part with it for the latest sponsorship gig Mr Sparks / the Club dream up and manage to get over the line then take it no arms is being twisted or family held to ransom…im sure the hard working Mr Sparks must fly up in the middle of the night and write ideas down such is his diligence.
I fully understand the need for the current sponsorship crusade though am hoping the strategy will at some point ease when the club is debt free and back on a sustainable footing
The business community of Scunthorpe who have and continue to offer goods and or services FOC or for match tickets deserve a mention as much as the sponsors and im pleased to see for the most part they do also the marvelous volunteers.
Dare i say im waiting to grab Stu Maws claret n Blue match worn Y fronts at any price,a quick rinse and make a lovely shade sail for my tomato plants.

I don’t think the 5-0 victory against Newcastle can be attributed to the Scarborough defeat. Poor selection and tactics put paid to our undefeated start. We weren’t playing great in the league for a few games prior to the defeat.
Yep .. league performances have been unconvincing to say the least and IMO a tad lucky to be where we are, if things dont change top spot will be lost to one of the current chasers and with Chester on fire and also playing us soon it may well be them.
Agree with Rene getting out this league has to to be the priority, a cup run may be welcome but for sure a distraction and big risk of more injuries with the extra games and possible replays etc… imagine Roberts , Fitz or any other key players getting crocked in a cup qualifying game and being out for a lengthy period NO THANKS.
Send the club an email Rene just in case they have missed ALL YOUR POSTS that young Poulter is free and advertising himself… might be worth a punt IMO as desperately need some one who knows where the goal is and how to direct it round a keeper not straight at him Ala “skip” Clunan

Apple crumble cheesecake ffs. Who’d have ever thought you’d see that being sponsored.
Start spending some of the sponsorship money starting with the men’s bogs in the Dre like walking through a bog the amount of piss on the floor. When i read the food n drink sponsorship for the up n coming shindig with the chair i had to do a double take and immediately thought of this thread.. there must come a point where the sponsorship crusade has to slow and fade (until next season)yet as i type the bog seats remain un sponsored and up for grabs thos tho the though of wading through all that piss to cut the ribbon isnt appealing.
On a slightly different light hearted note super fan and all round good egg Stuart Maw is auctioning his SUFC watch currently a bid of 5p is taking it as no reserve mentioned so get in there guys ..i am fully expecting future auction items to include a pair of his match worn underpants signed front n back which should get snapped up and framed for posterity.
Joking aside I do find it a tricky scenario, short term gain, cheapening of a product with a lack of long term strategy (and no doubt needed to settle debts) v a tempering of the need to sponsor everything, the commercial manager should take care of the product being offered, there comes a tipping point in the strategy (or lack of) that other things get forgotten whilst rushing around for money. By rights the grove wharf stand should’ve been closed on the opening home game, no lights and no running water in the toilets. Getting a local company to sort stuff like that out for a few match tickets is sound business. Charging £20 to read out a message for a young fan is commercially reckless, and when you chase the money like that you might treat those less able to offer financial support more dismissively.
Totally agree …

IMO things like birthday shout outs etc should be free as a goodwill gesture how the fans have rallied around to get the club back from the brink.
Without doubt Mr Sparks has done a great job re coming up with both things to sponsor and sweet talking sponsors to actually pay for them there cant be a lot left to sponsor though im sure hes trying
( AAGP bog seats sponsored by TURD Co Ltd (Tarmac United Roads n Drives).Possibly sponsor a sponsor for sponsoring ????
i do hope LT AB whoever at SUFC are searching the loan market for a striker.. Fishburn Roberts and Beestin wont be the answer whilst Charlton n Whall are out… having watched back the Scarboro game Roberts did have a couple of decent chances , Fishburn one without success …
The Clunan miss was a howler i could of scored that wearing hob nail boots and a tutu terrible miss…saying that Bennet missed aan equally bad sitter for them late on as well.“Warrington Town can confirm it has accepted the resignation of Mark Beesley from his role as manager.”
Seemed to know what he was doing at the AA and players clearly doing what he wanted.
Another job lined up maybe?Bit of a shock that … i thought Beesley is a decent manager at this level .. resigning does hint towards either him feeling not being supported by the club or another job offer on the table.
As far as worst SUFC full time managers in my recollection / memory i would go
Hill being the worst…closely followed by Cox and Dean
Love to draw Spalding FC for a cup fixture at some point in the future
I believe the bog seats are still un sponsored, i did enquire last season but obviously my idea went down the pan….. there cannot be many more things left toooo sponsor.. and IMO we are already over the cusp of over sponsorship which may well be seen as piss taking if it carries on and on and on

Ugly, defensive and very direct long ball under Butler? Who’da thunk it!!
Jokes aside our league performances have been very poor of late and we are hiding behind the guise of our league position, when in reality, we’ve had only a couple of convincing wins and undeservedly scraped a fair few results.
What’s most alarming is just our abysmal our passing is this season. The stuff of nightmares and genuinely wouldn’t look out of a place on a Sunday morning. Considering the football we were playing last season with 10/11 of our starting 11, how have we lost the ability to make simple passes? These are the same players that were dominating possession last season and were criticised for being too ‘tippy tappy’. Now they can’t ‘tip or tap’ to save their lives. We are struggling to string together 3 or 4 basic passes. What’s happened?
Have to agree we need another forward as Fishburn is clearly a work in progress, but a decent midfielder is also essential, as Butler seemingly doesn’t think Brogan or Rowley are up to it. We are desperate for someone with a bit of quality who can get the ball on the ground and get us playing football with some composure. Enough of lumping it forward and hoping Whitehall gets on the end of it. Ideally someone who can create and chip in with goals too as our current midfield are contributing next to nothing goal wise. I think Boyce has scored more so far this season than all our midfielders combined?
Changes needed pronto as Chester gaining momentum after a slow start and we are going the other way.
Agree with that 414 .. especially the first paragraph , despite the final results performances have been far from convincing and IMO we are some what lucky to be where we are currently.

In fairness wasnt a lot to cheer about especially first half .. although indeed still toppa the league i just get the impression many Iron fans assume we are better than what we actually are. I hope this defeat is a blip and doesnt lead to a turbulent run a la Kiddy wh have done just that.
My pre season pick for promotion Chester going along nicely after a dicky start and will be a litmus test as to just how good or average we are.
heres the Scarbor version of Ironarmy…images of the away end and can see just how bad the view must of been.

dont know why but i just had a feeling this would be our first loss, this feeling was compounded when seeing the starting line up..had bad day written all over it and so it transpired.
Very poor first half followed by an improved second but zero pace cutting edge up front which was obvious looking at the line up.
Its been a cracking start to the season but have the performances really been that good (convincing) ..i dont think so and the wheels could easily come off without strengthening up front , all we need is Roberts to get crocked again and it really would make it hard to stay where we are now.
Wasnt impressed by AB line up .. Evans in wrong position when Brogan Rowley Shrimpton on the bench and surey Fishy should have started in place of Whall…Cant help think the fans where let down especially on the first half showing.
Question is where can the club find a decent striker who would come here on loan ??? not easy but i hope they can and quickly.
Looked like a terrible ground for away fans negative comments re overcrowding and no view of the game etc etc and the pitch had more repairs than Del Boys Robin Reliant… still i hope everyone had a pleasant day at the seaside candy floss n all ..just a shame the footy had to spoil it.
light weight in attack was bound to happen at some point running with such a small squad just come earlier than expected… defense needs to play well tomorrow or we get beat for sure.
3-2 to Boro looks tempting for a sneaky 10 quid wager at 35/1 ..
Having already predicted a high scoring draw i have decided to go with my head n change that to a high scoring loss .. listening to AB re injuries and the pitch etc just makes me think Scarboro will nick it… we got to loose sometime could well be tomorrow… just know Bennet n Cam Wilson will play a blinder but also Boro do look pretty tasty up front (think its Tear danger man) so our lot gotta be well up for it in defense.
At least the weather looks nice so the candy floss quoffing stroll along the prom may soften the blow if the result goes against us.
Hope im wrong ..its been known to happen before.
This fixture has got a few goals in it for sure ..
im going 3-3
Scunny 3 Newc 0
Att 1899 (has to be doesnt it ?)
Wouldnt be surprised to see fringe players

Bullseye!
